“Amazing experience and food at Nourri au beurre! We tried the discovery menu and we were so impressed by the quality of the dishes and their wine pairings. Yohann, our waiter, was very knowledgeable on the wines as well as the meals themselves. He was extremely attentive and he made the experience that much more enjoyable!“
“Bustling French brasserie. Excellent food. Service was good although I felt we didn’t get the same attention as francophone customers but it didn’t result in issues. I can recommend the place and would definitely come back for the food. Fish soup, croc monsieur, quiche are recommended. I also liked you can take your time here despite the business in this restaurant!“
“I would have to say that this was absolutely one of the best meals we’ve ever had!!! We started with a plate of Oysters that were perfect! We had the Arctic Char for 2 with a side of Gnocchi and Caesar salad the fusion of flavour in the sauce on the Char was heavenly. The fish was done to perfection!! The Gnocchi was unlike any we had ever had and the herb oil drizzle highlighted the perfect texture and flavour of the gnocchi. The deconstructed Caesar was perfect!! We finished the meal off with the Maple Creme Brûlée. The entire staff were friendly supportive and knowledgeable from the moment we walked in!! C’est Manifique!! Bravo!!!“
“Really nice experience overall. The place was cozy and welcoming, with a really intimate ambiance. The menu was five or six appetizer plates, and five or six main plates. Seeing other photos of the menu I guess they rotate the plate quite often. All the options were really appealing, and we are really happy with what we ordered. The price is expensive, but for a different restaurant experience it was nice. We really enjoyed it.Vegetarian options: There were no vegetarian options“
“Everything was terrific, which was, of course, expected. Our server, I believe Gabriel from other reviews, was fabulous, friendly, and super attentive. No question was too much; every teammate we encountered was on point and super invested in the success of our meal. I cannot wait to be back. This is a bucket list project, and I have waited pre-pandemic for this one, and it did not disappoint. I will be making the frisee salad very soon; what a lovely surprise in taste for a simple starter salad. Every dish and drink was perfect. Merci, gentlemen.“
“Ooooooooh.. I was drawn here by.. my nose! First time I came to the Eaton Center and discovered this secret corner, by boarding the Stairway to Heaven's! We didn't eat anything there, it was a luxury we couldn't afford. The concept of Time Out reminds me of the Marché des Promenades CF corner. In any case, dare to set foot on the escalator to go up there.“
“When I say the brunch was exceptional and so good, believe me? will go back for dinner and supper. The ambiance was amazing and the place so welcoming, not saying that the service was great too. ?️ do yourself a favour and get poached eggs smoked salmon?“
“When you arrive at Billy's, you feel like home. The team is warm, smiling, and the service is fast. We treat ourselves to truly delicious homemade dishes: an excellent Jerusalem artichoke soup, an ultra-soft fried chicken on a waffle, and a floating island for dessert, worthy of the name. In short, a real joy. Can not wait for next time !“
“"Outstanding ambiance, top-notch food quality, and excellent service. We sampled both the Canton and Toscan brunch plates, and they were both exceptional, though personally, I preferred the Canton. Each plate was generously portioned. A minor note: the ham included in some dishes is more like pulled meat than traditional sliced ham, which I enjoyed but my friend found the aroma too meaty. Our server, Benjamin, was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable. Don't forget to explore the side menu for additional options. I'll definitely be returning and recommending it to others."“
“It's been a long time since we came to this excellent restaurant and we were delighted by the refined cuisine and the courtesy of the welcome and service. Scallops, lamb, duck, char leek tartlet, everything was excellent! And desserts too! See you soon!“
“What a superb restaurant! We came for the first time for brunch. The service was impeccable: the servers were attentive and visibly passionate. The meal was delicious, reasonably priced, and the restaurant was beautiful. We will definitely come back to this restaurant regularly.“
“Tucked away at the back of a church this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We sat at the chefs table and were able to see all the food being prepared and ask the chefs more details about the food. We had the wine pairing menu which was excellent. Our server was very accommodating as one of the wines was not to our taste and they quickly replaced it with an excellent choice. The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.“
“Good experience, it was very quiet and the meal was very good. Even if it's more seafood specialties, the piece of meat with fries was excellent. Perfect cooking and seasoning.I should be able to come back and try more dishes on the menu because it was quite limited here with just one dish.“
“Very good evening thanks to the delicious and generously served food, we chose a raclette that came with a creamy vegetable garden! All the staff were very pleasant: attentive, professional while being discreet. A big thank you to our very friendly waitress (Marseillaise!) who made us want to come back!“
“Very good place. Impeccable and personal service, well played and diligent. This restaurant is not for the small budget though, check the prices. A suggestion: while charging $15 for a beer, it would be good to offer an original local micro beer, we have excellent ones in Montreal (Brewskey, Messorem, Toltek). Excellent food and worth the price (it's relative!). It should be noted that a very beautiful private reception room is available and welcoming for 50 people in the basement. In short, I recommend it for a chic evening before a concert or to mark a birthday, etc.“
“Gorgeous atmosphere and decoración. Good service.I had an excelente house prosecco to drink, and only one dish: magret de canard roti with vegetable crudités. The meat was not bad, not very tasty. The price outrageously expensive, 120 CAD after taxes and tip, about 84 EUR, which buys you an outstanding duck dinner in Toulouse.“
“First of all, let me start with saying this is a dining experience. The presentation is very artistic and the flavors are delicate and to be savored. It's not the type of place to go if your interested is a warm, superfilling comfort meal. Atmosphere is beautifully decorated and has nice lighting. Service was excellent, special shout out to Valentino for humoring us. Would definitely recommend for the experience if you're in Montreal for a few days.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. Hard pressed to get children to eat these things.“
“I chose the Cherrier café for a surprise event on the occasion of my beloved wife's 60th birthday...everything went wonderfully, the small intimate room, the big screen for the presentation of a video montage and above everything, the charming and efficient waitress Gabrielle. Thanks again to the whole team!“
“My wife and I had a fantastic evening here on Friday. It has a warm atmosphere that made us want to stay much longer than we would have normally. The food was exquisite, and a good value for the quality provided. The wine list was extensive, featuring wines from several French regions, as well as some from Italy, Spain, US, and Canada. The servers were attentive, speaking French and English, and there was a sommelier on staff to help with the wine. The plates weren’t overly large, but we were quite filled after three courses, wine, and an aperitif. We are definitely coming back the next time we’re in town.“
“Excellent card! All the dishes were delicious. On the other hand, the homemade sourdough bread was ordinary and I found a piece of silicone kitchen utensils in the whipped butter that accompanies the bread. Reported to 2 servers and no one apologized for the inconvenience or made a commercial gesture. We expect better in this type of establishment“
“My husband and I went here the first night of our honeymoon: super friendly staff (Ludo especially!), delicious food, and huge wine selection. The steak frites was exceptional. Marie (another server) was very attentive to our needs as well.“
“Refined, tasty and original cuisine. Very nice presentation of the dishes. Generous portions until dessert. My razor clam had a little sand which made it crispy, which is a shame because the taste was exquisite. The black pudding had a texture that was too soft in my opinion but it was really tasty. The lobster bisque in contact with the arugula salad dressing gave me a strange feeling of too much acidity in my throat... like vomit. For the rest, I loved it.“
“Truly an incredible experience. My husband and I loved our meal at Boulud! The service was exceptional and our meal was absolutely delicious. This restaurant goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience. We will definitely be back!“
“What a discovery! Delicious and hearty meals in a very welcoming and warm environment. Whether you order your meals to go or dine in, you will not be disappointed. There is plenty of variety to please all tastes, fresh ingredients and impeccable service! Bring your taste buds on an adventure and visit this place for yourself, I highly recommend!“
“Our server was Theo. He had a table of 18 in addition to ours. He was nothing short of amazing. Restaurant is SUPER busy but is so well run you can’t help but sit back and enjoy show put on by the wait staff. The food was excellent and brought out with perfect timing Make the effort to try this place. You won’t be sorry.“
“A laid back spot that's great for a date or just a casual hangout with a couple of friends. It's not big, and would probably be best for parties of 4 max. The plates are small and meant to be shared, but price-wise could quickly add up, so don't come too hungry. I really enjoyed the truffle spaghetti.“
“I enjoyed breakfast each morning of my trip to Montreal at Osco! inside the Intercontinental hotel. Restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive. I was helped by nearly everyone there. Francine, Marc, Robin, and Ivan. Thank you for making my stay more enjoyable!“
“Wow, what a taste bud tasting culinary experience! I had a wine pairing and really appreciated this option of changing wines depending on our choice of dishes. In the end, I took 3 starters and tasted exquisite wines (private imports) with perfect pairings. A tempting menu, we want to try everything. New tastes, discoveries of dishes concocted with local ingredients. A warm welcome from one of the owners who gave us all the necessary explanations (we asked a lot of questions ;-) to finally make our choices. Truly, a remarkable first experience, we will definitely repeat it. I encourage you to go there, you will leave with the real smile of someone who pays with satisfaction (which is not always the case...).Parking: In front on the street or behind the building via a small back street.“
“Fantastic. One of 'many' great places to eat in Old Montreal. Having said that, Modavie stood out as being one of the best. Service was excellent, the decor & live music was great as well. The food......perfection!French Onion soup & the Duck Confit were both the best we've had yet. The 'huge' bowl of local muscles was also the best.Highly recommended!!! ?“
“Early dinner because the restaurant is small, which was fine with us. We tried the tasting menu for two and every course was superb. I was a bit skeptical about some of the wines—no, go with it, they pair beautifully with the dishes. Great neighborhood to hang around, the sommelier was the best.“
“It was delicious, an impeccable 4-course service and a culinary experience discovered for us, fusion and tasty flavors, to be repeated regularly. The choice and the food and wine pairing suggestions are judicious and the pisco sour is great! The service, a little long but since it was Valentine's Day and it was full, it's OK. Courteous and attentive staff. A must!“
“Good and friendly service. We really liked the shrimp risotto. Excellent seasoning. Dish served well. For an additional CA$8, we had a green salad for starters, which was very good, and a dessert, which is very good value for money. We tested the pistachio mousse. Great. Very good taste in the assembly of the dishes, although the menu is not long.“
“Great place, with a good variety of Belgian beers. However, as a true Belgian, he misses certain essential specialties such as peaches with tuna, American fries, etc. The mussels were good but nothing really special. I still recommend it to all my Belgian friends!“
“Great quality food with the best service! I always feel so welcome when I get food here. The attention that is given to all the clients is unmatched. You cannot leave this restaurant without a smile on your face even if it’s only a takeout order. :)“
“Service for lunch was very slow, but service for dinner was very fast. Weirdly the lunch menu is the same as the dinner menu, but the sandwich and lunch options aren't great, better for dinner. I did at least have a good poke bowl for lunch, tons of tuna which i thought was great and plenty of mango and other fruit. Really sizable bowl and quite filling. Had the pasta for dinner and it was actually quite good - a spicy vodka sauce was very tasty. It was a large portion but rather heavy so I didn't come close to finishing the serving. It's a convenient option for sure and decent overall.“
“delicious... amazing! we had sweetbread, beef tartare, filet mignon, ratatouille, swordfish, vegetable soup. it was all amazing! however the beef tartare could have been better. they also had english menus for us which was very nice. desserts were absolutely phenomenal too! there was this drunk guy next to us who was speaking randomly and we couldn't understand. it was fun though HAHA“
“Notice of November 10, 2023MTL Table Menu:Scallops, delicatta squash, braised endive with garlic creamThis smooth and balanced starter really immersed me in the heart of elegant and refined cuisine. A great success for a most formidable appetizer!Braised deer tamal in red wine, chorizo, pancetta espumaAccompanied by the agreement La Posta, Pizella, Valle de Uco Mendoza (Malbec) 2020The somewhat raw appearance of the dish could suggest a certain heaviness to the latter. This was certainly confirmed during tasting, but the power of the aromas sublimating the deer made you want to come back until you were thirsty. Speaking of thirst, the choice of pairing with this Argentinian wine was wise, as the latter has little tannin. The whole thing formed a pretty composition, tasty but without being extreme.Chocotorta, homemade dulce de leche cream, April amaretto, cocoa biscuitThe dulce de leche cream was particularly exceptional, incredibly light! If I had to be picky, the dessert as a whole (and this is coming from a huge sweet tooth) was a little too rich. However, the portion has been considered not to be too large, to allow this meal to end on a very pleasant note. The place, of a perfectly correct size, is decorated in a style combining greenery, wood and an industrial aspect (due to its location in a set of stores in a large industrial building)Downside, it is not on the metro lines, but remains very easily accessible by public transport! The team was very pleasant, this evening, it was an excellent time!“
“Wow, what crazy gastronomy!! Ask Simon the owner to make you a selection of his dishes!! Wow and wow for real we were won over, perfect service, excellent food and perfect atmosphere!! Thank you very much Simon and his partner, what a wonderful evening, we are going to go back for sure!!Dietary restrictions: Arachnid allergies“
“I absolutely adore this restaurant. I plan my visits in advance for special occasions and spend the afternoon before excited for what I might order. I also enjoy going alone and sitting at the bar, which is nice on the way home from being out. My favourite menu items have been the chèvre with confit tomatoes, the steak frites (which I prefer with salad), the house ravioli (French style Italian food will always win me over) and the tartare. The desserts here are also delicious. People love the fish soup, I am however not a fan but I think it's just personal preference. It's one of their signature items so I recommend trying it and deciding for yourself. The restaurant is fully staffed with a very courteous host, servers who know the menu by heart, and food runners who fill water and clear plates very attentively. I love the service and food comes out in a timely manner. The kitchen is hidden away behind swinging saloon doors and I'm curious what goes on in there. I get the sense that it's very loud and busy like a well oiled machine. I imagine a blur of white chef hats and jackets quickly cutting, cooking, and plating. Or maybe it's a small quiet efficient team. Who knows? Only the employees.“
“This is my second time coming back to ithq. Both times, I ordered the tasting menu. All courses were tasty. Of course I had preferences over others. With that said, this is a great experience if you want to try experimental foods, impeccable services in a warm atmosphere *at more affordable prices compared to pure tasting restaurants*Both times were a 2.5-3 hour experience.“
“This bistro has a cozy feel. We had breakfast here. Food portions were very generous. Service was attentive. Great value.Parking: As always, check street parking time restrictions, because there are restrictions, but for us we were able to park (around 11a.m. on a Friday) very nearby for free.“
“Delicious food, amazing service, and wonderful and friendly chef! The food was prepared with much care and was exceptionally fresh. I really loved the curry bread that was offered when I went, and it was overall a lovely experience. Highly recommend!“
“Saint-Laurent Café: A hidden culinary treasure in BouchervilleIn the heart of Old Boucherville, lies a little culinary treasure: the Saint-Laurent Café. As soon as you walk through the door, you are charmed by the warm and authentic atmosphere that reigns in the establishment. The menu is original and diverse, offering dishes ranging from deviled eggs with caviar (a classic of French gastronomy) to aged Quebec beef striploin, including delicious braised leeks accompanied by a butter sauce and homemade paneer cheese. All the dishes are exceptional, both for the quality of the ingredients and the finesse of the flavors. As my father so eloquently said during our dining experience: “We have a restaurant worthy of the greatest gourmet restaurants right around the corner from our house, damn us! ".The service is also exceptional. Our host, Guillaume, offered us unparalleled, attentive and professional service. Not to mention the talented chef Laurent in the kitchen, a genius in the kitchen!I was even convinced to try carrot cake to end our wonderful evening, even though I don't usually like carrot cakes. I did well to trust Guillaume! This cake was simply divine. Try it and you will understand. In summary, our experience at Saint-Laurent Café was perfect. I recommend this establishment 1000%. It’s a real little culinary gem to discover!“
