If you are of color, this is not the place to go.
My family and I heard good things about things about this place, the food anyway. So we figured we would try it out.

Little Jack's Tavern is a popular spot in North Charleston that offers flavorful dishes and a cozy atmosphere. This New York-styled restaurant has a warm and welcoming vibe that makes dining enjoyable. The Tavern burger is a favorite, being both filling and delicious. The surf and turf option, with a small shrimp burger and a tavern burger, is popular among guests. The tavern sauce is particularly noteworthy and pairs well with garlic and herb fries, which are highly praised. The menu also features tasty options like crab cakes and a petite tavern salad. The ambiance is charming, especially when dining inside, with booths and chairs providing a comfortable experience. Many visitors mention the friendly and attentive staff, with one guest noting that a friendly blonde waitress from Georgia was very nice and made sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere is unique and creative, with some guests enjoying live piano music on Tuesdays. The food, especially the garlic and herb fries, shrimp burger, and Brussels sprouts, is consistently appreciated. While service can sometimes be slow, the quality of the food and the welcoming environment make Little Jack's Tavern a recommended dining destination in Charleston.
