“Ordered a taco salad. It wasn't bad, just not great. I ordered it with shrimp and the shrimp was delicious. The rest of the salad was a little boring. Service was pleasant and they kept our drinks full. Atmosphere is cute though from the outside it looks a tiny bit sketchy. Don't be put off by the outside not being perfect. I would definitely give it a second try when I am in town.“

“Hailing from Los Angeles I have had excellent Mexican food, and San Jose’s is on par with the best I’ve had. This is elevated and sophisticated Mexican cuisine. The veggie quesadilla was smoky and had a complex flavor profile; the veggie enchiladas with spinach sauce were top notch. Try the skinny spicy pineapple margarita. The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this spot if you’re in Florence, SC“
“Last weekend was my first time eating at Konichiwa. Overall, I was pleased. The food was excellent. I had the shrimp and chicken bowl, and a side order of the crab rangoons. The portions are very generous, and again- delicious. The only things I noted that could improve were the service and the environment. They were busy, so that could definitely play a part as far as timely service, but the room was so hot and stuffy. Other than that, I enjoyed my visit and will be back. I would definitely recommend eating here!“
