Workman's Cafe is a hidden gem! They serve none pretentious good soul food. Today they had fried chicken, baked chicken, pork chops and assorted sides. I had the fried chicken and my wife had the bake chicken and we both loved it. Kudos to the cook!
I recently dined at Workmen's Cafe on James Island, and it was an exceptional experience. The fried chicken plate with mashed potatoes and gravy surpassed my expectations; it's undoubtedly some of the best fried chicken I've ever had in Charleston.
