“I love KAO Lounge!! The staff there are friendly, knowledgeable, kind, and hardworking. I’m not one who goes out to drink often, but when I do go, I always suggest KAO. I love the vibe and I feel safe being there. I’ve had the privilege of working with KAO when I was with the Abilene Philharmonic and they were always reliable. (Again, because I don’t drink often and I get the exact same drink 99% of the time) I highly recommend them just because they’re amazing. Yes, their drinks are good, but they are just overall good people. Ps. Kaleb and Colby are the best!”

“Bear with me on this intro: We had quit eating at this Olive Garden a few years ago. The carpets were always filthy, the service was hit or miss, and the food had gotten lackluster. But my husband had read some recent reviews for it & he convinced me to give it a try. Wow, am I glad he convinced me to give it a second chance!
They have revamped the interior since my last visit - new carpets & wall treatments. Everything smelled clean! Our waiter was attentive & professional without hovering. I don't remember what I ordered (I've slept since then), but husband got the AYCE Soup & salad & was very pleased. He's a big soup guy & the Minestrone & the Zuppa Toscana were delicious. We were both very pleased with this visit & we will add this Olive Garden back to our list of Abilene restaurants to try when we are in town.”

“came to shop and get food! got a combo went to the fountain drinks and they were ALLL out. just ice in one of them and when we went to tell them they said grab a can drink. later we told someone because we felt bad for everyone else that didn’t know because the cashier wasn’t telling anyone. later we over heard someone say “they want us to take down the signs (only 2) on the fountain drink machine” literally didn’t care that people were so confused on why it wasn’t working. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! STEP IT UP especially if we are paying 40+ $$ for memberships!!!”

We explained it was our first time, so they walked us through the menu & explained everything is cooked to order, so it might take a few minutes to come out. She also explained that there were free peanuts we could munch on while waiting for our food. The food came out hot, fresh & delicious. You could tell the staff loved their jobs. We were visited by the lady who took our order and another gentleman who wanted to make sure we were happy. The prices were unbelievably affordable at just under $6, I believe, I got the Queso burger, which they gave me a knife & fork to eat with because there was so much queso on it. We don't live in town, but when we are in the area, we will go out of the way to eat here.”

Today, I ordered my usual latte and noticed that it was noticeably less than full— it only had less than 3/4..the rest was foam. Considering my past experiences here, I assumed it was just an off day and decided to reach out to the staff to let them know about the issue. I don’t remember who I spoke with but she was incredibly understanding and apologetic about the situation. She acknowledged the mistake and offered to remake our drinks right away. Unfortunately, I was already at work and could not take the time to go back. Instead, she promptly refunded my money without hesitation. While the initial disappointment of receiving less than a full cup of coffee was there, I truly appreciate the way Statesman handled the situation. Their customer services was top notch - they listened, apologized sincerely, and took immediate action to make things right. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but it’s how a business responds to those mistakes that truly sets them apart. I’ll continue to frequent Statesman for their great coffee and now, even more so, for their exceptional customer care!”

“As a local Abilenian for over 36 years now, this place is the definition of soul. From the moment I walked in the environment was great while the staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered the jerk chicken which was so tender it just melted off the bone. Served with great rice, flavorful cabbage and a side of tangy sauce. The chicken is done so well that the sauce is absolutely unnecessary if your like me and prefer just the smoky, seasoned flavors. I'll leave you with this, it was so good I had to order another breast just to try one more and I was happy to do so. Pricing is fine and above all else, in this time and era I feel we all can agree, supporting a local family owned business just feels good. These guys deserve it and much more. I hope their success continues to grow. CHECK IT OUT !!!”

Very fresh and as if the ownerscooks understood the taste profile. Loved it. Also had the focaccia, it isn't like I was expecting but it did NOT disappoint. I loved the blast of garlic and herbs, the mozzarella was so good. Tried the Pasta Samper (Lasagna, Pene Pasta, Manicotti) I love the amount of cheese that covered the dish. The stuffing in the manicotti was so creamy and smooth. I really enjoyed the beef in the dish is well very flavorful and cooked well. The salad with the house dressing is simply delightful. I could tell they were very busy this evening and even then they did not skip out on customer service and making sure the orders were right. No corners cut here. The food was hot, fresh, and overall a wonderful experience. Thank you for this amazing meal will definitely be back. Would love to try the stuffed pizza, calzone, or even Tarimissu next time. (I was tempted but already had plenty of food to sample) Keep up the great work definitely a great value especially with the cost of inflation these days and having to choose wisely where to go when dining out. One of the few known ice cream parlors, and has enough flavors and extras to make say it has a variety of choices. “The batista was so incredibly kind. I'm 38 wks pregnant and hypoglycemic and indecisive. She was so patient with me and gave lots of suggestions. I ended up getting two drinks because I had never had a lavender latte before. I ended up getting the Lavender Haze latte.
The batista was very helpful in helping slightly lower the sugar of the drink while maintaining the integrity of the flavor. (I really dislike sugar-free) It's actually really good. The espresso is not to bitter. I'll probably regret it when my sugar drops in a couple of hours, but right now, it's really hitting the spot. Very delicious.
I also got the hibiscus tea. Which isn't anything special. It tasts perfectly refreshing as it should.”

Then a man that worked there I guess noticed I didn’t finish my food and brought me a sack to take it home with me so it was easier to carry since I had a baby with me, he did this without me saying a word about needing one just thinking he’d make things easier on me to carry. They take pride in what they’re putting out and you don’t see that much nowadays especially in fast food.”

Can't say this is the case for this location since I went through the drive through but this has been the case when I went to Cane's in the past.

It just doesn’t make sense, but since prices is going up and everybody blames it on the economy, I just had to slow down my spending at chicken express because the things they are getting way too high for me personally to eat all the time if if I go eat there, I’ll just go treat myself you know maybe once or twice But yeah, the prices wouldn’t outrageous. I’d be there two or three times a week but besides that everything else is wonderful. I don’t know what they think the chicken is made out of gold. “I used to hate going to Chili's, so much that I quit going for years. But after they decided to go back to their original menu and focus more on their food it's became great! In my opinion, the HWY 351 location is better than the south side location. The mall location still needs some work.

Update: Stopped going again because the restaurant seems unclean. If they hire a company to do a deep clean and implement a better cleaning measure, I will consider coming back.”
