“Don't let the looks of this place deceive you. The food was excellent and very authentic. Price was very reasonable. Best food we've had on our week long trip to CO. Make sure you bring cash though, as they don't accept credit cards.“

“This place has to be one of my favorite Thai places in town. The quality of the food and the service is always consistent. The girls are very sweet and you can tell the kitchen puts a lot of love into their food. My favorite is the seafood soup(juice ?) and the cheese wontons. As someone who doesn’t eat meat and hardly eats seafood it’s perfect for me. It’s always clean in there as well. As a server at another restaurant I pay attention to everything anywhere I go and they do great every time. I don’t trust many places with my food, but I definitely trust these people.“

“This is a great local place. I haven't had a bad meal here ever and the portions are huge. I've been eating here since at least 2008. I like getting combo fried rice with vegetables. It fills an entire takeout box. Dining in I prefer the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Again, the portions are huge.“

“The kids that are attending customers are young and in a hurry, but if a paying customer has been waiting on their order, attend to them, a glass of water for your wait-since we sent someone else with your order, would be nice. The food is good though!“
“Our food was delicious and served promptly, our servers were polite and attentive. We’ve been here several times and always enjoyed our visits. The decorations are a little spartan but definitely appropriate. They don’t make my A list but they’re not far off of it.“

“Food is phenomenal from Thai Menu, service is great. The atmosphere is homey, clean & tidy. I’ve tried almost all of their dishes & it’s pretty dang near to being authentic. I’ve had different types of Thai restaurants and it cannot compete. I highly recommend giving it a shot if it’s your first time or trying to give another Thai cuisine a chance this is it.“

“First time to try Thai in Amarillo and while the pad kee Mao had some good flavors, it was missing the good veggies like broccoli and tomatoes like I’m used to. Also strange that they don’t carry any peanut sauce, though they did provide chopped peanuts that I mixed with the “red chili sauce” as a compromise. Even then, sauce wasn’t great. The spring rolls came with shrimp and chicken inside, but the veggies were just thrown in all about with no care which took away from their enjoyment.“

“First time here and AMAZING customer service. Very sweet people. The food… SO SO GOOD!!! Probably the BEST combo fried rice I have had in Amarillo. We got 1 chicken friend rice and 1 combo friend rice with an order of egg rolls and spring rolls. Our total was $30. Such good price!!!“

“I stopped in for lunch with colleagues on a Tuesday. Upon entering, staff were friendly and made sure I found an accommodating seat. Service was excellent - beginning to end. I had the Spicy, a curry chicken stir fry, and a side cucumber salad. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I added chili oil to the spicy to give it a little more heat complexity. I highly recommend dining here.“

“Sunday nights can be a difficult time to dine in Amarillo, because it is around 3pm that the city becomes practically a food desert. It’s mostly the big chains that remain open; the Mom and Pop joints turn off the lights and don’t return until Tuesday.
But I was elated to find My Thai open one recent Sunday evening. I had narrowed my search to “Thai food near me,” and this was the only Asian-ish place open among the search results. It had been many years since I had been, primarily because I don’t find myself in that part of town often, but I was hungry.
I was quickly impressed by how much takeaway business they do, which may very well be part of the Sunday factor. They had a 6-foot table set up with bagged orders waiting for customers to arrive. That said, there were still easily a dozen tables occupied for in-house dining. The menu is actually rather short and compact for a Thai place, where I routine expect six to eight pages of curries, Pad this-and-that, and so forth. I quickly spied Pad See Ew (which they spell phonetically, Pad Ci-U, and ordered it with tofu. From order time to plate on my table, only 10 minutes elapsed, not bad for a place that was easily serving more meals to go than for dine-in.
The food was delicious, the price very affordable, and the serving size abundant. I left feeling just fine…not hungry, not stuffed. If I had to make a suggestion, it would be to include tofu as a protein option for many of the other items they list. Asian food is for the most part very scalable; it’s easy to sub one thing for another, and tofu for chicken in a yellow curry is no big stretch. Perhaps they would do this upon request (which I don’t know), but it would be nice for non-carnivorous patrons to know they have more choices than what appear.
Overall, a great dining experience, one I hope to repeat soon!
Vegetarian options: Four items list tofu as a protein option, but I bet it could be subbed on many other dishes.“

“Great Pad Kee mao and some of the best sushi. The (King Ball) roll was very tasty and affordable considering its sushi. 10/10 one of the best Asian restaurants I’ve had in a while and the people that worked there were so kind and generous to everyone. This place is a hidden gem!!“

“We are blessed to have so much amazing international cuisine in Amarillo. While there are many spread about the town, the greatest concentration is along Amarillo Boulevard, aka Route 66. There you will find Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican, Somalian, and more. And if you want to escape from there banalities of typical American cuisine, this is the place to do it.I had reason to venture to Amarillo’s north side to hit a Mexican fruiteria today, and then chose Thai Garden on the Boulevard for dinner. It is a very unassuming place, not among the highest class of Thai restaurants their government has subsidized through their gastro-tourism program the last two decades. But pretense does not always mean good food; I’d rather keep it simple and just have good food.Which is exactly what Thai Garden served. I went with the Yellow Curry, a hearty plateful of veggies and spicy coconut milk with a side of steamed rice. I was in heaven; I give the heat factor a rating of 2 out of 5, enough to get my attention, but not enough to have me sweating or crying. It was just right.I took the time to look around, and as per my usual assessment when dining at International restaurants, I wanted to see how I fit into the crowd. To my liking, I was the only white guy in the place, which is a good sign. It means that this is no corporate chain with faux food, but rather a place that has a loyal following among its own people.Better yet, this is on the Mother Road, and restaurants like this represent the future of the road. I give Thai Garden two thumbs up, and shall promote among the many Route 66 travelers I know who journey across this road each year.“

“Ramen and rice bowls are the staples. the food is amazing here by far the best asian food you can get in amarillo. stick to what you know you will like, if you are unsure of what to get, then get the ichiban ramen or one of the rice bowls.
the only bad parts about dining here is the time you wait, you can get your food anywhere from 20 mins up to an hour, however it is completely worth the wait. Not a quick stop but a good one.
Its a hole in the wall so limited seating and limited time they are only open for a very short amount of time and close early compared to other places in amarillo but they are family owned. kind and friendly staff“

“This is one of my favorites, try beef jerky and sticky rice. Pad Ci U is an awesome noodle dish and if you like it spicy try Pad Key Mouw (spelling wrong). Also the combination fried rice is delicious. The food is amazing and the service is amazing. However, I always get take out don't like dining in, they need to update and update bathrooms. However that could be done, I wouldn't know.“

“The food was so good. Portions have been affected by cost of goods as they were slightly smaller than we remembered. The shrimp summer rolls were great. My wife had the tamed down version of cashew chicken w/fried rice (no pepper). She said it reminded her of Peking (think before Pacific Rim). I had the extra spicy Pad Thai combo. Plenty of beef, chicken, shrimp and pork. Well done TA!“
