“Last night for the first time in my adult life, I sat alone at the restaurant bar at The Bistro. It was cold, wet and rainy outside and I almost stayed home. I ordered Brussels sprouts for dinner and unsweetened tea. I shopped online while I listened to the amazing artist singing live music. From Stapleton to Prince. He even threw in a little Justin Beiber Christmas music. After the show the singer sat with his mama and had dinner. Those last 45 minutes of the night are so precious to me. I am so glad I did not stay home. Thank you to Katie at The Bistro in Irmo. She was a lovely hostess! Thanks to Trey Duncan Sings for a wonderful show and the time I got to spend with him after. “Girls night was a blast! We enjoyed amazing cocktails from the pear spritz, strawberry lemon drop martini and their peach Palmer! “Passing through town and had to check this place out especially for the new pinball machine “Jaws”. The BLT I had with their in house made bread was fantastic along with a wonderful beer selection. They also have many craft can beers for purchase, wish I had taken the time to check them out. Looking forward to sporting my t-shirt I purchased.”

“The food and service are relatively good however the drink prices are ridiculous. A tea bag costs 4 cents and they charge $3.50 for a hot tea. A normal price at most places is $2.50 or less. I only get water when I go now.”

The veggies were fresh and although some people do not like the veggies cut so large, I think they are perfect. Egg rolls were scrumptious and large . We had soup which was still piping hot when arriving home, house fried rice was perfection. Plenty of leftovers. Love, love, love .”

“We have been getting takeout from China 1 at least once a month since we moved to Irmo 15 years ago, and have been very impressed by the quality of the food lately. Everyone in my family has been happy with their meals. Keep up the great work!”

“We have used Chen’s Garden exclusively for our take-out Chinese food for years. We have always had excellent, super fast service and the food is consistently cooked well and delicious. LOVE the Wonton soup and we always order the Sesame Chicken, General Tao’s Chicken, Broccoli Chicken, Mushroom Chicken and their egg rolls. Never been disappointed, portions are very generous, and it’s always hot and ready to eat when we get it home. It’s plenty of food for the family and lots of left-overs for the next day. We love them! Tried others and always came back to Chen’s Garden!!”

“I have gone here twice…I have to say. One of the best chicken Cesar wraps I’ve ever had in my life!!! Website and boards did not reflect the actual update price for fries...if I ordered online it was a $1 something but to my surprise when I get a wrap with fries it was $2.25 upgrade. I got the potato soup and as a woman who LOVES salt…it was way too oversalted to my liking. All of this said staff was slow the first time I arrived, second time it was exceptional. Please sell your grilled chicken recipe because it’s the best I’ve ever tasted…literally ever!! Although I’m sharing my feedback I still will rate 5/5 stars because it’s hearty and great food! I look forward to coming back again!”

“Today while traveling home from vacation we stopped in for a quick lunch. Service and food were great as always! However, when we went to leave our car wouldn’t start. The owner, Mr. Arnold, was great, he jumped right in grabbing a team member to help get us jumped off. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get close enough to us. The team member drove my dad to O’Reily, which was about 3 miles away to get a jump box. I was able to take my 3 kids back inside a cool restaurant that had Wi-fi, coloring pages, books and games while we waited! The amount of team members who checked on us and interacted with the kids was amazing! They offered water; nuggets and even ice cream! 10/10 recommend if you are passing through this area!”

“This has been my neighborhood bar for a minute, and I love hanging out here. But tonight they went above and beyond:
Today is my brother's birthday, who passed a couple years ago. I came in to honor a tradition we had, taking a shot of Jameson right at 10pm once a week. It was a goofy tradition we had, that I've tried to honor on his birthday since he passed.
Bit only did they help me honor that, but they poured a shot for my brother, and set him up a place at the bar so I could spend quality time with him.
Hemmys may be a local bar, but it's also filled with some of the classiest people I've ever known. Cheers!”

“Each time I try a new flavor my tastebuds do a different dance. My OG favorites are red velvet and yellow cake with chocolate icing but there are so many more delicious flavors. The biscoff cookie cupcake is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, the pound cake is delicious butter pound, German chocolate and almost any other chocolate is always decadent. And they stay fresh and moist for days.”

“This place is what my wife has affectionately refered to as a "church of bars". Everybody here is friendly. The owners, the barkeepers, and the customers are all great. There is almost never any trouble. Since everybody knows everybody and everyone are friends, if you start trouble, you start trouble with the entire place. They have live music often. My favorite is Shrek's open mic night on fridays where everybody is more than welcome to play and even one of the bartenders gets into it and drums along either on his djembe or an upturned bucket. I have never once had a bad time here. The prices are among the lowest in the area and the people mame it an awesome spot to hang out.”

I’m gluten free (allergy), and the guy taking our order deep cleaned the machine, then took extra measures to make sure nothing was cross contaminated. Not only that this place was extremely clean and smelled like a deli. I definitely would recommend this location!!”

You could tell immediately that a lot of care and skill went into every single item on the menu. Neighbors couldn’t stop raving about how delicious it all was! “We had Francie cater a holiday party for co-workers at my house 2nd time now. Folks requested that I have her cater again, and the food was a big hit again. Many went for thirds! Presentation was great (hence the atmosphere rating - wish I had a picture to share). Also Francie is wonderful to work with. I told her what we envisioned, we chose food and let her know time. They were there setting up at indicated time. We had little to do other than prep the house and put away left overs! I most highly recommend France's Catering. We will engage their services again.”

The hibachi is always scrumptious, the steak is so tender and the shrimp juicy and the chicken not dry. Have enjoyed all the sushi rolls we have tried, and also their pork potstickers are amazing.”
