“We used to live in Baton Rouge & have tried & tried to find something similar in Kentucky where we live. Came to the Nashville area for a night & this is definitely the most authentic bayou food we’ve had since we left BR/NOLA. It would be worth the 3 hour motorcycle ride just to eat here again. “I've been coming to this place for awhile and it has been hands down my favorite place! I was eating nothing but the Pad Thai for yearrrrrssss bc it is just so dang good and tastes like home and a hug when you need it.. I couldn't bring myself to order another entree!

I finally branched out this year and have ordered numerous things off the menu and all of them have been absolutely delicious!

Shanelle is a fantastic server and is super sweet every time I go in! I couldn't believe she remembered me after I hadn't been in so long!

“First off, let me start with the service. The staff were welcoming and kind. The inside decor was clean and the vibe was inviting. A true hidden gem, this place had barely anyone inside but anyone who entered couldn’t help but smile and have fun as they were being treated by servers with infectious smiles and positive attitudes. Now onto our next subject. The food… My goodness did the food come out quick and they did not sacrifice quality food for good service either. The Crab Rangoon might have been the best appetizer I have ever eaten. It came out in a mere two minutes after ordering and then the main dish I had was Teriyaki Chicken and fried rice. The fried rice was soft, sweet and hot. Everyone needs to visit Poy Thai, I left with a new type of joy I have never felt before. When Jesus comes back He needs to visit Poy Thai.”

“We had a large group come in for a family reunion the next day and needed somewhere to eat dinner the night before. They seated us outside on their large deck. Brooklyn was the sweetest server I’ve ever seen! She waited on us with patience and professionalism, which must have been a challenge, considering everyone was more interested in socializing and moving around. She got all of our separate checks tallied correctly and handed out little cards with inspirational verses on them. Those were the biggest hit of all! BTW - the food was delicious!😋”

“Easily the best food in goodlettsville! And probably surrounding areas as well. I'm honestly surprised it's not more expensive. The food quality is outstanding along with the portion sizes. I have an internal debate on if I want the pad Thai or fried rice and always end up getting both. I'm sad when I finish because I didn't leave any for lunch the next day. My wife will make me go back if I don't get the mango sticky rice.”

I place a call to Rice box they said my food was already done it wasn't but a few minutes after I placed order.. when the order got picked up they said that it was cooked extra spicy and extra crispy. pitched the food will not be back.”

We are grateful to have community businesses out there to support our schools and athletes. The girls loved the meal!”

First off “the rice is bland”? No it’s not. They make their rice that way on purpose bc they let you make your own sauces inside. You can always ask for extra teriyaki or rice sauce on the rice.
Everyone with 1 star dont understand what they are getting. This place isn’t “a restaurant with true hibachi” they have hibachi on the menu but they are more so a high end fast food restaurant. You wait for your food in 15 mins or less and it’s AFFORDABLE. This is great for people who don’t have $30 to go to hibachi like everyone else that’s seeming to make it out here and can go out to eat every week. They give a good portion. The rice bowls will always be our go to because you’re paying $9 for a bowl of teriyaki chicken and fried rice that’s makes you stuffed. Their spring rolls are to die for and most of all they are fixing EVERYONES food fresh. Stop going in here expecting hibachi restaurant. It’s just high end fast food and thank god we have that because I’m tired of only being able to afford fried food or Taco Bell.
The best part is they let you make your OWN sauces in the little fridge to the left of the cashier. Ultimately I can make my rice taste different everytime but we are regulars so we have a routine”
