“This was my first time eating here, I was visiting Chattanooga and stopped here with my daughter on our way back home. I can admit this way the best catfish I have ever had, my daughter said the same thing! It’s to bad we don’t have an Uncle Larry’s in our home town they really should expand.“
“Vegetarian options: My wife of 20 years is a lifelong vegetarian. There is always at least one entree on their seasonally changing menu. Her comments are that it is one of the rare places that the vegetarian dish does not come off like an afterthought. Always great to excellent. Service top notch. One of our favorite places to people watch and eat great food.“
“My husband had a service dog (with best and signage), and we were greeted with sorry, no dogs. We educated the hostess and gave her an opportunity to check with her manager. Aside from that negative encounter, the service was amazing, and the good was simply put as creative, great taste and presentation. The atmosphere was great indoor and out. Must go!“
“Finally had a chance to stop in. My brother is Uncle Larry to my kids so I really wanted to get a picture. I took home the catfish lunch for my husband and he loved it. I was asked if I wanted dessert HOME MADE PECAN CAKE oh my ! Delicious ! It was offered to me while I waited - ha ha like they knew me - and it was hard to save half for my husband.“
“Just ordered from Uncle Larry’s for the first time ever, and they did not disappoint!! Got the fried shrimp and baked beans and they were delicious! I would have uploaded a picture but it was too good I ate it super fast. Highly recommend! :)“
“I have never felt so welcome at a restaurant before until i walked through these doors. The atmosphere, the servers, the chef himself, and even the guests were just all around in an amazing mood. They took care of us for sure. The food was extremely delectable. The chef, Mike Adams came to talk to us and made us feel welcome and our server Sydney did the same with her exceptional service. We aren’t from Chattanooga but a 2 hour drive is worth it if my family and i are going back to dine here. And PLEASE try the blueberry bread pudding. DELICIOUS. If i could give a Michelin Star i most certainly would. Thank y’all so much. I hope this review goes a long way.Kid-friendliness: They made my baby feel welcome by including him in the conversations!“
“This place is absolutely wonderful!! We have been several times and it never disappoints. Their drink menu is just as well thought out and delicious as their food menu.Their wings!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness the WINGS!!!! They are an absolute must. Their grits ,"Skeeter Style" is also ?. It's a beautiful restaurant in a wonderful location. All the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. It's just a wonderful place to go.Parking: The parking lot is a pay lot but you just select the 15 minute option (free) and they will take care of you at the hostess desk. You just tell them what lot you are in.“
“I took my girlfriend here on a date and didn't realize it was jazz night. It was nice to hear live music and didn't really mind. The food was amazing! We ate the salad, salmon, Burger, and carrot cake souffle. Everything was delicious! Our server was very kind and informed the kitchen on the dishes we were splitting and also boxed our leftovers for us. The kitchen may have been very busy because in total we were about a little over an hour and a half. I recommend eating here.“
“Lauren go see at the bar. I've been coming here for the last 2 years. Lauren consistently friendly outstanding customer service and excellent memory. Very enjoyableMarch 27 2024 someone picked up my order. Employee Jia excellent customer service. Courteous top shelf. Thank you Jia and thank the staff for taking care“
“I’ve never had a lobster roll before, but always wanted to try one. I discovered this lovely place, and after the very nice lady at the counter heard it’s my first time, she was kind enough to recommend me the Connecticut Roll. And oh man, it did not disappoint. It was perfectly toasted and buttered, and the lobster was so fresh and delicious. I will definitely be coming back here, and I’d recommend it to anyone!!“
“Quite possibly the BEST catfish I have ever had! Staff was friendly and service was excellent! I wish I had tried the macaroni and cheese but I wanted a slice of the key lime cake which did not disappoint. The hush puppies were also amazing. Nothing was soaked in grease and the breading was perfect on both the fish and the okra! The catfish was moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The only downside to this restaurant is it's about six hours away from my house!“
“This place did not disappoint. We drove about an hour to come here,it's take out so we went to the park and ate.The gentlemen that took our order was very nice and helpful. The food was flavorful and delicious.I will definitely be back.If in the area a must “
“Great food, great service! I had the Sea Bass, a Ceasar Salad, Ahi Tuna, and the Bacon Deviled Eggs. All were delightful! Highly recommend! You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, so the price matches the quality, imo.Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is kinda loud, so I wouldn't worry about bringing your kids. They also have a kids menu.“
“I salute this restaurant on S. Watkins St., in Chattanooga, Tennessee, that has the very best crab boil, lobster, and seasonings of all time!!!! Seriously, didn’t know before…… now you know!Vegetarian options: Vegetable plate also fantastic!Parking: Pull up street-side for take-out orders.“
“My wife and I have wanted to visit here for a while now and I recently learned you can make reservations using their website. I highly recommend doing this since this is a busy area. Service was slow when it came to getting our cocktails but the server told us the bar was overloaded at that moment and was sorry for the inconvenience. We appreciated the honesty. Both my wife and I enjoyed the sushi and are curious to try more of the menu in the future.“
“From Atlanta and recently took a trip to Chattanooga. Stopped by Pier 88 for their happy hour. Pier 88 reminds me of Juicy Crab but better. Those Pier 88 wings extra crispy and extra wet are 10/10. The hush puppies are solid as well. The drinks were our least favorite. You have to order a Blue Long Island to taste liquor in your drink. Ordered a Cosmopolitan and I think the bartender added sprite. Yikes. Our waiter provided good service. Would definitely dine again“
“We've had a very, very good meal and a couple of meals that were okay. This last visit, our meals arrived lukewarm and steak medium rather than medium rare. We advised server who offered a re-do but as it took a bit for her to get back to us and we were already eating what we had, we declined. We were given one dessert on the house.Drinks from bar were average.Nice restaurant, most servers and staff very pleasant and helpful.“
“J. Alex (as we like to nickname it) never disappoints. The service, food and martinis are consistently excellent. Whether it's lunch or dinner or drinks at the bar, the energy here is contagious and I always leave satisfied with the experience.“
“OMG!! This place is a MUST go to eat in Chattanooga TN. “Chattanooga could not be luckier to have this restaurant. Hands down one of the best in the city. The service, drinks, food, all 5 stars. Every time I dine here it’s a near emotional experience. Always left speechless. Thank you for this gift, Calliope!“
