“Pho Bowl is a great restaurant to go for lunch, linner and or dinner. Their food is amazing especially my favorite Pho Tai with extra meat. Customer service is great. The women that work there try their best to appease everyone's needs and wants even when the get heckled by rude patrons. The atmosphere is very nice. Good music playing and the fishies are fun to watch. Come on down and give Ms. T your support and have great food served by her amazing staff. I like them all but my favorite is Joy. “I ordered from here 2 days in a row because I was dreaming of the chicken mole tamale after trying it the first night. The sauce was so rich, so deeply flavorful, I had to order more the next day. This is my new food obsession.

The tacos were good, with carne asada, pastor and cabeza being the standouts. The lengua was a bit tough and gamey.

The elote was delectable, and I was thrilled that the serving was 2 cobs, so I could share. The rice was a little dry and mealy both days, but the beans were yummy.

The nachos are highly recommended for a reason, and a perfect appetizer! The stuffed poblano is tender and smothered in cheese sauce.

The Jamaica agua fresca is new to me. Sweet but mild in flavor I couldn't identify. Maybe hibiscus?

I want more of this mole, so we will definitely be ordering again!”

“It really bothers me that I have to do this. I have been going to Alex restaurant for many years. I grew up eating at this restaurant. Today my mother who is hospitalized asked me to go to Alex and get her some lunch. I was so excited because for a long time she had no appetite. (she's battling Cancer) I went and got her some hamburger steak, brown gravy and rice and cabbage. As my mother was eating we noticed that the hamburger steak was not cooked throughly. Since I was at the hospital and was visiting for awhile I decided to take a picture and throw it away. I called the restaurant as I left the hospital and explained what happened. The first young lady was polite and told me I had to speak to her manager. Her manager Ms Ruby came to the phone and was sarcastic to say the least. She over talked me as I was trying to explain to her that I threw it away but I took a picture. Needless to say I was told that because I didn't have the food to bring back they would not remake the food. Out of all the years I have been going here I have never experienced this. As much as I hate it (which they don't care, that was evident from the phone call) they have lost a loyal customer me and my family frequently eat at this establishment almost everyday. I don't have time to try and scam a restaurant out of a hamburger steak meal.”

Also, very reasonable prices for large food quantities. “There are at least 3 Chinese restaurants with the title of NO. 1 kitchen in Charleston! ??‍♀️ but which one is truly no.1, the world may never know!! On that note, the NO.1 kitchen in Goose CREEK is great because you can actually sit down inside the restaurant. The No.1 kitchen on Rivers Avenue is good, but there's only one table, and the other side of the restaurant is used for storage. The people are kind and pleasant to speak with. As far as the actual food, to each it's own, we all like what we like! I have not had a bad experience at either establishment. Ps. If you want Chinese food on Tuesday... go somewhere else. They are closed on Tuesdays! Happy eating, everyone!!

“Oh wowwww soooooo good. Every dish was perfect; let me tell you. Gen Tso w pork fried rice, the right amount of heat and tender. Lumpia! It's wonderful. Fried dumplings with housin blend sauce so heavenly. Then I also ordered the sugar donuts. Asia Express is brilliant in their packaging (arrived hot) and delivery was very fast.

We didn't even get to the egg roll! Generous with the fortune cookies.
