“Good place, variety of dishes at an affordable price. I ordered a molcajete, they have bar service and live music. On weekends the service is good and the food is quality. I only thought that three tortillas for a molcajete were maybe five short. It would be better, visit this place to live your own experience”

“Super cool place we stumbled upon while looking at the antique shops nearby. We ordered orange juice and grapefruit that were fresh squeezed to our surprise. Good aperol spritz too. The decor and vibe are so fun and I liked the music that was on. Great vibe!”

“We took a group ride from south of Ft Worth and to say we were not disappointed is an understatement. We had a group of about 17 and the service was great. Food was hot and amazing not to mention it was not very expensive. Try the pork rinds. I noticed that any bad reviews mention another restaurant which is very suspicious to us. Come try Wawas, it is well worth it.”

“Wanted to give a HUGE shout out to Dana. I went in today and ordered a sugar free vanilla caramel ice coffee. She was not only helping customers, but working the drive through window as well…answering the phone in there I think too. I can totally relate to how busy she was. My ice coffee was beyond amazing! “Fast service. Was out of a lot of the menu items. Okay to try something new...but when you go due to a craving....a sub is just not going to give you that special meal feeling. Orange chicken is not part of the discount lunch menu. Even if they are out of so many of the lunch choices.”

“Work graveyard shift, every Saturday morning & Sunday morning eat lunch there. Always same order, burger, fries & small drink. The burger is always great, but the fries are different The fries are always hot, but if store is busy the fries are very crispy (Great). But if the is not busy, the fries are still hot. They are very limp & saturated with oil. On these occasions I just throw them away. Don't know why this has held true since May 2022. Frustrating”

“I did the drive through to get a peanut butter milkshake for my sick wife. Was in a line with three cars and it did take a bit. I think the first car ordered a lot and the order got bungled by someone. They got pulled over eventually to wait and we all got through then. The lady at the drive through was great and friendly.”

“We tried this Chicken Express in Athens. It was very good. The service was good. We didn't have to wait too long for the chicken liver. Our food tasted good. The liver was fresh. We'll definitely come back to this location.”

“Our group was a party of 8, with four children between the ages of 3-13. When we walked in, the establishment was at about 40% capacity. Hostess told us the wait would be 30 minutes. We waited as she sat three families who came in after us. When we were finally seated it was at a table that had been empty since we got there. When we asked about the wait, the hostess said the reason for our wait was not because they were understaffed. It was not because there were large parties coming in. It was because they didn’t want to over work the staff.

I understand not wanting to overwork the staff, but this was not it. If being fully staffed and having a party of 8 is too much they either need to remove half the tables (15 of the 30 or so were empty), or retrain. Hostess was sweet enough, but a 30 minute wait with as many tables as they had available…. Yall are losing money.

The waitress that assisted us was spot on, but food was lacking in quality. Chicken Alfredo didn’t have any Alfredo, everything else was acceptable.

Update 4/7/2025

I was immediately contacted by Applebee’s asking for more detail about the incident and indicating they would retrain staff, confirming this type of service was unacceptable. I am appreciative of the actions taken to improve the process and will upgrade the stars as a result of this.”

“Two days before Christmas and I know they're tired of folks but...Also wall by door was dirty. Just needed some dusting and cleaning of display jars, sweeping etc. I did not use restroom so I don't know the condition. It was after lunch. The food was good. They offered a spicy tender because they were out of 1 for a 5 piece reg. Also out of mac'n cheese for 1 order. If I spend as much for groceries in a fast food place I expect it to be the best.”
