Last night my Mother, Daughter, & I went to dine in at Poogan's and let me state how this place Exceeded our Expectations from the cleanliness, décor, & quiet atmosphere !! We were welcomed & greeted by Tara whom made the BEST drinks & was very kind. Once seated, our waiter; Jalen assisted us and provided us with many suggestions all while waiting patiently as we decided. Jalen knowledge of the menu and level of service was Exceptional. We needed Southern cooking for our first meal in Columbia, South Carolina. We opted for a familiar name that was close to our Airbnb. We love Poogan’s Porch in Charleston, so thought that this was a reliable bet. It was, for the most part. We started with a bloody Mary that we turned into a Michelada. Was taken to Poogan’s for my birthday dinner. Food and service were awesome ! Pimento cheese fritters, catfish nibbles, chicken pot pie, everything we had was so good and cooked correctly. I will keep going back!
