White tablecloth fine dining, menu excellent , genuinely welcoming.. they have a cozy little bar for a table for two on a busy night. Staff is wonderful, truly great service and I believe there is a gentleman that opens the door for the guests ( at least that's what my mom told me ). Also I'd like to know that they chose to put those tablecloth mats on each table, so your plates don't ping off the tabletop, things sit nice, comfy on the elbows.. As a dweeb, I take notice of those extra touches.. just sayin'
Delicious traditional dishes, but with a real touch of genuine.
They put craft and dedication to cooking these traditional dishes.
The staff is one of the finest in the area, service was outstanding I would say make sure to order the special. Even though you might not know what it is, you can trust that this kitchen will deliver an amazing plate.
Recently I went there with my parents, and they reminded me to wear something nice and make sure I don't have any holes in my jeans.. haha!
That's the kind of place this is in a great way.
Isabella has been doing it great for I would say almost 20 years one of my best friends used to cook their way back when and was always regarded as a very great kitchen in the area.
Always a great choice.

“This halal cart is a quick and convenient stop for lunch or dinner. Stopped there while driving through and they are conveniently located at a gas station, so parking is no issue. As for the food, would recommend the chicken gyro. It was very flavorful, and I enjoyed the twist that the BBQ sauce brought.”

“We had an overall good experience. Our wait staff was wonderful! Detailed, attentive, unassuming. The young men that were clearing or filling water were excellent too. Our food was delicious. However, it was my mother-in-law’s first visit. She has ambulation issues and walks slowly. We entered the casino floor which is gated off from the shops and restaurants. We did not realize we could not enter the restaurant from our position without going back to the front entrance. There was a gate located about 20 ft from the restaurant and I had hoped that if we asked them to open it for a disabled patron they may be able to help. I called to the (5 or 6) women behind the host station. They looked at me and ignored me. I called out again and a woman came out to talk to us. It was obvious she was unhappy to help. I asked if the gate could bel opened to allow my mother to cross the isle without going all the way back. She (later found out her name was Dawn and she was one of two managers) was dismissive, short and offered no assistance, no empathy. And she finished by saying “this IS a casino”. Which I found insultingly obvious. I suspect she didn’t realize we had a reservation. I suspect Dawn didn’t realize we were going to be her customers. I didn’t mention it - but shouldn’t they be hospitable to even the casino goers? It’s wasn’t a big deal in the scheme of life. But it did put a dark cloud over our dinner. I’ve been to Ruth Chris many times at many different locations. I’ve never been treated poorly. I won’t be returning the Wilkes-Barre location.”

“We came to this restaurant on our second night in town. The hostess sat us next to a window where we could watch the creek. As we were waiting for our food, we were able to watch the employees make sushi which was kind of cool. Our server was extremely dry and not friendly at all. We ordered a beef and asparagus appetizer which neither of us had seen before. This was sooo good. I ordered salmon hibachi, the person I was with got the duck. Both meals were well seasoned, had a lot of flavor, and had great portion sizes. The dollar amount for the meals weren't bad.”

We all left satisfied. A true family owned restaurant when you see the owners working with staff to keep things flowing during peek time. I would highly recommend D's diner.”

“I had just missed my flight back home and after 5 hours at the airport things began to look rather grim. I then decided to take a walk and by complete luck happened to use this location as a pickup spot for my Uber. What started as me wanting a small snack then turned into a newfound appreciation for Somali cuisine and an eating experience I will have yet to forget. Tawakal Halal gave me the best food and service in about 14 minutes than other establishments have managed to give me in an hour, so great in fact, that I wouldn’t have forgiven myself if I didn’t go a second time before I left. The food by itself is beyond amazing and I could write a whole review entirely on how great the food is, however, my personal favorites were the Goat Biryani and the Halwa as an excellent dessert option after. In addition to the food, the service here was amazing as well. The staff were always making sure I had everything I needed and doing everything they could to make my experience there a pleasant one, even offering me tea as I waited for my Uber. All in all, the best way I could describe this café to anyone wanting to know more about it is that it is truly everything you could ever ask for in a dining experience: fantastic food and amazing service. It even no longer made me upset that I missed my flight that day for if I hadn’t, I would have never been able to find this gem of a café. Thank you, Tawakal Halal, so much for giving me an experience I will never forget and know that when I return to Boston, you can bet the first stop on my itinerary will be your café. They were not too thin, just perfect actually!We will definitely go back for more. The prices were not bad either!”

“I went there today with my husband for a "date". We wanted something different. We were NOT let down! We came in the middle of a kids party and were welcomed and shown a seat even though they were overwhelmed with kids and their parents. I watched as they treated the kids AND parents with respect and laughter. Hard to do nowadays. The coffee is great! Husband had the Phantom and he was impressed. I will be back with my kids! It's scary enough to be interesting for adults but "fun" enough for even small kids. Nothing jumps out at you. Great place to find books by local authors.”

Yesterday we tried to sit outside on a beautiful afternoon however, we were disturbed by an individual with an amplifier and a microphone, professing religion, and the Bible to the point where his volume was disruptive to our meal. Employee of Franklin indicated that he’s been told about this before. Call the mayor’s office. His secretary says it’s permissible and that if it bothers me for me to call 911 for the police to handle. Spent a lot of money between drinks and dinner there not happy at all. Wilkes-Barre‘s administration want people to come downtown and patronize businesses. I’m not gonna go down there if I’m gonna have to listen to that for two hours.”

It was all dried. Like it was sitting g under the heat lamp a long time. This is the second time. And it had no taste. Twice . And the prices have gone sky high for. Pasta. 17 for a lousy dish of clams in sauce that had no taste. I’m very sorry we loved co I g here for years. But the food is. O share what it is. “Starbucks (every where) have always been slow - it's just the nature of the beast. Their addition of the drive thru to many of their stores has always baffled me - there is always a line inside, so why did you think adding a drive thru wouldn't add to everyone's wait time - inside and out. That said this location was very nice. You just have to want to add 20-30 minutes to your schedule if you go.”

“Great place to grab a bite. Food is flavorful and service was friendly. They are reasonably priced (almost too much so) especially with the rising cost of takeout these days. You get a lot of food for your money here.

The only reason I’m giving atmosphere 4 stars is because of the lack of parking and there’s not that many seats for dining in. But most people take their food to go and whenever I’ve visited I usually have no trouble finding a seat (though as word gets out about this place that may not be the case for long).

The crew that were working that night went above and beyond! Our food was replaced quickly, was hot, fresh, beautifully presented and excellent!! Antonio, Nathan, & Dalton were 3 of the most wonderful employees I think we've ever encountered!! These 3 gentlemen were so kind and helpful and friendly, they should be training the rest of the staff because they KNOW how to treat not only customers, but people. Burger King should be extremely proud of the 3 employees who not only took pride in their jobs, but took pride in themselves as well, which you don't see often in the younger generation anymore.
