“I heard good things about Elena and I understand the hype now! We tried a lot of different kind of pizza and they were all very good. I generally prefer the ones with tomato sauce but I enjoyed trying different flavours. The pizza with the potatoes and the one with the mushrooms was nice to try. I didn’t enjoy the 4 cheese one but that’s just my preference. Their dough was the star of the show 10/10! It was delicious!“
“commandé 2 plateaux de 30 morceaux ch. il est arrivé avec 1 plateau et après le décompte il y avait que 50 morceaux. Après commandé 5 repas reçu 4 et 15 min.à 20 min. plus tard reçu la 5ième entrée on m'avait oublié, pour se racheter il nous on offre 2 entrées genre oeuf visceux moyen comme goût. Désolé pour le service. A+“
“The atmosphere is trendy and inviting and the service was impeccable without being pretentious. Each dish was delicious while featuring seasonal ingredients. We particularly liked the radish salad. Nice selections of natural wines and cocktails. Do not miss!“
“First experience at Vin Papillon. First of all, the place is small, the tables are close to each other, that surprised me a little! The service, although immaculate, was however very quick at the start of the meal, perhaps a little too much. Afterwards, it adjusted, it was less rushed and more pleasant! However, the quality of the dishes was up to par. It's excellent. It's creative, delicious! The ham is a must, as is the dessert, carrot cake ice cream sandwich.Excellent choice of wine. All quite affordable! 7 shared dishes, 2 glasses of wine, dessert and coffee for $100.It's wonderfull ! A 5 star without a doubt!!!“
“We celebrated a trio of birthdays while we were visiting Montreal. Nolan is super cool vibes and cozy. We let our waiter who I believe is one of the owners curate a menu for our group of 6 at a price point that we set. Felt like we had a great variety of food and good portions and they were able to accommodate some items for my dietary preferences. The food was really good but what was the best was the service. The workers were warm and so friendly and we stayed many hours enjoying the vibes. Highly recommend!“
“Pubjelly is a must in Montreal. Great food amazing ambience and just a superb service staff. Details matter and the team delivers on all fronts. Pubjelly is the perfect mix when you are looking for a fun night , a celebration or just a great dinner à deux! Quality is the focus ! Bravo à l'équipe! V.Pellegrino“
“Quel restaurant incroyable! Merci à Caroline et Salomé pour l'accueil et le service de feu, et aussi à toutes les autres personnes impliquées dans notre service qui ont rendu notre soirée entre amis exceptionnelle. J'y retourne rapidement sans aucun doute tant pour le service, les conseils personnalisés et la nourriture qui me fait encore saliver 48 h plus tard!“
“At first glance it is a quaint, small typical style old montreal restaurant. Exposed stone walls giving us the feel of once upon a time. The wine cellar is large and visible. The staff are all quite friendly and courteous. The owner is friendly, present and on top of it all. The food was tasty. I guess all that one looks for in a eatery of this caliber. So we ate well. We drank well. And we enjoyed each other's company. ( By we I mean my very good friend from out of town and I.)Unfortunately the one thing that bothered me the most was that when I booked our table I was told that, (after much hum and ha-ing by the person taking the reservation), we would have to be done and out by 8 pm . So I agreed thinking that an early dinner,( 6pm) would not be a great issue and having till 8 pm would be more than enough time to enjoy my birthday dinner . Well from 6 till 8 there were a total of 8 people in the entire restaurant. As we left there was only two other people still eating. And no one madly rushing the restaurant to come in. I don't think we needed to be told that we had a cut off time if there were barely any other souls coming. It just made us feel rushed. I understand the logistics of it all. If you create a scenario where there is hight demand then most people will possibly want nothing more than to have an IN to the popular restaurant. So there you have it. The entire evening was enjoyable and yummy. But the false pressure was not needed.“
“It appears they opened in 2022 roughly. We’ve been walking along Ontario Street for a long time and never really got the point to enter. One afternoon we decided to go for a walk and headed in a new direction. We entered It must’ve been a few minutes after four, there were very few people inside. We realized that they had just opened their doors for the day At 4pm. They have a pretty good list of drinks cocktails and a very good beer selection. They also have a happy hour with a price reduction on select drinks. The decor is very modern, there’s something inside that makes you feel energized. The services is great, Jerome was our server, and he took very good care of us.We only went for a few drinks, but will definitely come back and try some of their food.Parking: Your best bet is taking the metro to Berri UQAM and walking over. However, if you are coming by Ca, you can probably strike up a parking on Ontario Street or Atataken.“
“We had an incredible experience at Chi! Wonderful food, the ambiance could not be better and the staff is absolutely amazing. The fries and poke bowl were so delicious. We can’t wait to come back. This truly is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!“
“Excellent card! All the dishes were delicious. On the other hand, the homemade sourdough bread was ordinary and I found a piece of silicone kitchen utensils in the whipped butter that accompanies the bread. Reported to 2 servers and no one apologized for the inconvenience or made a commercial gesture. We expect better in this type of establishment“
“Fantastique expérience culinaire du début à la fin, accompagnée par un excellent service. On a particulièrement aimé les agnolotti de foie de volaille servis avec noisettes et vincotto de camerises, mais tout était absolument délicieux - je dirais même renversant. Merci pour la belle soirée!“
“Charcuterie Board Perfection! Lovely selection of meats and cheeses that you can customize by ordering each cheese, meat and accompaniment. We really enjoyed this local spot after a long day of walking and touring Montreal. Super fast & attentive service from Jerome. The food was quick, correct and absolutely delicious! Although it's on a busy street, we enjoyed our experience and would recommend.“
“I'm a regular at Pick-Up, at one time we went there once a week with friends! It’s a bit like our “wonder of Hochelaga” and we bring ALL our loved ones visiting Montreal here. The garlic fries are amazing, the burgers too, the prices are ok. My absolute favorite is the Seoul Chicken; their fried chicken is second to none. The vegetarian options are great and the fried cauliflower pieces are really good :)Vegetarian options: Fake meat ball for classic burgers, fried cauliflower pieces for fried chicken burgers.“
“Such a fun spot with an excellent wine selection, delicious popcorn & small bites. The staff was super helpful and very knowledgeable about the wine. This is the type of place you wish was in your neighborhood so you could go a few times per week!“
“Tasty pasta, nice ambiance, good service! Focaccia bread is fresh and nice here , they bake it. The only negative point about Barbara is there is no reservation and it is first come first serve, so you need to give your name when you arrive and on Saturday night waiting time was about 50minutes!Vegetarian options: There is vegetarian pasta in the menu“
“The atmosphere is incredible! You can practically see the history on the walls, it feels like a place you'd want to comfortably relax in (complete with lounge-style couches). The staff made great drinks and were very polite. A terrific choice to splurge on a romantic and haute-class evening.“
“For those unaccustomed to crowded drinking establishments (i.e. me), the experience can be disconcerting due to the decibel level far beyond tolerable, where patrons and music s strive to bury each other under a torrent of noise. We were initially assigned two fixed stools in front of the downstream counter, amidst the hubbub. Having noted the availability of a charming little table for two in a more remote corner, I requested a transfer. I wrongly thought that we would be quieter there, but where there were fewer people, a series of speakers helped to overload the space with more sound. This morning, my poor sensitive ears made me pay for it with a sigh, an annoying reminder of the fact that with sound, just like with drinks, you have to go in moderation. On the other hand, my stomach was happy. The Henrietta bar gave him exactly what he wanted: delicious little dishes full of flavor and good cocktails, all at a relatively low price (total: $55 per person). An excellent beef tartare (my number 1 of the evening), a chicken liver mousse that my friend cleaned like you clean a jar of Nutella, popcorn with Manchego which was decimated one piece after the other and, finally, a fresh and tasty ceviche. Three of the four dishes were accompanied by thin slices of bread toasted to near perfection, crunchy on the surface, but tender in the flesh. However, their multiple presence seemed somewhat redundant to me and perhaps there was a “concept” there. My eyes weren't left out either. The presentation of the dishes was sophisticated. In addition, the dining room is clad in elegance with its white walls, globe lights and mirrors. We therefore find the same good visual taste as in the Atlantic tavern, another establishment of certain owners of the place. My friend and I naturally wanted to take advantage of the aesthetics of the place to take some portraits of ourselves, but in the dim light, our faces obviously didn't stand out so well!In short, advice to cushy gourmets like me who prefer a little peace and quiet, it would be better to go there shortly after opening, during the week, rather than at 9 p.m. on a Saturday evening (!) Despite the protest of my eardrums, I wouldn't refuse to go back in the summer season for the terrace and to taste other little delicacies: the cheese sandwich, the deviled eggs, the Portuguese sandwich, the oyster mushrooms...Vegetarian options: Eggs, salad, mushrooms...Parking: Squares all along the street. After 6 p.m. on weekends, nothing to pay.Kid-friendliness: No. We don't serve Kool-Aid.Wheelchair accessibility: If you can climb four steps!“
“Absolutely winning concept. Good organic wines that you can taste in order to choose wisely. Very kind. A beautiful, dynamic, dedicated and attentive team. You feel good there as soon as you enter. A big thank you to Vincent ? it feels good to go out to a place where you feel like you can just be yourself?“
“Wow, what a taste bud tasting culinary experience! I had a wine pairing and really appreciated this option of changing wines depending on our choice of dishes. In the end, I took 3 starters and tasted exquisite wines (private imports) with perfect pairings. A tempting menu, we want to try everything. New tastes, discoveries of dishes concocted with local ingredients. A warm welcome from one of the owners who gave us all the necessary explanations (we asked a lot of questions ;-) to finally make our choices. Truly, a remarkable first experience, we will definitely repeat it. I encourage you to go there, you will leave with the real smile of someone who pays with satisfaction (which is not always the case...).Parking: In front on the street or behind the building via a small back street.“
“An unforgettable culinary experience in the heart of Italy, without even leaving our city! As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Julien, the owner, who was also our server. His kindness and passion for authentic Italian cuisine were contagious, and he took the time to explain the menu to us, enriching our experience. The ingredients were exceptionally fresh, each dish demonstrated careful selection and remarkable expertise. Julien graciously offered us the best focaccia freshly made on site and by him. His commitment to uncompromising quality and his generosity are reflected in the flavor of his dishes. The service, impeccable from start to finish, was both professional and comfortingly warm. Julien and his team made us feel special, transforming a simple meal into a memorable evening. This restaurant is a rare find for those looking to savor the true flavors of Italy, delivered with passion and generosity.A huge congratulations to Julien and his team for this exquisite experience. We highly recommend this gem to anyone who loves good Italian food and look forward to returning for other occasions.Vegetarian options: Yes“
“**Title: "The Pink Flamingo and the Mystical Wine"**Once upon a time, on the Plateau Mont-Royal in Montreal, there lived a pink flamingo named Félix. Felix was an eccentric bird, with bright pink feathers and a beak as long as a baguette. But what made Félix truly unique was his passion for wine. One day, as the sun set and the lights on the Plateau came on, Félix decided to treat himself to a little treat. He had heard about a mysterious bar called "Le Rouge-Gorge". It was said that this bar was frequented by fantastic creatures and that its wine had magical properties.Felix entered the bar, his webbed feet sliding across the polished floor. The Robin Hood was a strange place, with walls lined with feathers and tables carved from cherry wood. At the counter, a one-eyed crow served customers.“A glass of your best wine, please,” Felix said to the crow. The raven handed him a glass of red wine, as deep as twilight. Felix raised his beak and took a sip. Instantly, he felt warmth spread throughout his body. Its feathers began to shimmer like stars."This wine is incredible! Where does it come from?" asked Felix. The raven smiled mysteriously. "It's a well-kept secret, my dear flamingo. This wine is made from grapes grown on the moon. Each sip transports you to distant lands and takes you on extraordinary adventures."Felix was intrigued. He took another sip and suddenly found himself perched on the back of a dragon, flying over snow-capped mountains. Then he found himself at the top of Everest, chatting with a yeti who told him jokes about penguins.“This wine is incredibly wacky!” exclaimed Felix. “I want to buy a whole case of them!”The raven nodded. "It's a wise choice, my friend. But be careful, this wine has side effects. You may find yourself in situations even more absurd than this."Felix didn't care. He ordered a case of lunar wine and left the bar, drunk with happiness and mystery. From then on, every evening, he sipped his wine while contemplating the stars from the roof of his building. And who knows, maybe one day he would meet a yeti penguin in the heart of Montreal.---And there you have it, the wacky story of the pink flamingo Félix and his mystical wine at the bar “Le Rouge-Gorge”! ? ✨“
“Nous avons fait un excellent 5/7 hier soir, le 26 novembre. Le service était d’un professionnalisme a la hauteur d’un 5/5. Fabrice est d’une élégance exceptionnelle. Ca fait du bien de vivre une expérience remarquable dans ce quartier.“
“So, this review is a little different from most, because people often come to a place one time experience a good thing and drop a positive review. I on the other hand expect consistency and I am a little on the OCD side, especially when I travel. That just means I find the restaurants that I like and I have been known to eat the same meals two days in a row. One of the things that stands out immediately to me is that for the most part you have the same staff working dinner or evening shifts as you do the brunch on Saturday and Sunday. This makes for long days but it produces consistency. Timeliness and courtesy are number one for the ladies on the floor. Attention to detail is critical to the men on the cookline, as each plate comes out as an arrangement of food, not simply a pile of ingredients. I was in Montreal for a conference from Friday to Sunday so I was able to eat 2 dinners and 2 brunches, and I have to say they were quite exceptional. I do give the brunch a slight tip of the cap for being more consistent of the two meals and having the best consistency with the Big Brunch, the Americano, and the fresh squeezed juice. It is probably one of the best breakfast/brunches I have had since Verviers, Brussels in 2019. The Big Brunch consisted of fried sunny side up eggs, a sausage, fried potatoes with hollandaise, cubed fresh tomato, sourdough toast, fresh Americano, and fresh orange and grapefruit juice. The flavors work together to complement each other with the eggs having been lightly peppered by the chef and maybe fried in the salty fat from the sausage to give them the right amount of seasoning. Dinner the first day I had a beer and a ribeye prepared medium rare with pepper seasoning and a brown gravy accompanying the pureed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly. The next night I had the charcutier meat with sourdough, which was a nice assortment of the traditional fare one might find. It would have been nice to have found a smaller plate that include both meat and cheese. I did have a bottle of the California 2020 Elizabeth Spencer Cab and it paired well with everything, sometimes a little fruity and others a little spicy depending on how the notes hit the palette. Dinner was the same as the night before, but although the ribeye was ordered medium rare it came out more to medium. That was a little disappointing, but still satisfying in the end. To finish my meal I had the brownie with pecan crumble and sauce which finished off the bottle of Cab perfectly. This morning I had an amazing brunch again, and now I must say adieu as I head to the airport to return home.“
“Superb discovery, I loved it! Favorite for the mushroom scallop foie gras ravioli and the lost brioche for dessert ❤️Edit: I went back in 2023 for MTL à table, it was a treat!I had returned there once again before, and it was more in tapas mode, and I found it really subpar compared to the "starter main course meal dessert" formula.“
“We had a lovely time at Pincette and it was definitely a meal to remember! The atmosphere is cozy and stylish at the same time. The service from Michael and Manon was excellent and so friendly. Drinks were delicious (everything we tried was great, with a special shoutout to the French Canadian cocktail). We liked the lobster ravioli so much that we ordered a second plate of it after finishing the first one ^_^ Merci!“
“Unique bar with an European feel. The atmosphere had a soft and cozy ambiance. Staff members were lovely and charming. They were playing music with classic hits during the night I was there, which made for a fun vibe. Their blue hawaii cocktail was delicious (the coconut cream is vegan btw)! Would definitely come back here again.“
“Friendly, helpful service. Pretty attentive. House cocktails, Sous Bois and Fleurs du Mal were nicely crafted and well presented.Very relaxed atmosphere on a Monday, wish the music was louder because it wasn't really memorable. One of the sinks was missing soap and lots of graffiti in the washroom. I know they want to support local artists but not really a fan of the works on display which were all the same style.“
“C'était ma première fois et certainement pas la dernière. La nourriture était vraiment délicieuse, les gnoccis étaient wow et que dire du grill cheese décadent. Le staff ets vraiment friendly, ça donne envie d'y rester toute la soirée, belle carte de vin et de coktails. Allez s'y !“
“Such a quaint and lovely spot for a romantic dinner. Fantastic atmosphere for a date night, definitely. Food was delicious and very well seasoned. And the French onion soup was the perfect starter. Staff was delightfully charming and knowledgeable. Ask for a suggestion for the wine pairing and you won’t be disappointed! Went above and beyond to make our night spectacular. Will definitely go again and would absolutely recommend to anyone!“
“Very good healthy brunch I had egg benedict with foie gras and it was excellent. The meal was a reasonable portion and I was able to finish without having too much difficulty finishing. Very fast service I ordered my meal and after about 8 minutes I was served“
“Honestly, pleasantly surprised!I was waiting to go see the OSM. A service that is both super-fast and professional by Vincent, at the bar. I ordered the sea bream, how fresh! Perfect execution, with green pea puree and fennel and mint salad. I really didn't expect such a successful dish, such an exquisite balance of flavors. Well done!“
“Ended up here out of the blue because the table we had at another restaurant ended earlier than expected and it was pouring rain out! (4 girls who needed more time to catch up)They had space, the environment was beautiful and lovely, and the staff were so kind and knowledgable! We had such a good time! I honestly cannot wait to go back!Already recommended this place to 2 separate out of towners and they are also excited to go!“
“As you arrive, you notice the vintage handrail with lions as supports. You are set for a good start. Once you arrive upstairs, it's crowded with people of all styles, the atmosphere is festive. We also notice all the ingredients in lacto-fermentation near the entrance. We tried the famous fermented fries and it's really a brilliant and delicious idea. All this accompanied by several good beers including their famous Kolsch! I will have to go back to experience their famous terrace“
“Quelle découverte que celle faite hier soir ! Une table de rêve , des plats savoureux où chaque ingrédient est choisi avec soin . Amalgame parfait des saveurs, fraîcheur irréprochable des produits. Et que dire du service…Des plus courtois ,souriant et attentionné . À notre grand bonheur, le chef qui prend le temps de nous saluer ! Un moment à répéter ,c’est certain . Théophile vaut le détour . Merci Robin !“
“Went to Mignon a week ago and the service and the food was amazing! The menu is super simple and straight to the point! Really love the ambiance of this place super casual with a fine dining feel! Highly recommend going to Mignon for any occasion!!“
“We celebrated a friend's bday here and it was pretty great. The vibe is very intimate so perfect for a bday or other small group events. The food was very good and they accommodated some of our friends with dietary restrictions. The staff was nice, their specialty drinks were pretty good as well. The music got a little loud for our taste after 11 but I get it they try to have sort of a party vibe even do in my opinion I would keep it lounge as the place really has no dance floor or any space to dance really. Over all cute little spot I would definitely recommend it for small parties if you want an intimate vibe.Dietary restrictions: My friends wanted vegetarian options and they made them a fresh garden salad ? that was very nice.“
“If you're looking for a unique dining experience then it's for you.Great service and waiters and friendly staff.I gave 4 star on food only because I want to see a better presentation however the quality and value are there.Highly recommend this restaurant.“
“Dietary restrictions: Difficult to find information independently on allergens, staff were committed to helping to verify concerning items.Kid-friendliness: Underwhelmed because there was a lack of flexibility to develop kid friendly (and kid sized) options at a lower rate, especially considering the allergy work arounds we had as well.“
“I loved my meal! The quantity was very good and the price I found really not expensive compared to others, especially compared to the size of the plate ? The waitress was super friendly and fast! The whole family ate well (plus the meals are free for the children wow)Kid-friendliness: Free meals to their liking, large bench seat with placemat to draw.“
“Philemon est phenomenal! I cannot say enough good. Booked a dinner reservation on New Year's Eve; the meal was lovely and certainly worth the 35$. The wait staff was beyond kind, even after the place turned into nightclub form and became packed and chaotic. The bar gave us a free shot to start, which made my night, and had all my friends enamoured with my selection, so a massive thank you to whomever did that. By the midnight countdown, everyone was tipsy, dancing, and happy—I could not think of a better atmosphere to begin my 2024 with. So thank you, Philemon, merci beaucoup, and I hope to return someday if I'm ever in town again.“
“The staff provides great service, a beautiful atmosphere, good choice of wine, hot meal, well cooked and seasoned. The portions are very generous. For all the Karens, you don't go there to eat in 30 minutes, bill paid, take the time to sit down, enjoy a little vino, and don't be stupid, order one in, continue with your bottle, talk, talk, talk, and order you a real Italian dish! Even though the steak and lamb is good, TAKE THEIR PASTA SPECIALTY! Stunning Italian restaurant! WORST NOT SPA TOO SALTY.P.s if you don't eat any serious spa takes to bring.“
