My husband cannot pass up a chance to visit a cookie vendor. The ginger snaps were his favorite, but he appeared to become a benne wafer fan by the time he finished the bag. The sister that was working the day we were there was very congenial and took a lot of time with us. She was generous with the samples and talked about how the cookies are made. They use real butter...need I say more? Well, I will. They are beyond any doubt the best Benne wafers in the city! The lemon and pecan are great as well! Worth a trip to the market for these alone.

Oh. My. Goodness. These old-fashioned tea cookies are absolutely FABULOUS! I purchased them in several flavors from the booth at Charleston Market and then ordered a bunch more online. The Southern Sisters booth at the Charleston Market is one of my go-tos whenever I'm in Charleston. Such quality!
