“We stayed here for a weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were not disappointed. The place is historic and old as dirt. But they've done a wonderful job preserving this great venue. Hardly a bad seat in the house. For the 2 nights we were here, the music was top notch. The food is remarkably yummy, the service is great and the people and vibe is fantastic. Our room was cozy and the bathroom updated. The surrounding area makes for a nice place to wander. If you're a big jazz fan or clueless, this is simply an enjoyable experience.“

The scene was set by it being the hottest day of 2024, which was foreseen in the weather forecast. And yet no one was prepared for the volumes of customers derailed saw on this most auspicious day. It felt like I was reliving the beach invasion of Normandy on D-Day, and before you even ask.. yes I was present. I have lived past lives and that was one of them. Each young lady handles every request expertly and sat each party in a timely matter. It felt like I was watching Artists of the Era of DaVinci, Michaelangelo, and whoever it was who paint the Mona Lisa. “I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Firstly the temperature outside and inside was well balanced and I thought the varnishing of the bar complimented this greatly. This was a good break from finding a room mate at college. I ordered my steak raw and it was delicious. I love eating it raw. Hope to be back soon with my boyfriend and his sons.“
