I have lived in Austin, TX since 1989 and yet to find a noodle house better than Chen's. This is a very small place. I recommend getting your order to go. If you order online, Chen may overlook it, and instead prepare the dish once you arrive. Just be patient with your order as this is a two man operation and sometimes online orders get overlooked when their busy.
Excellent dining at this “hole in the wall” noodle joint! We were looking for a unique spot in Austin and got directed here via Tik Tok. Great hand pulled noodles, very fair prices. The food and services was fast, plenty of options of how to enjoy the noodles…dry or in soups. We went with a beef noodle soup and a lamb noodle soup. I really enjoyed my lamb, nice tender chunks. I love Chen's so much I have to refrain from going multiple times a week! I get the lamb stir fry noodles and my fiance gets the sesame pockets. I have enjoyed every dish I've tried here! The wonton soup is perfect for when you're feeling under the weather.
