“We came here for my husband’s birthday dinner. Not only did they seat us way before our reservation, but the lovely host gave us a fabulous table after learning it was my hubby’s bday. The overall atmosphere was very family friendly, but upscale. The views and staff were spectacular, but the FOOD! DELICIOUS! We had the crab dip and chargrilled oysters to start. AMAZING! The fried saltines paired with the crab dip was a delicacy all on its own. For entrees, I had the surf and turf and my hubby had the redfish. I have never had a steak that tender and cooked to perfection. It was butter. The lobster was insanely good. Both my hubby’s and MIL’s fish were fresh and cooked perfectly. My FIL had the fried platter and loved it! His only complaint was the gumbo he had to start was too cold. They surprised my hubby with the most moist and delicious brownie sundae at the end. Overall, we couldn’t stop talking about this place long after our meal was over. We will definitely come again!“

“We came to crazy crab and was lucky enough to have Susan as our waitress. Susan is the greatest waitress I’ve had at any restaurant ever. She makes sure we get our food in a reasonable time and we don’t stay thirsty. I would give susan a 100/10 on service and I think she needs a raise.“

“The food was fantastic. I had the broiled and blackened seafood platter. Very good. The cheese grits were also very good.“

“My wife and I had a lovely time. From the Host Wilmer to our server Leona everyone was very attentive. Both cocktails and food were very delicious. Seafood was fresh as well! The view was spectacular, we dined early to get some sunset colors over the ocean sky. Would highly recommend.“

“We just ate at Fishcamp. The food was great. The Calimari and pickles were great. My mother-in-law got the stuffed flounder with asparagus and she said that the asparagus was great and she doesn't even like asparagus. My daughter got the peel and eat shrimp boil and she said it was great and took a huge to go box with her. Our server was great. We will be back perhaps before we go home.“

“We ordered Oysters on the halve shell, and Alexander's cooked Oysters. The raw Oysters were fresh, delicious, and large. I found the cocktail sauce to be especially tasty. Not the usual cocktail sauce I have ordered at other restaurants. I am not sure what “special” ingredient was that they added to that mixture. The cooked oysters were also delicious. I thought the cheese on the oysters would mask the taste of the oysters, but to the contrary, the cheese seemed to enhance the flavor. I ordered Shrimp and Grits, and my husband ordered the Blackened Snapper. The shrimp and Grits dish was rich, cheesy, and contained a generous amount of shrimp. The Blackened Snapper was beautifully cooked and the bed of rice, collard greens, and raisins was an unusual and sweet accompaniment. Oh yes, we also ordered salads. House salad for me, and the Caesar for my husband. The greens were crispy and cold. Both of us thought the dressings of blue cheese and Caesar, could have been a bit stronger tasting. Alexander's might be our favorite restaurant on Hilton Head Island.“

“We dined at this restaurant last evening arriving around 5:15 and seated right away. Our server, Hart was awesome and our orders were accurate and he went out of his way to accommodate our requests. The atmosphere was nice but started to get really noisy upon our departure. The hush puppies were delicious and our Bloody Mary was exceptional but the rest of our food was mediocre. I will say my scallops were sweet and tender. Everyone else in our party said their dinners were just ok.“

“We have been dining at Captain Woody's on each of oour visits for 25 years or so. and have followed woody thru 3 moves. Last week the meal was alittle off. Our salads came first after a drink was sered, then before we had a good start on them the "CAPTAINS TRIO" was placed in front of us ( way too fast). The Trio was not as hot as it should have been.. It was loaded with scallops and Shrimp (yum !) but very little fish. The vegies were tasty but also not hot and were crispy (THATS GOOD CRISPY). We hope this was a one time experience. We will be back on our next visit hoping thing improve to their former quality.“

“One of our favorite spots on HHI! We love it for the atmosphere and the food. Plan to spend your whole evening there. There will be a wait, so just plan on it! Grab a drink and some popcorn and just enjoy your night! And make sure to leave some room for ice cream afterwards“

“The portions are big, the food always hot, the flavors are always on point. My husband had the shrimp po boy. Lots of tasty shrimp on it. I had the muffalotta(sp) sandwich which was huge. You really can't go wrong stopping by this place. Highly recommend.“

“We stopped in last after the Lantern Parade and figured without a reservation, we wouldn't be able to get a table, but we thought we would try. The Hostess was very nice and was able to fit us in! We had visited before several years ago, but hadn't been back in awhile. The waiter informed that new owners took over in July and he guided us through the menu. We ordered and the food came out very quickly. We were shocked by the portion size as it's easily two meals per entree (who doesn't love leftovers?!). The atmosphere was very elegant and most folks dressed nice, but we didn't feel too out of place in jeans we wore to the parade. We'll definitely be back and we now count this as a true "HHI Hidden Gem"!“

“The food was good. The lady April that was working the bar had a horrible attitude. She was saying g that she did not get paid and she did not like her job. If she doesn’t like it there then she should get another job. She was cussing and throwing things. If I would’ve matched her energy it would’ve been a problem. Since she doesn’t like working there, do her a favor and let her go. I did not know taking food orders and making drinks was so difficult. Don’t keep people around who can potentially harm your business. April I hope you find a job that matches her skill set….whatever that may be because customer service is not it. It wasn’t our fault that the kitchen got our order wrong, she should’ve taken her frustration out on them. If we were the issue she could’ve been an adult and talked directly to us instead of complaining to the other customers. Just in case you don’t know who I’m talking about it was the older looking lady with the dark hair in a ponytail that had on the dingy gray hoodie on 13 October 2024. Thank you for your time.“

“We walked into the Harbourside to find there was a 45 minute wait; it is a busy place. We found seats at the downstairs bar and ended up eating lunch there instead of waiting for a table. There is a nice view from the bar and the full menu is available. We enjoyed some tap beer, raw oysters, grilled fish sandwiches and a tuna tower. Our bartender/waiter Marlon was excellent. This place is a bit pricey but the quality of food, great service and views were worth it for us.“

“The food was good, but we had a really weird experience at the beginning. My mother and I walked in and requested a table for two. The hostess says “do you have a reservation, we don’t take walk ins.” We didn’t have a reservation so we left. But I was so hungry after just getting off a plane that I didn’t want to search for a new place. I looked up Jane online and made a res for 1:00 (it was 12:49… and there were tons of available time slots). So we walked back in and told the same hostess we had a reservation. Then while we sat and waited 10 min for a table we listened to her tell other walk ins it was a 10 min wait. The whole thing was so strange. I think my salad was good, but definitely annoyed by the initial service (waitress super sweet though).“
