“Stopped in for Sunday brunch. Our first time here and wanted to check it out based from word of mouth. Seated quickly and server took our drink orders. I had a Bloody Maria after inquiring what the difference was between that and a Mary (tequila instead of vodka). Quite good actually. Probably a new preference.My food order was something called a Capricious Goat. Egg omelette with goat cheese, cherry tomatoes, and arugula. Served with home fries. It was a plateful. Nice mix of flavors. And the goat cheese was local.Hubby got the pretzel bread which came with beer cheese and apple slices. The bread was very interesting and reminded me of dense cornbread. The cheese was also quite different from what we were used to. To me it had an almost pimento spread type vibe. Cold with just a touch of heat.Hubby's other small plate was the beef empanada. Two generous sized pieces with a roja sauce for dipping. Golden brown with a very well seasoned filling.I spied their blackboard on the wall with posted drinks and desserts and my eyes lit up when I saw banoffee pie listed. Since this is something I've always been curious about, we decided to share a slice. The presentation as it was carried to our table was impressive! There it sat on it's own little pedestal. The pie itself was very eye appealing. First bite you could tell it was ooey gooey good with all that caramel. The sliced bananas were just right and that crust was amazing too. Very rich dessert and I'm glad we tried it.Service was outstanding. Now I know why this is a popular place. Looking forward to returning.“

“Everything I've ever had here is delicious. I've been to Sunset West a couple of times and they never disappoint. It IS cash only but it's totally worth it. The people that work there are super accommodating and friendly. Give it a try!Parking: You'll always find a parking spot. They're everywhere.“

“We ordered Bonfire Old Fashioned BBQ for a first birthday party with our family for approximately 15 people and everything turned out AMAZING!! We had brisket, fried chicken, mac & cheese, garlic mashed potatoes and cornbread!! Glenn and Andrea provided us with all of the fixings for a brisket or chicken sandwich including their delicious homemade sauces!! We would highly recommend them for any catering needs!! The food and service is top notch!!“

“Lovely dinner! We did the pre-paid fixed 4 course menu. Great food, staff was wonderful. Owner came by and was able to answer my husband's questions about how many kilowatts output their solar panels produce and all about the structure, which is beautiful as well as LEED certified.“

“We were 5 for dinner and walked in on a Thursday night with no problem to the house. This place was busy but seated us right away. The place is very nice and super comforting. The staff were all happy and helpful. Everything that came to our table was great. I have to mention the fries that came with my Snydertown Cheesesteak were outstanding!!! “Homan's General store and gas station is a small business operated by friendly staff and the most friendly owner. Brenda, Is the most wonderful person who is always working her butt off and eager to hear what's going on in your life and talk to you. I have come to appreciate this so much over the last year as I have been having trouble in my life and I don't believe she understands how much of an impact she made on my life. This is a gas station I will go out of my way to go to just to support the business. The service is what you would expect from a small business with only a few workers at a time. So sometimes there is a slight delay in counter convenience but trust me it is so worth the wait. The food is fantastic and they always have such unique options. As for the ambiance of the store when I step into there I feel like I am walking into my mom's house. I feel safe, and at home. I mean who wouldn't enjoy feeling like that. With all this being said I admire and appreciate this place because it is exactly what the workers and owner here deserve. Thank you Brenda for all of the hard work you put in and all of the support and talks you have given me over the last months. It has been very appreciative. “Great little diner off of the 322 route. Well worth the detour. The food was cooked to perfection and had a great taste. The service was very good and fast. Both the hamburger and chicken were not over cooked and very moist. Not the cheapest diner in the country but the food made it worth it. Not over priced either.“

I came during college GameDay Saturday September 9th. had a wonderful shrimp and grits the grits were so creamy you couldn't even tell they regrets it was the best I've had and I've tasted a lot of different shrimp and grits. Victoria the bartender makes excellent drinks if she's working try to sit at the service plaza bar or the counter right in front of her. she makes amazing bloody Marys and was doing an excellent job at making drinks that the other servers wanted she was just in and out quick quick.“

“The food here was so good we went in on a Thursday morning and the servers all seemed annoyed we were even there though. Our girl didn't really come check on us and there was a 15 minute gap between us receiving our actual plates. But the food tasted good.“

“Okay, it's a hotdog shack and if you don't like hotdogs you have no business being here. But it is an ideal spot to grab a quick lunch while fishing the fantastic trout streams in the area. I have not been here for several years and was very glad to see that Mr Hotdog was still open and serving their fantastic Texas dogs. Great staff including a friendly waitress and a owner who is a solid guy that chatted with me about the troubles of the world for a good 20 minutes. “Perkins is out go to restaurant. Great food Good prices Employees are great. Feels like home. Micah was our server tonight. He is friendly, pleasant, and does a great job. He is always nice Tonight we came in th door and he hurried to prepare and clean of tables to get everyone seated. Micah is awesome“

“Dining experience was good, started off with ? wine, although the waitress wasn't exactly sure on most things but she was 18-20 yrs old since so I give her credit for not knowing...had calamari with some strange creamy sauce, not sure about the sauce but calamari was good, had pork chop with mashed potatoes, green beans with a butternut squash sauce (maybe) at the bottom, whatever it was, hit the spot!“

[who, without fail through the years, has always been very attentive & accommodating every single time he's been our server!] ............ promptly brought out!! “Highly recommend Prospectors! They were very attentive when we placed our order and helped us make some decisions when we were unsure of flavors and serving sizes. They helped us feed our hungry personal crowd of about 40 during the busy Penn State graduation weekend with ease. They were super pleasant and helpful when we picked up the food. And, above all, absolutely everybody raved about all of the food! Actually, two weeks later, people are still talking about the food! The brisket, pulled chicken, salads, Mac n cheese, sauces … everything was delicious and well-priced. Do yourself a favor and let the cooking up to them!“

“It's a lovely, colonial-style inn near State College, Pa. My husband's Old Fashioned rivaled a Whiskey Sour he'd had at NOLA's Couchon--memorable. My Sauvignon Blanc was very nice. Our calamari and lamb lollipop apps were perfectly cooked and expertly seasoned. Same for the salmon filet and the pork chop. Homemade key lime pie was a lovely ending to a delightful meal. But when I received the credit card chit to sign, there was a discrepancy . The bill was thirty cents less than what appeared on the credit card chit. There was also a credit card service charge of $4.95. When asked, our waitress said she didn't understand it either and the best she could do was say it had something to do with taxes. So, as far as we can figure out, their overly cautious accountant advised Duffy's to collect a six percent sales tax on that $4.95 credit card surcharge just in case. I don't usually mind paying the cc surcharge, but I really did mind that thirty cents that wasn't itemized anywhere. It's a nice restaurant, but they need a new accountant.“

“The bartender Chris was outstanding: personable, offered suggestions since it was our first visit, and checked in frequently. Good looking bar with an old school look. We had cheesesteak, grilled cheese and tomato soup(excellent on a chilly rainy day). It was good, not amazing, no slight. Definitely would go back for an afternoon.“

“Perfect stop after swimming at Bald Eagle State Park. Burgers are good, Gooney burger is big and messy and a bucket of fries is literally a bucket (think medium movie theater bucket) and more than 3 of us could eat. Ice cream is Hersheys hand dipped or soft serve. Soft serve waffle cone is huge as are the sundae boats. Credit cards accepted. Seating inside and out.“

“I wanted to try a chicken oyster. It was delicious and served with mustard sauce. The cinnamon pancakes were also mouth watering. They were sweet but not too sweet. Macchiato was miniature. Not what I'm used to. The waitress warned me when I ordered. I ended up getting a regular coffee as well. Service was 5 stars. My waitress was warm and friendly. The place was busy and was getting busier before I left. I would definitely eat there again.“

“The place was very crowded but we had a very small wait time and once we were seated drinks and appetizers were brought out quickly and then our food all came out at once so everyone could eat together. Even though I ordered a steak and everyone else got burgers. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The staff was very helpful and kept drinks coming. “Did not expect this sort of cuisine in central PA tbh. The pork belly is amazing, the barramundi is crisp and flakey (also a rare fish to find in restaurants), everything was super tasty. Waitresses are great, and the vibe is nice. Did not get rushed at all and truly enjoyed spending time there. Would go back 10/10“
