“Really nice place with a good solid selection of cigars. Service is friendly and helpful. The only caveat to this great place is that if there are a lot of people there is gets LOUD and the smoke eaters seem to be able to keep up, but not 100% of the time. It's like they need to turn them up to really clean the air, because when they do that it clears up nicely. Once when I was there they had only one person working the humidor, bar, keeping the place cleaned, cashing out customers etc. She was very attentive under the circumstances and actually did a great job. Other than those things it's a very nice place to stop and enjoy a smoke. I'm definitely going back.“

“It was a cold snowy Sunday and we were the only ones in there. Our food was all tasty and cooked perfectly.... including the pasta! I can't count how many times I have been restaurants that can't cook pasta. It was nice and roomy inside. The service was excellent. The entrances are kinda wonky and could use better signage. “If you’re looking for one of the best bars not just in Providence or Rhode Island, but probably in the country, it’s always hard to find consistency, quality, level of service, and ambience/atmosphere when it comes to restaurants, bars, etc. If you’re looking for a bar where all of those aspects meet in one place, definitely go to Marcelino’s—they never lack in any of those regards while taking it to another level. A great place for date night, unwinding after work, socializing with friends, etc. I will continue to go back time and time again and recommend it to others. “Tiny on the inside but packs a mighty oyster punch. No reservations but there’s a standing bar area you can start ordering drinks and oysters from while you wait. Obviously come for the oysters, but stay for the Bulgarian lamb burger!! Also the kimchi brine oyster shooters. Man those things were delicious (and dangerous!!) Also also pickled fried onions. Get those you won’t regret it.“

Like higher quality paper towels in the bathroom, coasters matching the type and color of drink, utilities having a matching aesthetic (from lamps to teapots!) and bartenders personalizing each drink (offering us little changes they think we would like more, without us having to ask just based on how we react to the previous drinks). “Everything about this bar is top-notch. The staff was excellent. I would go back just to say hi to the bouncer. Our waiter was friendly and attentive in just the right amount, almost as if we were his only table, even though he seemed to be taking care of half the establishment.I did not have a bad cocktail and the empanadas and other apps were far better than I expected from a cocktail bar. I had a smokey old fashioned that is easily one of the best I've ever had.You will be paying more compared to other bars in the area but it is fairly priced and worth it. A+ all around.“

“We attended a Maison Ferrand cognac seminar & tasting the other night at Sapphire & it was such a fun & unique experience for us. The staff at Sapphire (Melissa, Marc, & Shiv), as well as the guest bartender (Vannaluck), went above & beyond to make the experience interactive & memorable. We were greeted immediately with a French 75 made with cognac - Did you know that the original French 75 called for cognac, as well as many other classic cocktails? No? Neither did I. The welcome aperitif was a great lil' treat to kick the night off with. We were given a mini charcuterie selection to keep us busy until the main event, which began about 20 minutes after we arrived. Vannaluck talked us through the history & characteristics of cognac. We were given 3 small pours of different cognacs to taste as well as a serendipitous, bonus mini pour at the end. Throughout the night, the kitchen sent out a variety of tapas that UTILIZED COGNAC. Cognac glaze, reduction, brine, etc. Fascinating! I went in knowing next to nothing about cognac & left with a decent understanding of the spirit. I've always wanted to do something like this, & Sapphire made it extremely accessible. It was also amazingly affordable. I'm really looking forward to more events like this one. Sign me up, please.“

Eager to indulge in our meals, we settled into the cozy yet slightly warm dining room.Taking 15 minutes to peruse the menu, I selected the Cinnamon Roll French Toast Sticks. Despite their appealing appearance, I found the texture and flavor disappointing, sensing the batter was undercooked. Conversely, my friend enjoyed them, praising their hearty feel & excellent cinnamon crunch exterior, rating them 4 out of 10.The absolute highlight of my meal was "The Bear" breakfast sandwich, priced at $23. It featured Beer Braised Short Rib Shredded Beef, Giardiniera Aioli, Cabot Creamery Sharp Cheddar, Roasted Garlic, Arugula, Fried Shallots, and a Sunny Side Egg on a Griddled Sesame Seed Bun. “Absolutely love this Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere is very welcoming, celebrating the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead through aesthetics. The servers are incredible nice and attentive. We have been a few times now the last couple months this is our new favorite spot.
