“Olivia McManus and the entire team at Downtown Catering Company in Bluffton are absolutely incredible. My husband and I live New York and had our dream wedding in Savannah because of Olivia and Downtown catering. I had very specific and custom requirements and Olivia went above and beyond to meet them. Everything from champagne service when guests got to the venue, unique appetizers at cocktail hour (we fused Maryland and Georgia roots - and had fried green tomatoes, crab cakes, shrimp and grits, etc), to a dual entree to pies to late night food (mini boxes of Chinese take out!! The lo mein and spring rolls were excellent, even the guests Fanzo flew from China were impressed) they did the impossible and fused classic, delicious low county southern food and added an Asian twist to the end of the night. My 160 guests from all over the country and world could not stop raving about how delicious the food was. The food and service has been the top piece of feedback I have gotten from our wedding. Also, anybody with allergies was completely taken care of. Their food modified and equally enjoyable. To keep 160 meals - filet mignon, scallops, etc cooked to perfection, warm was to me an incredible feat but something that Downtown Catering does every single time for every single event. Olivia had countless calls with me to work our details and was always kind, understanding and patient. She also anticipated any needs and through my disparate thoughts and asks, came up with something better than I could have even imagined. We had specialty his and her drinks, which were so delicious and on point, something we added at the last minute and the bar service, food staff, everything the day of was beyond what I could have asked for. Olivia and team truly made my wedding one of a kind, made me feel so taken care of and understood along the way which resulted in a deliciously magnificent day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Look no further if you are looking for any event with catering services, it does not get any better than this.Vegetarian options: Olivia and team provided many vegetarian options for our guests who were vegetarian - I am 1000% if I wanted an entire menu of vegetarian options for my wedding, it would be beautifully doneDietary restrictions: Any dietary restriction, shellfish allergy, tree nut, gluten free, dairy free, vegan, banana allergy, kosher, star fruit allergy, just to list a few were all taken care of without sacrificing quality of anything - amazing accommodations and options for any kind of dietary restriction.“
“I've eaten here many times and it's always great. Last night I ordered the ribeye. I like my steak rare and it was RARE. I couldn't finish it due to the size not the temperature. I just ate the leftovers for lunch and I swear... It was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. He must be buying high quality meats. The steak was better than anything I can buy at the butcher but I didn't have to cook it and it came with bread, salad and fries for $30. Get outta here. The drinks were great and the bartender was very nice. And nice looking. The owner came over and asked me if everything was good. On a Sunday night he was working quality control.... I highly recommend.“
“My two guests normally don't enjoy pizza like I do and they left stuffed, smiling, said it's the best they've had in a while. I was so impressed. I ordered the $10 round of beers for the cooks, something I rarely do. The place was jumping and yet the food came out quickly, service was on point. Highly recommend.“
“Have not had a bad pizza at any location. A little disappointed this wasn’t doesn’t have a better local pizza selection. 12/27 7p- We got the Merry Prankster and a Greek salad both delicious. I will say $12.75 plus $2.50 up charge for Bullet bourbon in a bourbon mule (not requested) - and in literally the smallest copper mug ever was a joke. Server was great. Food was slow and it was freezing old. Very small bar and seating area. But the pizza was delicious.“
“I popped in to get a treat for myself. I was eyeing the cookies and brownies, but after tasting a sample of their cakes I was sold. I'm so excited to dig into my slice of chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and whipped cream frosting! This is the only appropriate time to use the word moist, and it's just the right amount of sweet. I'll be back!“
“This is by far my favorite restaurant in Hilton Head / Bluffton!!! The wait staff is top notch, the food is amazing and the drinks are delicious. Desserts are homemade and you must save room for the chess pie. You will not be disappointed!!“
“This is my go to pizza, I love how when I pick it up for delivery they show me the bottom...It means they really care... I did not notice the time when I called to place an order last week at 8:56 pm, and they were still happy to serve even though they closed at 9. BTW if your hungry for a meatball parm...there's is the best...I do recommend eating it there though.“
“I'm from Brooklyn N.Y. and...N.Y. City Pizza is the closest to the Pizza I grew up on I've found up to now. We moved to S.Carolina 2 monts ago and tried NY City Pizza and now we've found our "Pizzeria"The staff is wonderful..the pie is made with all real ingredients!“
“I've been dreaming of their scallops for 3.5 years now since the last time we came. Food is always impeccable, and the jazz is wonderful. This is one of our few restaurants that you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Always excellent. Service is wonderful as well.“
“Food was ? and they were SO hospitable! First thing they said to us was Happy Anniversary when we arrived. We arrived 15 mins early for our reservation and they still seated us immediately. Served us complimentary Prosecco and their “in house made” limoncello. We love ordering our favorite Italian desserts at the end so I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have a classic cannoli, but their other options were still delicious. We will definitely be back again.“
“I would give this place 6 stars if I could! We came for Saturday brunch, and got the GT breakfast, breakfast burrito, and French toast. All of it was amazing, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming-it feels like eating at family's house. This is our new favorite breakfast place on Hilton Head, and we'll definitely be back soon!“
“This place is a true gem. The service is always super friendly and the food is sooo good. I would place the Road Runner Panini as one of, if not the absolute best sandwich in the area! (The house made ranch is absolutely essential for dipping, btw!). My wife is gluten free and they have a nice selection of GF crepes, as well as some GF baked goods. The GF almond cookies are amazing! Definitely worth checking out for breakfast or lunch when you're in the area.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free“
“I really like this bakery! Stopped in yesterday for some treats for dessert and got myself a croissant for the road. The croissant was so flaky, tasty, buttery, soft that I could've cried it was so good. My family enjoyed their desserts, they looked very tasty. The service was friendly. The interior is cozy. Having all those display cases while waiting in line is so tempting. It's a great stop for a baked treat!“
“Was so worried this was going to be tourist trap next to our condo. Was so happy to find out its not. Food was great and the price was as well. Had lamb gyro and fries and it was delicious. Service was friendly and prompt as well. Would come here for lunch frequently.“
“So happy we found this cute cafe! My daughter, who is celiac, and I stopped here at the end of our visit to Hilton Head, as we were leaving to drive back home. So many options and all gluten-free, which is such a delight!! Everything looked good, it was hard to choose! The staff were all super-friendly and patient as we mulled our choices since there were so many. My daughter had the GF breakfast bagel sandwich. They offered me a regular one that they could prepare in a separate kitchen but I declined and got the GF frittata instead. All delicious! We took home a variety of baked goods as well. My daughter especially liked the carrot cake-red velvet cupcake and the coffee cake. But they were all so good! Can’t wait to come back here next time we are in Hilton Head!“
“Pretty good spot! The iced chai tea latte was so so good. Perfect amount of spice and it was just so so yummy. The menu is pretty extensive, with lots of vegan and gluten free variations. The service was good, they just seem short staffed. I got a belgian waffle which was pretty good, but $10.50 for just one waffle seemed pricey. It was super yummy though! Definitely would love to go back to try some coffee and pastries!“
“My wife and I had my birthday lunch here (7th March '24) the food was excellent, very tasty and well presented in a beautiful setting.I can highly recommend this place....we will be back.Michael Dunn CG ...former chef to HM Queen Elizabeth II (16yrs)“
“I lived in Thailand 2 years (2015-2017) and have been to Thailand many times before that. I have traveled to many places within the country and have eaten at countless Thai restaurants in America. I will say this one is my favorite so far. All the dishes I tried are so fresh, just like in Thailand. And the atmosphere and the people there are very friendly. Maybe I will come back and take my kids. Thank you very much. Very delicious ? Thank you Ann and P'Ruan.pleased to meet you“
“We had a party of 9 and really enjoyed our dinners. Spicy fried chicken, fried shrimp and chicken and dumplings were all really tasty. The sides were very good as well. BYO wine. Nothing fancy atmosphere wise but just good southern food. Thanks for a great night!“
“The service was amazing and the food was even better. The portion sizes are more than enough. We had to get carry our containers. The hubby had the veal and I had the shrimp and pesto pasta. We will definitely eat here again. We were in town for a quick weekend getaway.“
“Fun menu! Delicious sandwiches, made with care. No gluten free options (other than salad) just FYIDietary restrictions: No gluten free options for sandwichesKid-friendliness: Kid friendly options and vibeWheelchair accessibility: Accessible with a helper“
“The food was delicious. Started with the mushroom soup, which was very tasty. The entry was fish and also included vegetables. The flavors of all the ingredients worked well together. Two thumbs-up to the chef. The wait staff was very attentive and professional. Worth tracking down this wonderful restaurant. I will be back.“
“One of our favorite places we dined for dinner while on our first trip to HHI. We both started with the delicious beet salad and I got crab cakes for entry and husband the roasted chicken. We enjoyed both. Would go again and would definitely recommend.“
“A regular location for us. Sydney was knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. Also met Colin. Cared about our experience and we enjoyed meeting him. As always, food was excellent. We thought the salmon could have used a little bit of garnishing to improve the presentation. The potato leek soup was a nice starter. The bourbon bread pudding was outstanding.“
“I tried the baked grouper entree and enjoyed it. Dining companions really enjoyed the lasagna and eggplant parmesan. Wine spirits and beer. Service was friendly and attentive. Behind the restaurant at night is lit up and you can see numerous raccoons hanging “
“Great price! Very reasonable compared to some restaurants closer to Coligny Beach. Super nice restaurant, clean, friendly staff. Service was great, food was even better! Wish we had found this restaurant sooner in our trip instead of over spending at other restaurants!“
“Skillets is definitely one of my favorite island restaurants. I've been there twice now and enjoyed both visits.Aime, the owner is outstanding, as is her son and the rest of the staff.MARCH 30, 2024As usual, Skillets doesn't disappoint. Definitely one of my favorite spots.“
“While vacationing at Hilton Head we stopped in for breakfast. It was amazing! The servers were all very friendly. My daughter had the Nutella crepes and I had the Big stacks breakfast and a mimosa. It was delicious! I highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.“
“This place was really good, I'm very glad we went. The outside bar looked like it was a good time, but we were just there for eating. I had scallops and shrimp in some kind of wonderful creamy gravy sauce. My buddy got a lobster sandwich, the lobster was really good too.“
“We visited for happy hour. Service was ok. The server seemed a bit overwhelmed. We had the garlic cheese bread, bruschetta, and pretzel bites. The food was pretty decent. Pretzel bites could have been cooked a bit longer as they were a little doughy. I would come back again and try other menu items.“
“I grew up in Minnesota, moved to Kentucky for 23 years and found out what a joy biscuits and sausage gravy are for breakfast. I have been in Pennsylvania for 20 years and really missed a good southern breakfast. Went here for the first time even though I have coming down to HHI for 40 years. I cannot express enough the joy of our breakfast at Squat & Gobble. EVERYTHING was delicious. These guys know how to cook. Best country fried steak, sausage gravy, and the lightest fluffiest biscuit I have ever had. Service was phenomenal! Quick and everyone so nice. Anybody in the area has to take this in. You guys are the greatest.“
