“Absolutely incredible dining experience! Went last night with the husband and the night from start to finish was amazing. The entire team was wonderful, from the extremely personable and friendly host for the night (I believe his name was Kavian) to all the chefs, staff and a great surprise was meeting Chef Ling herself! The courses were to die for and the portions were perfect. We can't wait to come back and share the experience with some friends!“
“Everything tasted good. Peking duck was phenomenal. Chickens& chili sauce and couples beef slices were delicious. Peashoots and duck soup was also delicious.Half the food was fantastic, the other half was just good, hence the 4stars on food, but the price was also incredible.Insane amount of food for less then $200“
“Went for the hot pot lunch and had an excellent meal and experience. The foods are fresh and colorful and tasty. Our server explained the hot pot process in detail and helped us as needed. This is a really cool place for lunch with a group or to sit at the bar. There are plenty of options for meats and veggies to satisfy everyone.Lots of easy free parking too so that’s a big plus.“
“Lin’s has the best soup dumplings in Austin. However, we consistently have bad service here and leave slightly disappointed. Tonight, our waitress accidentally dumped an entire glass of water on my boyfriend and he was soaked the rest of the meal. The books we bought before dinner were wet. Our waitress apologized but said “it’s just water”. Accidents happen, but we shouldn’t have to complain and whine to receive decent service. Probably won’t be back for a while.“
“This place deserves a review, and not just a good review..but the best a Hakka place should get. We ordered- chilli chicken garlic (dry).- triple Szechuan chicken rice- Hakka noodles chickenChilli chicken garlic dry is my fav of all 3, it didn't taste like from The streets of.mumbai but it was bloody darn good.Triple Szechuan, it finally quenched my craving in Austin after living for 20 years in Canada and eating some Punjabi version of Hakka. This was heaven.Hakka was great too. This is my new Hakka to go place and I am bringing guests here too.The food truck lot has tons of.other options if not Hakka and many benches to sit.Coming back and bringing some.people.alibg next time. Totally recommend it“
“Everything I’ve had here has beenabsolutely delicious. The waitstaff is friendly for the most part. There is one waitress who needs to work on her people skills but she’s not horrible. Always clean and food is always prepared fresh. Stop reading and go try this place out.“
“Family own type of restaurant, decent size of restaurant. Traditional foods so delicious, melt in your mouth and make you think of your home town foods. 20 items on the menu for Traditional foods and have typical American Chinese foods as well but didn't have a chance to look at. They sell goodies as well. They have special bogo or discount any certain days. Should give a try and will be coming back“
“I recently dined at this restaurant around the corner from me that left me thoroughly impressed. The portions were generous, satisfying even the heartiest appetites. The standout dish for me was the flavorful and perfectly cooked Hunan Chicken – a must-try that exceeded my expectations. The overall experience was delightful, and I highly recommend this place for both quantity and quality lovers.“
“West campus, a Chinese food truck slightly west of campusI bought a Liangpi. It should be $9.2 including tax. I will pay with Zelle. The Liangpi itself is quite large, with a lot of bean sprouts and shredded cucumbers. You can add all the sauce. The chili oil is very fragrant but not too spicy. The ratio of sauce to cold skin ingredients is OK when it is cold, and it is not too dry or wet. It tastes refreshing. If you like strong flavors, you may need to add more sauce. I would like to try Roujiamo next time“
“My mom and I came to Austin to visit my little sister who has been living here for a couple of years. It’s our first night and we were deciding on what to eat for dinner and being Filipino - we were looking for a home cooked meal and Kapatad definitely satisfied that! When we came we didn’t realize they were closing 30 mins earlier than usual because it was Sunday. My family ordered quickly but we did not feel rushed at all because the staff were very accommodating and welcoming to have us for dinner. My mom talked to the owner who took the time to talk to her for a little bit even though he had his hands full trying to clean. Our server was also seemed very kind! The food was very delicious and gave us a taste of home. Overall, we definitely felt the Filipino hospitality here and cannot recommend it anymore!“
“Step into a world of tantalizing flavors and aromatic spices at this hidden gem of an Asian food restaurant. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that sets the stage for a culinary journey like no other. The menu at this 888 Pan Asian eatery is a delightful fusion of traditional recipes and modern twists, offering a wide variety of dishes to satisfy every palate. From savory stir-fries to fragrant curries, each dish is expertly crafted to showcase the vibrant flavors of Asian cuisine. One standout dish that stole the show is the Pineapple Fried Rice and the orange chicken. The perfectly crispy battered chicken is coated in a tangy and sweet orange glaze that is both indulgent and addictive. Each bite is a symphony of textures and flavors that will leave you craving more. Another must-try is their General Tso's, a work of art that tantalizes both the eyes and the taste buds. The service is impeccable, with attentive staff who are knowledgeable and fast. Whether you're a novice to Asian cuisine or a seasoned foodie, the staff is dedicated to ensuring that your meal is nothing short of extraordinary. Our food was out in less than 10 minutes, and the portions are ridiculous generous for a $14 dish. Whether you're craving bold flavors or seeking a comforting meal, this 888 Pan Asian food restaurant is sure to exceed your expectations and leave you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal.“
“Long live Ling Wu’s! This is hands down our family’s favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. We also leave feeling happy with the outstanding food and service. We always come here for special occasions or if we need a pick me up if we’ve had a rough week. We love the whole team here!“
“Loud bustling atmosphere that you would expect from a popular restaurant on a Sat night. The staff is super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. Flaky scallion swirls were amazing with the the truffle butter and sweet bean sauce to lather on top. Very flavorful, flaky and super buttery and soft. We also had the Liang Ban BBQ Pig Ear which was spicy and really nice flavor and it numbs your mouth. I could only have a little as I'm not a huge fan of the Mala peppercorns but my husband enjoyed it. Same with the DanDan noodles - strong Mala pepper flavor. The husband said the DanDan Noodles were the best he's ever had so far. For dessert, we had the black sesame soft serve which was delicious. TIP: scoop from the bottom when eating the soft serve or you'll end up with a bunch of tapioca with your last few bites. My favorite was the flaky scallion swirl.“
“Some people complain about the lack of space. Sadly, you can't help that every one and their mother wants to eat at this place now. The food is just that good. Service is quick from the time you order.Authentic sizchuan and other tasty Chinese dishes. I recommend the mapo tofu, spicy pork pot, dry pot, greenbeans, and the pork ribs are to die for.“
“Delicious! They claim Japanese and Taiwanese, but it’s kind of an Asian varietal! The handmade dumplings and wontons are ridiculously delicious. The sushi is fresh and tasty. The beef claypot was good but it had very little beef only 6 pieces with lots of carrots and mushrooms. Our service was awesome. I can’t wait to go back. The prices were reasonable for the quality.“
“Heaven in a cup | Hand crafted authentic Chai . You have to wait about 7 minutes for it as he makes each cup of chai fresh. Unbelievably delicious!! Brought back pleasant memories of my years in India. . Last week I had chai at a regular brick and mortar “Indian” restaurant. I couldn’t drink it. It was so bad I threw it out! In contrast, this guy crafts each cup with love. . Intersection of I-35 and 38th Street in the Shell parking lot. It’s not fancy but the food is great too. I love their samosas. I remember when G’raj Mahal was in a trailer before they became famous in downtown Austin. These guys could be the next big thing in Indian food. Lata Bhatia“
“So far my favorite Chinese spot in Austin. Perfectly balanced dishes in a great atmosphere with reasonable prices and great service.I always get the Kung Pao chicken on my first visit to a Chinese place because it’s a great staple to compare. Theirs knocks it out of the park with great veggies and sauce and perfectly cooked chicken. We also had great service and a great cucumber salad that balanced out the heat of the meal so well. Would definitely recommend. We finished off with the donuts, and they transported me to my childhood of eating Chinese buffet food just to get the sugary goodness of donut balls. They taste exactly like your best memory of those sweets. In my opinion, it’s a cheaper and better spot for date night or just a dinner than Wu Chow! Check it out!“
“Love this place !!! . Everything is fresh and made with pride. . Never had one thing here that wasn't wonderful. I also like that there egg drop soup has peas and carrots in it. In the ballpark price wise and worth every penny. Like the two mature waitresses working the tables !.“
“By happenstance my fiancé and I tried Special Noodle. On first glance, the restaurant was very clean and modern. Ordering was easy and it helped to have photos included in their app. The food and service were top notch. Everything arrived hot and I appreciated the availability of condiments at the table. The only criticism we had was that the honey walnut shrimp didn't look like the picture that was advertised and it was over battered/way too sweet. Everything else that we ordered was delicious. We will definitely be visiting Special Noodle again!“
“Chengdu chilli chicken was yummy if you like spicy red chilies in your chicken. It also had asparagus beans and carrots in it. Also tried hot and sour soup was deliciousPeople were very friendly and welcoming great vibe. Checks all boxes for a nice Chinese place right around the corner“
“I planned to go to Chinatown North for dim sum but the sign at the entrance said to head downstairs for dim sum, where Street is below. The waiter said they are connected but different establishments and the dim sum servers upstairs would come from the lower kitchen anyway. I ate here with a close friend after wrapping up weekend meetings in Austin. The place has a good vibe and friendly service, quite modern and clean. We shared six items and everything had great flavor, with the turnip cake and prawn siu mai being my favorites. Above average pricing for dim sum but I think that comes with the experience. Good spot for a date or with friends. I would go back.Parking: Free parking lot around the building.“
“Pork soup dumplings 10/10 by far the best I’ve tried in the Austin area. Pork and shrimp dumplings 7/10. Finally the pork chop noodles soup 11/10 broth was clean and full of flavor, pork was falling off the bone and the noodles were cooked to perfection. 100% recommend this place. Its was worth the 1.5hr drive.“
“I love this place. The food is always fresh and delicious, the staff are super friendly and welcoming, it truly hits the spot. I love everything I’ve tried here and it’s a no-brainer in our household; we are always down to go. Good, solid food at a great price and wonderful people.“
“Very good fresh noodle spot . What it lacks in ambiance it makes up in good Chinese food. My lamb fried noodles were very good. A bit oiy but very good flavor. I added extra spice too because it comes unspicy. It has a steady stream of customers is always a great sign. Done in can be tight but it also has outdoor seating .Vegetarian options: Most dishes can come vegetarian“
“I can't decide which wad better, the food or the service. We were feeling a bit Phoish and attempted to oder online but unfortunately there seems to be a technical issue and the menu is askew. I attached pictures of it so that you dont have the same problem.(YOUR welcome) If you are feeling like Pho you need not look any further. PUT DOWN YOUR MOUSE OR PHONE AND GET YOUR BOTTEM OVER THERE ASAP. The food is delish and the service feels like grandma's house. After tonight my family is officially becoming regulars at this little gem ? ✨️ ?“
“Megan was a lovely server. She made perfect recommendations and I could tell she herself was a fan!! The food was super fantastic. The food was delivered hot and the wait wasn't even long. I learned Sergio was the main chef yesterday and his attention to detail as well as presentation were perfection. YUM and YUM times a million.“
“I've come to this place several times since they were remodeled a couple of years ago and it never disappoints. The pho broth is really flavorful and comes with quality meats and veggies. The bahn mis are tasty and are easily two meals for myself. This time, I decided to try something different. I got the Spicy Noodle Soup which was amaaaazing. The broth is more salty and fatty as opposed to the herbal, clear pho broth. It also comes with a big beef rib which was a surprise. It is a perfect rainy day dish that I look forward to having again in the future.“
“China Family is the best Szechuan in Austin, hands down. Others are too salty, not spicy enough, not enough of the main dish. It's pricy-ish, but imo it is very worth it! I pick up their beef in chili oil at least once a month—it's worth the trek!“
“I waited a bit to write this review. I've ordered their lo mein, kung Pao chicken, shrimp with rice, orange chicken, and egg rolls. Each different dish multiple time now. They are consistently good and fresh off the frier. The shrimp dish I order did have the fried shrimp whole, which I enjoy. Although that might not be for everyone. Might double check when you're ordering.“
“This restaurant is a family favorite. We love the spring rolls with the generous portions and that special crunchy stick inside. My personal favorite is the lemon grass tofu, Mom likes the grilled shrimp. We always order the green beans XO for the table. So delicious. Some very thoughtful vegan entrees include Spicy Vegan Hue style Vietnamese noodle soup and the Vegan 512 Vermicelli. Of course many dishes can also be made without meat, but it's nice to have a vegetable based broth option. They also have a vegan option for fish sauce if you so desire. The portions are generous. It's a great place for takeout. The prices are reasonable. What's not to love?“
“Nice little spot! Fresh ingredients and attentive service. It felt very comfortable, I had an issue with one of my dishes and they promptly corrected it. I tried the edamame, wonton soup and sesame chicken. My brother had the sesame shrimp. I appreciate the experience and will definitely be back.“
“My mom and I went on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't too busy. Which was really nice for a casual weekend lunch. We got the Shrimp Dynasty and Garlic beef. + the scallion pancake, and shrimp spring rolls. Nicole was our waitress, who was ABSOLUTELY amazing. She was kind, and attentive. She spoke to us like we had been there many times before, Making us feel incredibly welcome. She did an amazing job at providing suggestions on what to eat, as well really delicious wine pairings. The hostess was super nice as well. The whole team who work here are fantastic. The food is super yummy. My biggest regret is not coming to eat in person sooner. As I had only ordered from the sushi menu for delivery. Please stop by! 10/10!“
“Certain dishes were just incredible - the miso soup, the poke bowls, crab rangoon, and the mushroom salad. The sweet and sour chicken was however very dry, no sauce at all. Mixed feelings overall, but this place definitely feels authentic and has a lot to offer.“
“No one greeted us when we first arrived so we figured out to scan the QR code for the menu and just grabbed a table on our own. Eventually a server did ask if we wanted to drink something. The food itself however, was delicious! I would consider take-out for the future, but they did have a robot delivering food to you, if you would like to try that once. The food was really flavorful and seemed authentic. The yogurt drinks can be customized for sugar level; it has a tiny sour taste which is expected as the name suggests but not over powering. I would definitely go back again and try more dishes!“
“It's so delicious, everyone. Remember to buy sour soup with braised fish and stir-fried vegetables. It's delicious. Went in to try it for the first time and was so lucky to buy delicious food. Finally bought it home 3 hours ago for dinner. In Houston, I haven't seen any place that can cook this well“
“the man hand pulls the noodles! you can see and taste the love! very good treasure island it was my favorite. super yum yes! VERY WELL PRICED SAKE!!! we thought $10 would get a cup, NO it's the WHOLE BOTTLE!!! simply a great place for any casual occasion.“
“We tried Hotpot Alley for lunch this afternoon and it was absolutely awesome. It was our first time trying hot pot so we didn't really understand how it worked. The staff was super friendly and helped up threw the process. We will definitely be back again!“
“Food was less flavorful than expected and pretty good. Plenty (!!) of veggies with General Tso dinner ? service was fast and simple. Open kitchen style restaurant with really old style architecture. Worth going to again and again! I went to pickup for TooGoodToGo, and wound up ordering the general tso. I got a lot of HS Soup and rice, few brocolli and some steamed wonton for the pickup.Vegetarian options: There is an all veggie section on the menu.Wheelchair accessibility: The open kitchen style would accommodate a wheelchair, I believe.“
“I haven't been into the restaurant but I order from here a lot. Reasonable prices and a no tipping policy along with great food make it one of my go-to places to eat.Vegetarian options: They have quite a few veggie and vegan dishes. You can't go wrong as everything is clearly labeled, and there's a separate vegetarian menu listing.“
“I do not live in the area but every time I visit I make sure to stop by for their BBQ pork. It is amazing! Dinner portions are fair priced and it's always delicious. A direct quote from my 6 yr old is "mommy if you could make food like this I would be so happy and eat all of it." Service is fair and they do get a bit busy. Restaurant itself is pretty simple but with food that good I'm glad that the effort is going there! With that being said everyone we've met is kind but with a busy get it going attitude.Parking: Plenty of parking since it's in a plazaWheelchair accessibility: There was a wheelchair ramp that leads up to the restaurant“
“If you aren’t leaving 5 star reviews then you’re ordering the wrong stuff.?All the fried rices?Chicken and eggplant with fried rice?Crab rangoon?Wings?Beef and broccoli?Mongolian beef?SALT AND PEPPER SHRIMP?Sweet and sour soupIt all slaps! So lucky we live close“
“Had a wonderful dinner experience at RedFarm. The drinks were delicious as were the sharable dishes. Our waiter was helpful in making some great recommendations, and a few of our favorites were the Pastrami Egg Roll, Crispy Duck Wontons, Pork and Crab Soup Dumplings, the Steak, and the Wok Fried Green Beans and Brussels.“
“Have visited this place anytime i want Chinese food!!! Even drive from 45 mins away to get!! Family owned and great vibes!! Food is woooo sooo goodVegetarian options: Any plate you order won’t disappoint!! Lo mein noodles made fresh in house so darn good!!!“
“Ok wow - this place impressed me!!! Came on a weekend and they had lunch special - first win. Every entree included a soup, egg roll, and crab Rangoon. All were delicious. I got the hot and sour soup. We got the orange pork and the garlic sauce beef - wow both were so good, flavorful and FRESH!! The orange pork was freshly fries and soooo crispy. Will definitely be back. All of that plus a soft drink out the door around $30 including tip?!? Incredible. Definitely adding to my rotation.“
“We often visit for dinner on week nights. Very friendly wait staff. Fast service. Usually get the wonton soup, hot & sour soup, cheese Rangoons, combination fried rice, chicken 2 style, and/or the sesame chicken. All fresh, hot and very tasty.“
“I love it here ! Cute corner shop that has lots of yummy vegetarian/vegan options as well. Local spot that's conveniently located; one of my new favorites !Vegetarian options: Labeled vegetarian section, appetizers available as well.Dietary restrictions: Good for pescetarians, vegetarians, vegans, etc.Kid-friendliness: Good food for the whole family!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp access and open table seating“
“First time stopping at a food truck and i wasnt dissapointed, orange chicken tasted amazing, egg rolls were pretty good, tbh coulda been deep fried just a min longer too give it more of that umpfh in the crisp, also i definitely can make a 3am snack out of what i have left, i chowed down on it, 7.8/10 def recommend?“
“The Shrimp lo mein was delicious and the veggies in it had the perfect crunch. I loved the light crunch/breading on the shrimp. The steamed dumplings were tasty and cooked perfectly. The place is really really small inside, there is maybe enough room for 2 people to eat there. 10/10“
“One of my personal favorites especially for takeout . Food is always good has great flavor from the lo mein to the sesame chicken to the egg rolls and beef and broccoli. Worth every penny and deff recommend if you love Chinese food . Never a long wait for the food and you can also call ahead and order . The girls in the front always greet you with a smile ... love love love this place !!!!“
“I am unsure as to a review of Qi as a vegan. Nothing is marked vegan on the menu, although our waitress said there were a few things that could be made vegan. We were told the fried & steamed dumplings, scallion pancake, and tofu/rice dish were all vegan, but Im just not sure as our waitress seemed a bit confused at times would really be nice to mark items as vegan on the menu, especially for allergy sensitivities. I did think everything was delicious though and very creative.“
