Our server, Jon P., was very personable and highly knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu, encouraging us to try items we might not have chosen otherwise. He would be an excellent trainer for other servers. Whenever we return from the DFW area to Amarillo, we will ask for him!
John is the best! We came in for our anniversary and he made it one we won’t forget. Can’t recommend Metropolitan enough. Never had a bad experience.
Wonderful food and staff. Drinks were delish. Jon Payne made our experience that much more enjoyable and Chef Nori hand delivered our delicious ribeye.

Metropolitan Steak & Seafood offers a wonderful dining experience in Amarillo. The charcuterie board is perfect for sharing, with a variety of meats and cheeses. The sea bass with teriyaki glaze and the Fried Shrimp Cocktail are customer favorites, along with the Alaskan Black Cod and the Asian style cedar plank salmon. The mac and cheese and truffle fries make excellent sides.
The atmosphere is stylish with modern, industrial, and classical touches, featuring chandeliers, dark wood, and black tablecloths. The bar is beautiful, and the service is cordial, thoughtful, and timely. The Michelin Star chef ensures every dish is prepared perfectly. Whether celebrating an occasion or a casual meal, guests are impressed by the food, drinks, and overall experience.
