With an operating drive thru, the poutine I got wasn't the best, however for how busy it was, the food was exceptional, and the price I got for 48oz of poutine was fair. And most importantly, the staff was very friendly.“

I opted for spaghetti as the side and still got blessed by the team with rogue delicious spicy fries along with a delicious dipping dipping sauce. “I visited Olivia's last week for the first time and had an incredible experience. The food was freshly made and tasted very good. I would recommend though to try your sauces before you choose to put them in your burger/ salad etc. (they might taste too salty for some). The staff is friendly and efficient. I saw Jean Coutu and others next door, so I saw it a few times while walking around, but honestly, it looked a bit old on the outside, so I wondered if it was a properly run restaurant a few times. The glass was old so it was hard to see inside, but the hall in the restaurant was neater and quite spacious than I expected. There were quite a few Koreans eating there.Food is divided into meals and snacks (chicken, snacks, etc.), and since we have kids, we order Jajangmyeon and chicken. Jajangmyeon was a lot better than I expected. The contents inside weren't bad, and it was nice that the noodles didn't get dry. I tried both fried and seasoned chicken and compared them, and the fried chicken was not bad. It doesn't have a sophisticated taste like Korean franchises, but it's still fried crispy and not greasy, so it doesn't taste like the chicken is soaked in oil. Quite a clean taste. The seasoning is made with boneless meat, haha. To be honest, the seasoning isn't bad, but it's a taste I'm familiar with from places like Cheogatjip Whole Chicken in Korea. The chicken is pretty high quality and the taste isn't bad. What is disappointing is the amount. As for the Jajangmyeon, reviews from those who ate it at the hall say that the portion is generous, but the portion is smaller than expected for the price. Usually, when you look at Korean restaurants in other countries, the amount of food is larger if you eat to go than if you eat in the hall, but here it is the opposite. Other than this, this is a place worth trying if you miss Korean food. While nearby Monami is a place that imitates Korean food, this place is a place where you can try Korean food. For reference, if you go to go, you get a 15% discount.“

“Let's clarify something first: someone published that Roch le Coq had copied Jack le Coq and it's false. After verification, Roch le Coq opened at this location in 2019 while Jack only opened in…2021. Pay attention to your sources on the internet.It's not the nicest place in Montreal but that's part of the restaurant's personality: we do fried chicken, no fuss.For this visit, I took the Rochy at $6.75 (a good indicator of inflation out of control, price increase of +35%?!) which is a small chicken burger, “slider” type. I prefer this one to the Mega Roch.The only downside is that it's small, I had to order a second one to satisfy my appetite. “So I heard about this place called Time Out where it’s the third place in the world where you have essentially upscale food court in a mall.This is the essentially what Time Out is, mixed with numerous other sorts of food offerings but designed and owned by top restaurateurs and/or chefs. We went to CAMPO which was been said to be one the better places to eat Portuguese rotisserie chicken. We figured that since this is the brainchild of the famous Ferreira Restaurant it must be good.The outcome.Yes it was good, not great, not amazing but good. I think Toronto has much but restaurants like this than Montreal but such is life. The food was prepared quickly in the amount of time it took to find a table to be exact. How could this be so fast? They continuously cook chickens to an almost fully cooked state, then briefly place it back on the spit to refresh it - I think, or maybe not and it sits in a warmer. I say the second because our food came more warm than hot and fresh with a crispy skin texture. Which is one main reason why it’s not 5 stars. Moreover, the chicken had very minimal marinade (I imagine it’s Piri Piri) and there was no offer to provide a small container of sauce for dipping which it really needed for the white meat especially since it was quite dry. I also do not like when (typically inexperienced cooks) slice into my meals protein to check for done-ness. Likely another attribute to dry chicken. Ironically the dark meat thigh was done fine but the drumstick was hard and overdone. Aside from this the size of the chicken seems much smaller than most other rotisserie in Montreal or even Toronto for that matterFries are reasonably good considering they said they are not home made, just the portion was quite small as was the delicious salad and its dressing but so small it was almost like a second thought.The other thing is product knowledge. The whole time out is mostly filled with very young and inexperienced staff and it makes you wonder people what the quality will be. In our case the server self admittedly no idea of what the food is, how it’s made, and had no sense of the product or pride in it for that matter. Somewhat of a turn off from a foodie perspective.We heard from many people that the chicken sandwich was amazing but we wanted to evaluate the chicken on its own, and perhaps smothered with other items and the sandwich roll its better I don’t know.All in all reasonably good food but for the price I would not go out of my way again to eat there as they are other better places to eat. But if I were there in the building let’s say, and didn’t want to try all the other great food options, I may try their sandwich as a last ditch to get a hot properly cooked chicken product.All in all I expected much much more from the owners at Ferreira - it’s not up to their standard at all from my experience.“
