Do yourself a favor and eat here! I happened to locate Bearcat on a whim and my wife and I decided to eat here for our 1 year anniversary. From the food to the cocktails, there was not one item that we disliked. We started with the Grilled Oysters, Smoked Maitake Mushrooms & Duck Liver Toast. We finally made it to Bearcat this week and we were not disappointed! The indoor decor is modern but woodsy to warm it up. We were initially sat at a table by the window, but the sun was in my husband's eyes and they offered to move us, which was really considerate. Our server, Sasha, grew on me. Probably the best dining experience I've ever had in the Charleston area. Everything about the place, ambiance, staff, decor and most importantly food...was world-class. This is the Vern's, chasing sage, or chubby fish of West Ashley. It's really that good and in some instances maybe even better.
