“The staff are super friendly and the restaurant is kept very clean; you can see the kitchen is nice and tidy. The food is okay though, and there aren't many great American-Chinese restaurants in Waynesboro that I would recommend. I think things are bland to meet older American palettes' needs. It just lacks flavor more often than not.Vegetarian options: You can omit animal proteins and I believe they had tofu options.“

Buffet was fairly large, and fairly well maintained other than the sweet and sour chicken was very over cooked and never improved with new food. “There are many Chinese carryout restaurants, but Hong Kong Express in Hagerstown has a welcoming atmosphere to it. It's more of a fast casual Chinese restaurant. It has plenty of tables and seats for you to dine in. The wood dining furnitures are comfortable and of quality. It sets the tone for welcoming and comfort. The food is excellent!!! Full of flavors!!! The food servings are big!!! The price can't be beat!!! I was in Hagerstown on business, and just found my new favorite Chinese restaurant!!! “A very under-appreciated Chinese spot in the area, their service was quick and their food was absolutely delicious with such large portion sizes you'll have plenty of leftovers. Big fan of this place, especially if you want some classic Chinese goodness.“

“Since covid, the wait times have been super long. But, I will say, it's totally worth it. We have waited 3 hours for our order and once we got it, our cravings were satisfied. This is clearly a family owned and operated business, struggling to meet the demands of their customers. Yeah, the wait time can be long, but the quality is beyond up to par compared to anywhere in Frederick. We will continue to wait a minimum of 1 hour to support this business as long as they continue to provide food that makes our hearts happy“
