“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Okàn restaurant in Bluffton, SC and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. I ordered the pork shank with corn bread and sweet potato mash, and every bite was a burst of flavor. My family tried the curry oxtails and they were equally impressed. Everything from the food to the service was top-notch. I highly recommend Okàn restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.”

“Top notch as always. This is one of the best dining experiences in the entire Hilton Head/Bluffton area. The menu is relatively limited in terms of number of selections, but the nightly specials are usually pretty compelling and in fact all four of our party got specials on the evening (the women got the fish, the men got the veal tomahawks.) Everything was terrific, and the service was on point as well. It's a little too spendy to be an every-week restaurant (for most of us at least), but it's always a treat and we will be back again in the not-too-distant future.”

“Met friends for brunch on the way off the island. It was all very good. Rather than go with a main and two sides, we each created our own brunch plate by combining sides. Everything was artfully conceived and created, with the flavors melding nicely. The space is rather small, so the four of us ended up at a communal table with another group of four, but with an open seat between us on both sides. That could have been a little tight with 10 at the table, but it worked out just fine. Pleasant space, though, for being small.”

“Extremely efficient- party of three received all our orders in the span of <10 minutes and staff were polite (as expected). Busy cafe-istique environment and lots of movement in and out of cafe. You could head upstairs and enjoy a much more calmer, less chaotic and more chill room, I honestly liked both.First time here, first time getting a vanilla latte, they did not disappoint.”

“The food was WONDERFUL. The waiter was great. Those are the most important items to us!!!!The hostess was not very welcoming or engaging. The original table she took us to was not acceptable but she said nothing else available. I got back up and looked around and found an unoccupied table that would seat 4 and when I requested to be switched I really had to be pushy but she finally reluctantly did switch us. It still wasn't a great table but very much better than the 1st location. Other than that I would certainly go back, the food, drinks, and service outstanding.”

“I don't typically take the time to write reviews but if anyone deserves a raving review it's The Sugaree. I moved to Bluffton about two years ago and was in search of a coffee & pastry location to frequent and stumbled upon The Sugaree. The coffee is phenomenal, the food is always delicious, and Jo and Todd are always attentive, kind, and simply good at what they do.I look for places that feel like home and I've found that in The Sugaree. Would recommend to anyone and everyone looking for something amazing in little ol' Bluffton.Note to the tourists who should definitely stop in here, be patient and be kind it's a big operation ran by two great people who deserve that grace.”

I always get the add on on the side. that way my taquitos stay hot longer. we took a friend she ordered beef tacos. she felt they were a littletacos. she added some salt.I personally have never had the taco's.they have a nice salsa bar to go with the chips you receive with your order.”

“The River House is a luxurious and beautiful venue with Lowcountry charm - wonderful ambiance! We enjoyed four fabulous courses, beginning with the Hamachi, and the Yellowfin Tuna Duo, on to the Lobster Bisque and Wedge Salad, and on to the Rainbow Trout and the A5 Wagyu. We finished up with the C4 (essentially, Death by Chocolate). It was all excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Wagyu, which, while only 2 ounces, was a taste sensation with its Yakiniku sauce. We completed the evening with a nightcap in the Hush Speakeasy in the basement. We had a wonderful evening and will soon return!”

“Prime Ribeye steak lived up to the hype! The Manager Doug made a wine pairing suggestion of the Syriah and explained why it worked well and what to look for. That really elevated the experience. Our server was professional, food was delicious, and the ambiance was relaxed and easy. The dark ceilings make for a cozy feeling and acoustically the restaurant was very quiet from sound absorbing materials. Sometimes I have a hard time conversating if the cafe is too loud. My wife and I shared easy conversation and it was a wonderful overall Valentine’s Day dinner. Highly recommend.”

“My family of 10 recently went to the “The Turn Grill and Sports Bar” where we had a FANTASTIC experience! Everyone raved about the delicious meals we were served and the great service we received. After eating, the 2 golfers in our gang had a blast using the golf simulator while the rest of us observed while sipping on our tasty cocktails. What a unique way to enjoy good food and quality family time in one spot! We’re looking forward to returning in the near future, and highly recommend it to others.”

“Tucked into one of the many business centers in Bluffton, this little gem is serving some seriously good food. At capacity this place won't feel crowded with options to sit at a table, the bar, or outside. Lots of tvs above the bar to watch the game while putting away some really good southern classics. We started with the fried pickles & ranch, then went all-in on the cheesesteak & spicy chicken sandwiches with fries. All incredible, all huge portions. Took home an assortment of oreo, key lime, cherry & white chocolate mini cheesecakes... which were also incredible.Well be back to try more from this menu. Food was delicious, prices were very reasonable, service was great!”

“We went to a family lunch to celebrate the birthday of my sister-in-law. Since we are originally from Buffalo, you can imagine how much we enjoy R Bar. There are all the foods we are accustomed to from our hometown. There was a very pleasant and courteous waiter at our table. In spite of the fact that he entered all of our orders correctly, there was a little mishap in the kitchen between mine and my sister-in-law's sandwich. We swapped what we could between her order and mine so they would not have to remake my sandwich and she would simply need a new one. Upon explaining what we had done, a lady in a Pittsburgh Penguins shirt emerged from the back abruptly asking in a rude tone, "tell me what is wrong with this sandwich". She replied, "Well it's already half eaten," while she touched with her bare naked hands, expecting my pregnant sister-in-law to take it back. Please note that it was not half eaten, I still had the other part on my plate, and she indicated that she required it back in order to prepare a completely new sandwich. In an effort to appease such a miserable soul, I politely returned the half of chicken finger to her. As a result of our further discussion, she took her poor attitude back to the kitchen and remade the sandwich. As a result of this lady's poor attitude regarding an issue her kitchen staff had created, we were all very uncomfortable. It would be prudent for her to consider other careers if a messed up sandwich has the potential to make her that angry.”

We ordered today a #12 & #7. There was only one Lady here but the staff are always extremely professional hard working and friendly. Like I said before no matter where you go Jimmy John's will never disappoint you !!!”

“We went on vacation to the beach. Happened to stop at a Walmart that had a burger place called Wayback Burgers. Now I'm a burger man I love burgers and Philly cheesesteaks. The double bacon burger and Philly cheese steak we're awesome. I also purchase a chicken BLT sandwich for my son plane of course and he said it was the best sandwich he's ever had. The owner was awesome he actually gave me two free drinks because I forgot to order drinks. If you are ever in this city try the Wayback Burger place in Walmart. The food was awesome.”

“This Subway location was very clean with 10+ tables inside and outside. for people to sit and eat. The soda fountains have a lot of choices. There are two large private bathrooms in the back. They play the radio for music and the 2 workers there were very courteous. I got the veggie patty which was pretty good with some honey mustard and toppings. There was wifi available (just ask for pw) and I got to refill my drink (in my own cup) so yay for that. I could see myself doing work here. I also like that the Bluffton Breeze bus drives by here during the week which is helpful.”

Fish sandwich if not full vegan.”

A wonderful young lady by the name of Madison talked to me over the speaker and she has wonderful customer service skills. The drive thru time was very fast, as it only took me 1 minute to receive my order from the restaurant. I give Dunkin’ Donuts at Burnt Church Road 6/5 stars. I WILL be returning again.”

“A great place to have lunch when you are on Daufuskie Island. A little hard to find if you are new to the area but ask the locals they are friendly and helpful. Lots of carr parking and some picnic tables or take out and eat at home. We had Chicken and fries and shrimp and fries. Both were delicious. The chicken was crispy with a spicy blend. Shrimp was also crispy coated and well cooked and had a great flavour. Fries were fresh made. Bottled water was ice cold. Super friendly and happy to see you. Lots of cart parking.”

He ordered the pork chop with rice, salad, beans and served over plantains. We also had guacamole. All was wonderful...and affordable. Will go back for sure!”

Empty plates were not cleared for about 15 minutes despite 2 trips to our table by the server during that time. We were nit asked if we would like drink refills-which we would have. The restaurant makes a good attempt at noise mitigation. There are a couple of areas where a private party could dine if necessary. It is a large restaurant. We will return and we recommend AKOMEYA to anyone seeking good ?”

“Very cool little permanent food truck next to a great hispanic market. I had three different tacos, my wife had a quesadilla, all were great. Lots of different hot sauces to choose from, and be careful, some are HOT! Just realize, they only give you the tortillas and meat at the indow on the left, you have to go to the window on the right to put all your toppings and sauces on. The market itself has a ton of stuff you won't find in a regular grocery store.”

“This is a fast casual restaurant that offers Mediterranean style dishes. We needed something quick while on vacation, but didn't want your well known fast food that we have back home. We found Zoe's and decided to try as we were drawn in by the healthy options like salad, pitas, hummus. When you walk in, you order at the counter and then take a seat with your number. Your food is delivered for you and they clean up the plates. There were plenty of staff working and they were very friendly and answered all our questions. I asked for extra tzatziki on my pita and they added it no charge. The dining area was clean and the bathrooms were just OK as far as cleanliness. My husband ordered the chicken salad sandwich with pasta salad and really liked both options. I had a chicken pita with extra tzatziki. The pita was super fresh and soft, the chicken was tasty and there was tons of tzatziki on it, just like I like it. There was also tomato & lettuce on the sandwich. i think there was onion (if so, it wasn't a ton). If I lived in the area I would likely come back as the service was nice, the food was really good, and the price was reasonable.”

“I have been around the food service industry for many years and I can say that this place is top Notch! The pizza was delicious, the staff was very friendly & place was very clean. I never place reviews, however, it seems someone made a bad review 3 months ago stating that his topping slid off the pizza. This place does not deliver. So they must have not transported their pizza correctly. Probably had the box tilted during transport. Anyone who has ordered a pizza should know that melted cheese on a fresh pizza right out of the oven can slide right off if mishandled. I reported that post to Google and this post should be removed. That post hurts this fine place’s review rating since they do not have many reviews. This reviewer should be ashamed of himself. Buck is the name and he should remove his review and just take his bitter attitude somewhere else. I highly recommend this place and I almost did not go there because of the low review rating because of Mr Bucks bitter rating.”

The atmosphere is welcoming in an old school southern way, the menu has something for everyone, the serving size is more than adequate, and you'll leave here content. While the Rueben or the pastrami sandwiches don't measure up to what you might be used to if you're from up north, you will still enjoy them. After all, this is the south and we aren't known for classic pastrami. I haven't found one yet in the years we've lived here. I've ordered a chopped salad a couple times and it's so big it is a challenge to finish! Quite tasty too. Soups, sandwiches, sweet (or unsweetened) tea... you can have the whole experience here. Servers are proficient and friendly. I might just stop in today for lunch!”

“I wish I found this place sooner! Theres such lack of quality ethnic food in the area and this place has to be the best. I got take out lunch today and the flavor is amazing on this char sui noodle soup. Also, do not skip the house made kim chi. Spicy and delicious. The place was also super clean and bright. I'm definitely making this a regular stop.”
