Berries n Cream Bakery Bakery • $$$
610 Gallatin Pike S, Madison

“Berries n Cream Bakery is so outstanding!! I would give them 10 stars if I could. Chantall made our wedding cake. She is so talented and "can do" anything. She drove from Gallatin to deliver the cake in August at Ravenswood Mansion in Brentwood. We had several dietary restrictions which were not a problem with her. Our wedding cake was GF, no sugar or dairy.....oh my, the taste was so enjoyable. Our guests couldn't believe the flavors that came to life when they took a bite. Please do not hesitate to hire Berries n Cream for your next occasion.....You will be delighted you did!!Thank you Chantall!!“

Bakery

“This place is great and has been my go-to for the last 5 years or so for a weekly bread and confections runs. Incomparable to the off and stale taste and smell of supermarket bread. If you've ever been to or lived in a part of the world where there's a bakery for every neighborhood, it's like that. Unpretentious, friendly, but real bread from a dedicated bakery.Their cakes are also excellent.“

Panaderia El Trigal Bakery •
328 Gallatin Pike S, Madison

“The name of the shop translates to The New Day. I discovered this little shop on Gallatin Rd by accident just decided to pull in one day to see what it was. It was like stepping back in time when things were not all chrome and sparkle but things were tasty and delicious and people were friendly. This little Mexican bakery has quick become one of my favorite places in town with a wide variey of baked goods at reasonable prices. Cookies, cakes and breads some of which I have no idea what they are but tasty. You wait on yourself by taking a cafeteria tray and a pair of tongs, going from repurposed cabinet to cabinet selecting your treats..One of my favorites is the flaky turnover with queso or guaybano(sp) filling. Everything is not as sweet as you would imagine, with just the right amount of sweetness to soothe a craving. The couple that run this little narrow bakery are extremely polite and helpful and speak fluent English in order to answer all my abundant questions. The building is hard to find mixed in with others and a pawnshop and it is hard to back out onto Gallatin Road without some patience. But it is worth every second just to try this gem of a find in Madison.“

“THE HYPE… IS… REAL… Finally got to go by Five Daughters Bakery for the first time after hearing about it for years. Y’all, you need these donuts in your life. Probably on the daily. I tell you how great it was, I ended up going by twice in the same day.We ended getting the Hoppy Easter (Marshmallow Cream), a Cinnamon Crunch, a Purist (glazed), Tiramisu (holy smoke this was amazing), a Salted Caramel, and a couple of others. Guys, this place is great and you need to go. They even had a little playground for the kiddos.Parking: They appear to only have a couple of parking spots, but there is plenty of street parking and you can always pay for parking around the block.Kid-friendliness: Kids love donuts and they have a playground for them to play in.Wheelchair accessibility: The bakery had ramps for wheelchairs.“

“Enjoyed ourselves very much. The service was good along with the food. I realize we went close to closing (an hour before closing), but there were food crumbs all over the door mat inside the entryway. No one was waiting, and less than 2 tables in restaurant seated, this should have been cleaned up. We were seated by a beverage station that was disastrously unkempt. All in all it was good but not a return place for me.“

“YUMMY YUMMY!!! We left the Hermitage and wanted to go somewhere close to grab a burger, and this was the first option. We got seated immediately, our waitress was so sweet, and the food was.... Oh my gosh... obviously fresh, hot, and *delicious*. I got the Patty melt and fries, my husband got country fried steak with hashbrowns and a cinnamon roll. Portions were perfect and we left there feeling so full and happy that we gave it a try!“

“Until this morning, I only visited the bakery case and have been sharing those crossants with people all over Nashville. They might be the best I’ve ever tasted in the world This morning. I had breakfast and given that I’m a foodie and I make a really incredible breakfast, I would eat here seven days a week; the staff is lovely and the food is sublime - make a reservation or you’re not going to get in. I have seen that line 60 deep and that’s no exaggeration. I have never seen a new restaurant get such a huge following in such a short period of time - if you have a reservation, make sure you arrive early because parking around there can be very difficult and challenging and if you’re coming from a hotel just Uber instead of driving your car, this restaurant is utterly outstanding“

“It has been 3 years since I’ve had 5 daughters doughnuts since I happened upon them by chance the last time we visited Nashville. And ever since that first bite of the King Kong I’ve never stopped thinking about them. Every person who asks me about places to go to in Nashville I tell them to come here first and as many times as they can during their trip as the doughnuts are THAT good. Even my Lyft driver was envious he was dropping me off here. This site is a bit smaller but the quality is not diminished at all. I just tired the February seasonal Tiramisu and it was perfect! Espresso and chocolate dusted exterior and this pillowy airy chew with a rich cream inside. I don’t know how they do it but it’s always the best!“

“This was one of the favorite parts of the trip to Nashville. The food was absolutely top notch and the atmosphere was super welcoming and friendly. There was a musician playing jazz during breakfast and the owner made visits out to speak with everyone and thank them for coming. The restaurant is very community oriented and philanthropic. I never go to a restaurant more than once in a row while on a trip and we went here everyday. We were with a group of 8 and everyone loved this place. Another couple are coming back in a week and plan to come back to this restaurant again with friends/co-workers.“
