“Great Birthday weekend for the family. Saw the Longhorns and two week old baby! Wine tasting with host Elizabeth in the afternoon with great pizza, piano music, and cake. Returned for chili dinner and wine with fabulous Rosco Johnny band playing James Taylor and Bob Dylan. Michelle and Richard Anderson made it lots of fun!”

“Dinner last night at Whistlestop was amazing! It was just the perfect evening from start to finish. Not only was the food prepared and presented beautifully, the service was perfection as well. Our server, Zach, was personable and efficient. He made the evening fun and interesting. You could tell he really enjoys his job and appreciates the people he works for. The server assistants, Kaden and Nielle, were very observant, and were very tuned into our needs during the entire dining experience. This team anticipated our needs long before we had to ask for anything.Whistlestop Restaurant will always be our favorite place to dine. Thank you to the owners for bringing this type of restaurant to the area.”

“This place is awesome. It’s fine dining in a small town atmosphere. Seriously the best Crawfish stew I’ve ever had. The chicken fried steak is insanely good. I also tried the Crab Cake BLT…..whoa! Mind blown. What a cool combo. Great menu for everyone. Would recommend to anyone.”

“This is our absolute favorite Mexican restaurant. We have ate at many many Mexican restaurants all over and non compare to Los Socios. I love the employees they are so sweet and kind. “Got a chance to try The Dock after church today with neighbors. Our server, Bryce, was great...friendly, accommodating, and you could tell he was really trying to make a good impression, so sweet. I had the Tuna Tataki "starter" as my meal and it was perfect...one of the best I've had with really fresh, large pieces of seared sushi grade tuna. The chili ponzu gave it the perfect amount of kick! My friends all ordered "meals" and the portions were so large, they were asking for to go boxes immediately. One friend got the pancakes, and the table agreed they were phenomenal...cooked perfectly, and so tasty. Another friend got the Crab Cake Benedict and enjoyed it thoroughly. Someone else got the Catfish Étouffée and said it was amazing, and the last of us got the Chicken & Waffles and it was to die for, as well. The bar looks like a fun place to sit and grab a drink (my Bloody Mary was tasty, too). There were a couple of very large groups that came in about the same time, so we did have to wait for drinks and food took some time, but we enjoyed visiting with each other and the food was so delicious that it was worth the wait! We all can't wait to go back and try even more menu items!”

“I’ve been using Lone Star Marina for over 4 years. The friendliness and professional staff make the difference. When I moved here, I kept my wave runner there for about 1 year. Now that I have my own boathouse, I continue to use them for fuel and rental needs when I have family visiting. I used them this last week to allow my boat dealer from Lewisville to pick up my boat for warranty work. The dealer ran late and the Lone Star staff waited, after closing time, to allow my dealer extra time to pick up my boat. I appreciate the willingness to help me without hesitation. That’s service with a smile !”

“Met the owner,Rhonda, she is a gem. She is all about customer service.. It was my first time there and they we so nice and accommodating. Food hot and quick to be served. A local place for you pizza needs and other comfort food wants. Definitely would recommend this little restaurant. I will be spending a lot more time and money at this place.”

“An unexpected find on our road trip was this Tex-Mex kitchen tucked away in a hotel. Fast service and good food made it a perfect pit stop. The atmosphere was laid-back, and the staff was friendly. I tried the beef fajitas, and they were good. From the sizzling plate to the flavorful meat, it hit the spot. If you're cruising through and craving some Tex-Mex goodness, this spot is definitely worth checking out.”

“Breakfast with family in from out of town.I wasn't up to making breakfast for everyone and this cute little lakeside store/Cafe is just likevisiting Grandma's on Saturday morning.We ordered fried eggs, toast, bacon and hash browns. All cooked to perfection and my hubby got pancakes which were light and fluffy and too much for him to finish.There's plenty of room to sit at available tables in the Cafe.The service is great and the staff is super sweet.The tea and coffee is freshly made.Highly recommend for dine in or take out.Their breakfast biscuits are delicious.”

“Food is spectacular, the service is 5 star, and the atmosphere is perfection. We have been several times. I’ve only had the steak, but my husband has had the prime rib, the beef tips, and a different cut of steak and each time we have been beyond happy with the food. The skillet brownie sundae is to DIE FOR. There is no smoking until after 10 and the live music and dancing with dinner is so fun. Highly recommend!”

“Great place to eat. I've been there a few times now and enjoyed every visit. Good salad and bean bar. Friday's they have a seafood buffet, but I ve not tried that yet.Only bad thing is the water. The town has infamously bad tasting water. I would recommend drink iced tea. It would be nice if they would get a filter system that would fix the bad taste.Parking: No problem finding parking.Wheelchair accessibility: They are wheelchair accessible.”

“Very cute place. ♥️Customer service is very good.However, I don't think it's going to be there long:- They need to offer espresso, cold brew, white coffee: things that will bring in regular people [Healthy Hangout is across the highway from the Malakoff Liquor Store]- The protein smoothie base is Soy.- The products are MLM, which brings your base costs up. You would be much better off getting them through a regular distributor like UNFI, or regional restaurant wholesaler.Those are the biggest red flags that stood out. There may be others, but it boils down to offering products that your neighborhood will consume. This is not some extremely pretentious area, and restricting your product base to things people are unlikely to buy, is not going to bring in revenue and repeat business.10/10 for aesthetics, 2/10 for product offering.”

“We came here a few months a go, right after the new owners bought the Ochoa's restaurant in Malakoff. We were very disappointed with the food & especially the margaritas. So bad, we sent them back. We returned today & were shocked by the difference a few months made. On Tuesdays they have small Margaritas for 2.25 that are very generous with size & tequila. They are superior to the ones we sent back. We shared a chicken fajita salad that was huge. It came with a side order of ranchero beans. Best salad we ever had. Service was outstanding!”

“We just recently started coming to this Subway. It is one of the best Subways I have ever been to! There is a Gentleman who goes by Perk and a young lady also who I did not get her name. They are always so welcoming and Perk always remembers who we are and what my order is. “Hello, my name is Dylan Madson . I’m writing this review today to complain about a manager, I believe his name is Brian. The first time I went to Milanos was to get my mom some pizza because she absolutely loves it, she loved every pizzeria we went to, we usually get pizza every Friday. I ran into this place and she wanted to give it a shot. I walked up to the counter to place my order and that’s when I met Brian. I told him what I wanted and he caught an attitude with me for no reason, he pretty much yelled at me telling me to speak up. I’ve also talked to some of the employees and I’ve heard some things they told me about Brian. A female worker told me that Brian was acting inappropriate towards her and it made her very uncomfortable, she even considered quitting because she reported it and nothing happened. And another incident happened with a teenage male worker, supposedly Brian got into his face trying to intimidate him because he didn’t show up to work the following day even though he wasn’t required to. He even verbally abuses his workers, He treats his employees and customers like they’re nothing. I’ve also talked to some of my friends and they also said that the same manager was rude and disrespectful towards them and they don’t plan on ever going back to Milanos again and neither do I. I think the food and atmosphere is great but Brian ruined my overall experience. I would love to speak to Shane Hunsinger personally, and get a petition started to get Brian either fired or moved to a different location. Milanos would be such a high tier pizzeria if they didn’t hire disrespectful, rude, and nasty managers like Brian.”
