“5 Stars for food and service. I've passed by this place every week for the last few years and finally decided to check it out. I was there a few minutes before lunch so it was pretty quite. I got the BBQ sandwich, chips, and sweet tea. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from the BBQ when I got there but I was definitely impressed when I tasted it. It was delicious and smoky. The bag of chips was, well, a bag of chips. The sweet tea was delicious too. The lady who brought out my sandwich was nice. We talked for a couple minutes and it turns out that they will make trays for large parties to take out. Perfect if you are taking lunch over to AO Smith, Tally Metals / Carpenter, or the hospital. It would probably stay warm even if you're heading up to Cheraw or Bennettsville. The place isn't anything fancy and has just a handful of tables but it's a great little country BBQ and grill. I highly recommend for lunch.“
“Nice restaurant with pleasant atmosphere and service. Prices were reasonable for a buffet, tea included in price. Southern style food was excellent. Couple of meat selections, plenty of vegetables, coleslaw and carrot salad were excellent, with good selection of desserts.“
“This is one of my favorite restaurants & I am a frequent "flyer" to say the least. The menu is always changing, so be very certain to check the Facebook page for updates. The service is always top notch & the decor is always great. I highly recommend anything with the risotto! Trust me!!“
“I'm giving five stars because it's a nostalgic piece of history and the last of its kind. After driving two hours to dine here we arrived about 30 minutes before they closed so I attribute this to why our food wasn't the freshest . Love the quirkiness of this place . It's Yogi Bear everything from the name of the combos - I ordered the "Boo Boo basket" to the yogi Bear boxes your order comes in . I love a good themed restaurant . We met a gentleman born and raised in Hartsville who educated us on the history of the restaurant and raved about their food. He was so authentic and genuine in his love for this Yogi Bear restaurant and shared it was his second visit of the day to the restaurant ! I was a bit disappointed that the chicken breading was not already marinated in honey but that you have to pour honey on it yourself . I believe this is different from how it originally was back in the day . Either way , we enjoyed our visit and chat with a local fan . Would recommend and I would go back and try again . “I absolutely love this place. I struggle with going out to eat by myself. I pushed myself to go in and sit down to eat. Glad I did. My waitress found out I was a new customer and was excited and told me that I am family now. I felt completely comfortable. The food was on point concerning I cook at home. It was nice having a REAL hand pressed burger patty with fresh veggies and pimento cheese. The real French fries are great also. I ate it all. Thank you Ruth's! Glad to know I have family there next time I come to South Carolina! Service was so amazing I left her a 22.00 dollar tip! So worth it.“
