“A bit pricy but it’s understandable with how much food they give you. Like one order is enough food for 2 people. Food taste great except the tostones were a bit underwhelming. Both times I’ve had their tostones they were cooked just a bit too long. They have a lot of dessert options. Their flan is amazing! Other than that the atmosphere is great and they’re very attentive.“
“I'm from Florida and until I found this truck totally felt that the Cuban food in Austin was lacking -- this place has the real stuff!Highly recommended for the food and the service. My only complaint is the mega loud generator --> not sure why they can't just get power from the grid there at the Hive...probably some strange Austin food-truck law; otherwise, it's great!“
“I went here for lunch with some colleagues and had a great time. The food is all you could hope for from a traditional Cuban spot with some twists. I had the ropa vieja, and I tried some empanadas and patacones for appetizers. It wasn't too busy for an early weekday dinner, and I thought the venue was cute. Parking seemed a bit limited, so maybe at peak hours it's hard to find spots. Great drinks, too!“
“$16 wagyu burgers at the back of the idle hands bar. We also ordered the dressed fries! Everything was delicious, my bf had to fight the urge to order another burger The bar itself has great drinks and limited seating inside, but plenty of seating outside. Tip: burgers are made as is, they don't take custom orders“
“Apparently, the kitchen staff & recipes have changed. We always used to order the salmon with mushrooms, onions & red peppers. It was delicious. Last time we ordered, it was not the same dish. Instead of salmon chunks, there was a slice of salmon without any veggies. Just the sides I ordered. It was tasty, but not as good as before. Suggest going back to original recipe, it was delicious. Sad about these changes. Would be willing to try once more, but that's it, as there isn't much on the menu that I can actually eat, since I only eat chicken & fish.“
