“It's a little loud. If I wasn't by myself, I think I'd not have been able to hear my own conversation. The kitchen was backed up, I guess. I liked my Scotch eggs and the sauce. They were yummy! I got Guinness and Harp to drink. That was good. The onion rings were yummy. I wasn't a fan of the bangers and mash. I'm not sure what happened because I had that here a few years ago and I liked it. The bangers tasted okay, but the texture was off - like they'd been overcooked. The mash was just meh. Overall, I'll be back because of dishes I've had in the past and I'll try those again. I remember the Guinness pie being really good.“
“I love this bakery so glad Nashville has this bakery. I accidentally found this bakery I was in Brentwood at shop that sold their beet tart and goat cheese. This tart was awesome if you love beets. I also bought the coffee cake not too sweet great combination with coffee. They told me they get the bakery goods from Dozens bakery. I found them I have since more coffee cake, apricot muffins, blueberry muffins, chocolate chip cookies and beet tart oh and the apple tart. I only wish they had a better set up. Only one person checking out. The line is long but worth the wait. If you want a French bakery this is the place. I’m love this bakery.“
“Sam’s was one the first places I been to after moving from Chicago. Ian was my server and took great care of me it felt like home! He was very funny and very professional and made it comfortable for my fiancé and I. He was on top of everything and took care of what we needed right away! He has been my server the past several times I was there, and always enjoyed his company. The atmosphere was great and lively. I will always be coming back here! :)“
“Went here today for afternoon drinks and food. They were a little understaffed but it wasn't a long wait or chaos. Looks to be a great place to visit during better weather. Food is about the same as the Hendersonville location. Food is about $15 and bar drinks about $10. Our server Rachel was very nice and did a good job! Our little girl liked the view and the boats. We will come back. Picture blurred on purpose lol“
“Uh, these donuts put other places to shame! This was our first time here and we were cheerfully greeted. They had a great donut selection, but one particular donut caught my eye and that was the maple glazed with bacon on top and wow it did not disappoint. Give this place a try and you won’t be disappointed.“
“Friendly diner atmosphere with quick service, even in a packed house. Our food was delicious. They have a nice variety of standard diner fare with a few additional options with some flare. I would definitely say, while everything I've tried there is good, if you are a fan of cinnamon rolls with real cream cheese frosting and/or eggs with perfectly cooked, really tasty veggies then this place is for you!“
“Just go!!! Great casual lunch place. They have everything from sandwiches to meatloaf or salmon. Great southern hometown atmosphere. Everything was delicious. I had the meatloaf and it was not only great tasting but large also. I was stuffed when I left and it was completely worth every penny.“
“Great little coffee or tea shop located in the heart of East Nashville perfect for business meetings, first dates, or just to grab a tasty drink! Definitely a cool atmosphere and affordable prices, highly recommend!Parking: Parking lot is for a shopping center for depending upon time of day the parking could be wide open or a little tricky, gravel parking lot in the rear.“
“We are from out of town and stopped for breakfast at Pancake Oantry in Nashville. The food was fabulous….. it always is…… but having a wonderful waitress like Rachel made the meal so much better! Rachel was the sweetest, kindest, most helpful lady. Great job!!“
“I dont know what to say but wow. This place is so amazing! We were passing through Nashville on our way home from Huntsville to Cincinnati. We ordered the gumbo (I believe the chef said he normally makes it on the first week of the month, guess he decided to get it made for the holidays and new years too), chicken salad sandwich, pimento sandwich (which he had ran out of but literally made a batch while we ate a bit of our food, talk about hospitality!), sausage biscuit, grits, country ham biscuit, chess pie, and coffee because road trips amirite.Anyway, absolutely 0 complaints. Food was all delicious, service was amazing, restaurant is a walk up window with outdoor seating. We parked at the church down the street.TLDR - go here, eat all the food, thank me later.Parking: There didnt seem to be an established parking area but there was a church with parking on the same block, there is an alley right next to the restaurant and maybe street parking (not positive, didnt search for signs) if you want to do pickup/takeoutKid-friendliness: They were so kind to our 3 year old came out and said hi, asked him if he liked his food and all.“
“Parking in Germantown is occassionally questionable, but I got lucky and got a place in front of the store. Phew! The Rose Vanilla Latte was an innivative flavor for me, it’s an acquired taste. The Cinnamon crepe was very tasty, a little bit more saucy than I’m used to. The vibe is contemporary meeting place/“work from home”. The person who helped me was super-nice. Interested in coming back for their savory flavors.“
“I heard they were nominated for a James Beard Award!! So decided to check it out and it was beyond my expectations! Everything thing about this place is just amazing. The food and the lovely staff, plus the location is great. Got the Braised-shot rib and egg sandwich, carrot cake, and a cold latte to accompany the sweet taste of the JD jr. Absolutely loved it!! And would definitely recommend to anyone with appreciation for good taste.“
“As a self-proclaimed confectionery enthusiast, my visit to Five Daughters Bakery in East Nashville was nothing short of a symphony of flavors. Selecting from their array of donuts was a delightful dilemma. The purity of 'The Purist' was impeccably executed. The 'King Kong' proved majestic, with its lush cream filling and bacon crown commanding attention. The Strawberry Cream was a darling, interweaving the innocence of fresh berries with the indulgent sweetness of cream. The Vanilla Cream was equally enchanting, while the cookies were an artful twist on comfort food classics; the Chocolate Chip a gooey, melting nostalgia and the Ginger Molasses a bold, spicy surprise. Yes, they might flaunt a price tag that's above the ordinary, but these are no ordinary donuts. They’re a luxurious treat that beckons the bold and leaves a lasting impression on the palate. Truly, Five Daughters Bakery crafts indulgences that may tempt one to forsake all other pastries.“
“I ordered my birthday cake from here and it was such a hit! I gave the decorators creative freedom basically, describing what I wanted as “classy funky” and I think they did a great job! I got so many compliments on it at the restaurant and everyone raved about the taste! Thank you Baked on 8th for being a part of the entry into my 30s!“
“Incredible dessert spot. All of the cookies on their own are insanely good. They also have a large unique selection of ice cream which I really appreciated. Get a custom made ice cream sandwhich to get the best of both worlds! They let you taste ice creams too! I got the s'mores ice cream with 2 different cookies. I'll definitely be back!“
“Everyone there was nice and kept their eye on our table and offered us things as needed. At one point someone even came back out to let me know that they realize they missed an ingredient and wanted to remake the whole food so that I could have the full experience of that item. Gluten-free bread and biscuits are rarely things that particularly get my pallet. Excited, that has not completely changed here, but still everything that we ate we enjoyed or thought was good/at minimum OK. The smoothies were tasty as well and the variety of options in each category made this an exciting trip. Would eat here again or recommend to others. Great vegan meal outing experience. Also I’m in an electric wheelchair and there was a handicap parking right outside and getting into a spot to eat was easy. Accessibility friendly establishment.Vegetarian options: Everything but most is vegan so it will work for vegetarians tooDietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan dishes but could be enjoyable for everyoneWheelchair accessibility: This establishment was fully accessible and everyone was willing to assist with anything we needed“
“Hawthorne has become one of our consistent special occasion spots. Always tasty with great service. Just went again .... Still awesomeVegetarian options: Always easy to get vegan meals, through simple modifications or they are already vegan on the menu.“
“What a great place to get together with friends for a drink! I had a monkey bread and the eggs Benedict with steak on English muffin, although it wasn't my flavor profile everything was cooked to perfection which tends to be difficult for most places to accomplish that with thin steaks! It's a very lively environment, everyone that works there is absolutely lovely. The gentleman that seated me was very kind and helpful, the waiters and waitresses were all very nice and did a great job keeping up with how busy it is. They accidentally cleaned my place when I went to the bathroom and they comped my meal and gave me a new one even though I insisted I didn't need it! Definitely a great experience even if I didn't get 2 free meals! Thank you for the experience.“
“We ordered catering for 10 people. Everyone loved it. It made the party so much better, especially having no kitchen mess, and it was an automatic hit. There were 10 of us and there was still plenty of leftovers, and I watched people go back for seconds and thirds.“
“Just join the waitlist as early as possible and be ready to spend 1-1.5h wandering in the neighborhood (which is nice!) before you can actually sit down. Have to say I had the best croissant here, so good!!! Biscuit is quite special with multiple layers, and I love the dirty fried rice a lot. Really worth it, just be early or be patient!!“
“Greatest cupcakes around! We got carrot cake, lemon, strawberry, cafe au lait, and of course we had to try the sweet potato cupcake! All were so delicious, moist, fluffy, and FULL of flavor! Cute house with outdoor seating on the porch! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the neighborhood or honestly I think it’s worth a visit even if you aren’t near by! Many flavors for everyone to pick something they want or get a bunch and just be adventurous! You can’t go wrong“
“Really fun and unique vintage atmosphere, kind and understanding staff, great food! All around a lovely place to go for breakfast! Come early though because it fills up fast! Definitely recommend their specialty pancakes and chorizo sausage!“
“Perfect dive bar. Decent prices. Good service. Good pizza. Lots of free parking. Bar itself is kinda midsized. Seats about 10-12 people, bur olenty of tables inside and out. Indoor smoking allowed. Local hangout. Just wish they had pool tables.“
“We rented the Grilled Cheeserie Food Truck to come to a local brewery for a welcome lunch to our wedding guests. It was such a wonderful Nashville Experience and everyone loved the food. It was priced reasonably and Nelson and the crew did a fantastic job. I would recommend the Grilled Cheeserie to everyone wanting a new and different experience!“
“First time buyer, Very different from another bakeries very clean and friendly staff, definitely will go there again I placed and order for my kids but I just have them one to share and I ate the other one OmG we loved it taste super good. 100/100 ? I think I may change my cakes from Baskin to this one “
“Visiting town and forgot that I was going to try to find them since their food is gluten free, then stumbled on them at the farmers market. I had two empanadas, chicken and plantains, with red and green sauces. They were huge and AMAZING. I wish I could eat these everyday! Might go back tomorrow and get some to fly home with. That good“
“Great service and great atmosphere. I’ve only been in twice and had an açaí bowl both times. Neither of them have been amazing but they aren’t bad! I think their açaí consistency is good and the produce is always fresh. Although açaí is naturally very bland, the flavors of the bowl as a whole still lacked compared to bowls elsewhere. Again, they are still good though and are very fresh. Kudos to incredibly the friendly staff as well! Suggestion: Cacao nibs would be a great topping option :)“
“Best N Y style pizza by the slice in Nashville in my humble opinion, prepared fast and nestled in a cozy restaurant. Nice folks working the counter and pizza oven. Slices are always hot and they do a good business. Thank you to the owner and hardworking staff! Unfortunately there is a real deal breaker and that’s 1.75 per hour parking!“
“Was really excited to eat at a sit down Chinese restaurant. It is not very big and they are super busy. The staff is very nice, attentive, quick, and very hard working. There was a short wait for a table. Once seated was waited on immediately! Soup and appetizers served very quickly nice and hot. The staff never stopped moving. I don't think there was more than 7 maybe 8 staff and the take out orders never stopped. Seafood dinner order was plenty for two. Great portions to share. So happy this restaurant popped up in my search. Highly recommend and will be back!“
“Best tacos in East Nashville and some of the very best in Tennessee!I always try to go on a Saturday morning so I can enjoy a breakfast of Chilaquiles (only available on Sat.) with a Fried Avocado Taco on the side. Both dishes are delicious, filling and worth standing in line for!Their Cafe Leche is a treat and warms the cockles of my soul. Speaking of treats, be sure to try their Sweet Plantains not too sweet, just right with a little cinnamon dusting. And if you’re looking for a great side, try their Elote. Amazing. You can’t go wrong at Mas Tacos. Great atmosphere, outdoor seating, friendly staff and wonderful food!“
“I heard about this company from the food network, Trish Yearwood’s cooking show. I decided to finally order some of the chocolates. They did not disappoint. Very very good, best chocolates I’ve had in a long time. The texture, taste, freshness, all on point.“
“One of our favorite date night spots! Special shout out to our waiter, Reed, for going above and beyond. He noticed my drink was wrong based on what it looked like, and immediately fixed it (I hadn’t even noticed!). The best happy hour food and drink specials, quick & friendly service, plus cozy, family friendly ambience.“
“Nick has a special thing going at Mangia!! The food and fun are superb!! It truly is an experience. This is one of our favorite places in Nashville. You have a 10 course meal that lets you take home your leftovers. Enough for 2 more meals!!! Awesome place.“
“Berries n Cream Bakery is so outstanding!! I would give them 10 stars if I could. Chantall made our wedding cake. She is so talented and "can do" anything. She drove from Gallatin to deliver the cake in August at Ravenswood Mansion in Brentwood. We had several dietary restrictions which were not a problem with her. Our wedding cake was GF, no sugar or dairy.....oh my, the taste was so enjoyable. Our guests couldn't believe the flavors that came to life when they took a bite. Please do not hesitate to hire Berries n Cream for your next occasion.....You will be delighted you did!!Thank you Chantall!!“
