The food, as always, was excellent. The service today, however, was disappointing. Once the food was served we didn't see our server again until she brought the check. Then she never came back to collect our card, someone else eventually did. Getting our card back was another ordeal. The waitstaff is typically prompt and courteous. Today was probably just an off day and will not keep us from going back.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of high chairs and boosters.
My husband and I always eat at Public House when in Amarillo. Their food is always fresh, well prepared, often times original types of recipes. By that I mean, they serve the unusual. It is a fun place and you don't leave hungry.

4 great visits. Everything we ordered was great. Servers have been informative and attentive each visit. Our favorites are the Steak eggroll appetizer and the Monte Cristo. Servers have also allowed us to sample beer before ordering. Desserts have been good. We got an overdone butter cake, but were not charged for it in the end. Also stayed 4+ hours on most recent visit because the atmosphere was so good. Some expensive dishes, but also some very reasonable options. Highly recommend...read full review
