“Clark's is such a special spot. I personally don't love sitting inside because they have such a cozy little patio and I love sitting out there on a cool evening as the sun begins to set. It's surrounded by trees, warm lights, and neon signs. But we snagged a last minute reservation and all that was available was standard seating. They really set the mood as the evening progresses with the tea light candles and dimmed lights. We were greeted and seated immediately. Carrie was our waitress and she was friendly, attentive, warm and so easy going. It had been a while since I had dinner here but I knew I wanted crudo plate, it is probably my favorite item from the cold bar. Clark's is a treat. If you're on vacation in ATX, it's a must. Or on any day where you feel like having the freshest, delectable seafood.“
“First timer. I ordered the monthly special at the time and it was amazing. I’ve placed the online order for pick up this time around because there was a line out the door so I left. Next time, I’m gonna have to dine in for the freshest experience.“
“Considered some of the best Tacos in Austin by so many! I AGREE! Authentic Mexican Street tacos are what I love. That being said, I must hold you to a higher standard and compare to tacos stands In Houston, San Antonio, and Southern California. It was a Tuesday so I was able to get Tripas and I heard Buche was on point here as well. I requested my Tripas tacos to be “crispy” like I always do. They came over burnt. Fortunately, I like burnt flavors, but not as overwhelming on my Tripas. I picked out some of the more over burnt pieces. I’ll have to give a 3 star for the Tripas Tacos. Buche tacos and the Salsa did redeem the meal.“
“The best food in town. We were there with our team and we ordered almost everything from the menu and loved everything we ate. Their speciality is more about beef, pork and fish and they are perfect at it . Their menu keeps changing and chicken options are not available . Servers were gentle, kind and helped in choosing. I highly recommend this place.“
“Very nice and polite staff that makes you feel at home. Tried the ribs which were very tender and juicy but a too little salty for me. The brisket was great, and I would highly recommend. Great place to eat but bring your patience because there will be a line.“
“WOW! This place was amazing. I got here at 9:40am and I was the 4th person in line. By 10:15 there was over 50 people waiting to get in. I got a little of everything so the price was not cheap. But man am I glad I did. All the meat was outstanding. The Coleslaw was outstanding. The green beans was outstanding. The BBQ beans was outstanding. The Corn was outstanding. If you are in Austin you have to come here. Top three BBQ joints on my all time list. Right up their with slow bones in Dallas and Stanley's in tyler.“
“If you’re visiting Austin and looking for great BBQ, go here! No 3 hour waits, and running out of food at the “name brand” high rated places. The bartenders were great! Over 80 craft beers to choose from and some of the best ribs I’ve ever had! Right on Rainey street.“
“They have an extensive vegetarian/vegan menu with a ton of variety--breakfast food, mexican food, comfort food, desserts, drinks, and most of it is delicious. My only complaints were that the desserts were often too sweet and a little one note, and the surcharge they add makes it pretty expensive depending on what you get. Still worth it though.“
“Had such a great experience at Caroline’s Upstairs. Bartender Uly helped make two very special custom drinks for my friend’s bachelorette celebration. Uly also helped get us all the ice shots we needed to ring the bell!! Great vibe, live DJ music, and friendly staff/patrons. Highly recommend for all ages groups.“
“Excellent! Great service & excellent food! Order the brussel sprouts!!! We had a few different dishes (marinated olives w/whipped feta, chicken kebobs, crab cakes, crispy potatoes, salmon, ahí tuna..etc) but the stand out for me hands down were the brussel sprouts. I really look forward to visiting this place again!!!!!“
“One of my favorite spots I’ve hit in Austin. Unique menu, only tried the Karage and Brisket but looking forward to coming back to try other items. Karage was incredible, the ghost pepper aioli was one of best aiolis I remember eating recently. Brisket was great as well. Also a great outdoor space and a lot of open space. TVs everywhere else so great place to post up, eat, drink, and catch up with friends.“
“Best to stand in line for a hour or two before they open to get their normal meat options or see their special for the day. Best for everyone to get one of each on the menu to share between you ya'll. I recommend getting the texado sausage or the beef rib if they have it for the special for the day with the scallops with Gouda for the sides“
“Brisket and pork ribs are amongst the best we’ve had in our BBQ journey in Austin even FranklinsThe sides that stood out were Mac and cheese and jalapeño grits. Green bean salad needs a kickCarson was amazing, was available to talk about BBQing and spent time with us before they openedService was superior. Atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable Thanks from visitors from oregon and Washington“
“A place to find a delicious chicken sandwich—but it’s on a biscuit, so what’s not to love? The fries were also good, so what’s not to love?Well, it’s the small swarm of bees that show up the minute you open the spicy honey dip. Eat at your own risk.“
“Moved to Austin recently and was looking for an authentic Jamaican spot. After finding this place, I don't think I will have to look any further! The bone-in jerk chicken with the rice & beans was packed with flavor and made with love. The plantains are the best i've ever tried, and the beef patty was amazing also. This place will leave you feeling satisfied and happy!“
“I've always had a great experience coming here. Today I stopped by desperately to get coffee and a quick bite, as my salon across the street doesn't have food choices. The gentleman this morning, made my day by gifting a vegan coffee cake for my morning. Thank you.“
“Between Antonelli's for cheese and this place for gelatto and small sweets (macroons, baklava, stroopwaffle), Duval's 43-45 corridor is a powerhouse of small-scale, high-quality business. The gelato here is comparable or better than the other-best-ice-cream I've had (Bent Spoon @Princeton, NJ), and certainly does the Europe proud. I'm told the proprietor studied gelato in school and it shows.“
“Food & atmosphere were so great - I love the dog polaroid wall, even before trying the food I could tell right away that this was my kind of establishment.Madi served us and she was AMAZING, she was such a sweet person and made our whole experience so fun. Whoever is in charge over there, make sure to give your girl Madi some praise because that is a 5 Star team member right there.“
“I am a "go local" guy and prefer all things home-grown... but with that said, I have to give credit where credit is due. I love this place. It is not my #1 pizza place, but it makes me second guess my top choice every time I visit. Quality ingredients... great location... nice ambiance for a pizza place... vast selection of good beer... and amazing taste! PHP is a chain, but it is one that I frequent because they have managed to keep their standards sky high!“
“So glad we found this place! We were next door getting our car washed and the owner of the car wash recommended we go across the street to get a drink while we waited. The vibe in this pace was so cool. A friend that was with us said that the place felt like something from a movie scene. The bartender was very nice. I had the frozen Irish coffee. It was SO good!! I love souvenirs and the was excited to keep my cup. We will definitely be stopping there next time we are in Austin!“
“First time here and I tried the Rad Brew! Employees had great recommendations for what I was looking for. Huge selection of signature drinks- perfect for every craving! Bought some sweet treats as well that I purchased for some friends! MUST TRY IN AUSTIN, TX!“
“Tuesday, 7:30 pm. Boarded up, hours do not reflect the business actually being open.Edit: originally reviewed a 1 star due to business closure, they did leave an Instagram post indicating the closure so updated to 4 stars. Check @rnbssteakandfries before going just in case. Hope I can try them next time.“
“I've been eating pastries, ice cream from this place since they are in downtown. Moving to New location made it even better and I love everything they sell. Definite 5 star experience everytime.Kid-friendliness: There is plenty of open space for kids to play and some kid friendly items like slide.Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible from parking to order and tables.“
“10/10 experience from an unsuspecting location! Amir (owner) is the kindest person, takes real pride in his work, and serves the most delicious food! I am vegetarian and get the falafel garden plate and every vegetable is cooked to perfection plus the falafel is perfection. Also, the portion sizes are huge!!“
“Saw this place walking by while day drinking on SoCo. We spotted the bar and went in. Our bartender Sydney was incredible. She made us very good drinks and was amazing company. She was working harder than anyone I’ve seen making all drinks in the bar. Without Sydney our experience would have been diminished.“
“Addison was THE BEST! His knowledge of the menu was impeccable, his personality made the entirety of our experience, and he is an all around a GEM! We were celebrating my sister in laws birthday and he was the perfect addition to our evening. 10/10 recommend!! the only interesting thing was the wellness charge ? That was a new one.“
“Best barbacoa in town! It's hard to stop eating anything on the menu because the flavor is on point. Family owned/operated as far as I can tell and staff is always friendly.Parking: The parking lot is usually full but there is also street parking right off of it. Nice sidewalk on the opposite side of the street.Kid-friendliness: Outdoor space is great. Turf area for the kiddos to roll around on.“
“KG bbq gets 5 stars from me on the strength of their pork ribs and brisket rice bowl. The ribs were tender and flavorful, all the things you want out of pork ribs. The brisket rice bowl was generous with the meat and we love to see it. I also got the chicken, which was dry and the baladi salad, which while good wasn’t extraordinary. I’d definitely go back to try the Egyptian cowboy. Service was fine, again nothing extraordinary. Atmosphere is what you’d expect with a food truck.“
“I'm Haitian/Cuban Brooklynite and I've been looking for a place in Austin that will help with my Caribbean cravings for aLOOOOOOOOONG 6 years and WOW this place was definitely worth that wait. The flavors are layered, the meat is juicy and succulent the sauce is spectacular. The plantains and fries are fresh and crispy. You can tell that they care about the quality of their food. Now let's talk about presentation, just because they are food truck doesn't mean that they skimp on the visuals. I'm highly impressed and will definitely be back. So so so happy I found this gem ?“
“Perfectly prepared Seafood, comfortable but elegant ambiance, and a great location. A nice high end but low-key spot right near the iconic Austin music spot, Antone’s.The kind crab was perfectly cooked. The braised greens had the subtlest kiss of Serrano pepper. It is seafood with a whisper of the south. The chef is James Beard award winning MASHAMA BAILEY of Savanah, so that makes a lot of sense. The vibe was relaxed but high-end.They bill this as a southern spot. I think it is more a seafood place with a whisper of the South (not to be confused with “Texan cuisine” a cousin but something entirely its own thing.)The restroom is hard to find - it is in the hotel lobby but they do not have good signage. It is buried in the back of a second elevator bank area. They have a neon sign in a different spot announcing that it is NOT the restroom - but nothing of its equal to show you where you should go / where it is.They set up shop diagonally across from Eddie V’s (seafood and chop house) which has been there for decades.Vegetarian options: This was the one area of real opportunity: there were very few options for a vegetarian / vegansDietary restrictions: Greedy for keto and gluten allergy folks!Parking: No garage. No street parking $15 for first 3 hours of valet.Kid-friendliness: Not a kid spot.Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible throughout“
“I can't recommend this place enough!!!! (As much as I want to gate-keep this place) This has been my partner and I's go to spot to take our friends here and visiting. The staff is amazing and passionate, the vibes are immaculate, and the food and drinks are top tier! From their brunch to dinner menu I swear it is all so good I haven't had anything I wouldn't order again. The Beignets ARE A MUST ORDER - trust me!!! Parking can be challenging but there is areas around to park at that have been easy - be prepared to have a cute neighborhood stroll before having the best meal.“
“Jamya was our server, and she was truly AMAZING. Seldomly do you go somewhere where the waitress is so positive, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu, but she knocked it out of the park. Great food, great atmosphere, but the BEST server!“
“When I was an actual college student this place scared me, it looked old and it didn’t seem like it’d match my alt/whatever vibe but now that I’ve started coming here I wish I could go back to my younger self and slap em.This place is good, like surprisingly so. I’ve never been disappointed with the food or… the beer. They have an incredible selection of beer at a good price, a price college students back then and today can afford. The grilled cheese is amazing, and it’s a little known secret… but the vegan dog, let’s just say if you’re vegan/vegetarian they surprisingly have a good selection of food for ya. It’s bar vegan food but it’s damn good. The staff really makes this place even better. From the bartenders to staff they bring personality that ya don’t find much anymore, it’s a real neighborhood bar despite being tailored to the UT crowd. You’ll find a mix of folks who’ve been coming here since the 80/90s and fresh turned 21 year olds. It’s a great place to watch the Texas game on Saturdays and nfl on Sundays, and apparently they’re a west ham bar on Saturdays when the EPL is on.Whether you’re visiting Austin as a UT Alum from the 90s or a 21 year old current student, I recommend this place as a good, still affordable spot to grab food, drink and have yourself a good timeVegetarian options: They have a veggie burger and veggie dog which are very good, never had any salads here so can’t speak on that“
“Always great food, great service. We keep coming back for more since Pinthouse opened on Burnet Road. My only suggestion would be to install some acoustic treatments to reduce noise when the restaurant is busy. Otherwise, PHP is stellar!Vegetarian options: Good salads for veg and gluten free.“
“Kai is the man! That food was beyond delicious. Korean fried chicken and katsu were both perfectly crispy crunchy. Amazing flavor with or without the sauce offered. Don't sleep on the Mac salad either... Everything was phenomenal. I'm not even hungry and already plan on coming back for dinner.“
“We brought our little pup here and there was so many outdoor seating option.Multiple food trucks in the back. Super easy to order and browse options. We went with Miga’s and enjoyed our tacos! The tacos were PACKED and the tortillas were ??“
“It's great, it's pet friendly, excellent food, and chill staff.I had their Reuben sandwich, The pastrami is smoked the cut and very flavorful, couldn't taste the sauerkraut (excellent place to try a Reuben for first timers), The rye bread is very mild and slightly sweet very unique spiral pattern and delicious. Wife had the pretzel, ? she wasn't that hungry but said the beer cheese sauce and ground mustard was delicious. She made me try the last bite of pretzel, it was slightly sweet which was interesting and appreciated, but dipped in their cheese beer sauce was next level. Their flavor combinations just hit different in the best way.Wife had the American lager as she's prefers Coors & Miller lite, I went with their dark lager which was bold yet smooth. Definitely appreciate the realistic ABV levels so you can do something with the rest of your day lol. They're green tea jello shots are actually pretty tasty and fun to order if you're celebrating something.Definitely a bring your own friends place, Not somewhere I would advise the single ready to mingle crowd. But if you got some good people with you you're guaranteed to have a good time here. Can definitely recommend.Parking: Parking is off 5th Street, behind the building. They have their own lot (Yes you can enter directly from the parking lots as well).Google maps will take you to the front of the building though. (Which there are a couple of spots and a couple of handicap spots only, there is also a 10 ft double-sided bike rack)Do not attempt to park anywhere else in the front or businesses beside it they will tow.(Cesar Chavez and the streets connecting between 5th are all both directions, so it doesn't matter how you get there if you will get there)“
“One of my favorite places to go with my husband to relax and have coffee and a donut's. I go about once a week. People are so nice a welcoming say have a great day and welcome something a lot of places lack in doing this days. Keep up the good “
“Can’t beat the Wednesday and Saturday special of 1/4 lbs burger, fries and soda for $7.49. Swear the burger is bigger than a 1/4. Pineapple shake is bomb. Line moves quick standing or driving. Pro-tip is to walk there or park there and walk over to auditorium shores for a picnic.“
“I am unsure as to a review of Qi as a vegan. Nothing is marked vegan on the menu, although our waitress said there were a few things that could be made vegan. We were told the fried & steamed dumplings, scallion pancake, and tofu/rice dish were all vegan, but Im just not sure as our waitress seemed a bit confused at times would really be nice to mark items as vegan on the menu, especially for allergy sensitivities. I did think everything was delicious though and very creative.“
“Great place for kids!!This place was recommended to us by a friend and we decided to stop in on a random Wednesday to check it out. The property is a bit far (we are based in NW Austin), but it is beautiful. It has ample outdoor seating - I would keep this in mind if the weather isn't awesome... not as much indoor. However, if the weather is beautiful, outdoor is the way to go.We are always looking for places to go to entertain our toddler and this fits the bill. Playscape for him, food for everyone, and drinks for mom and dad. Keep in mind the play scape isn't closed in, so keep an eye on the littles, they could run out. I only mention this because knowing this fact is important to me, but definitely not a ding on this place.“
“An absolute vibe! The downtown Austin view is everything and the service is amazing. We snacked on the Tuna Wonton Tacos and they were so fresh and delicious. I love an old fashioned and it was made very well. This is a must to enjoy while in downtown Austin.“
“I ordered a day in advance for pickup at a specific time. I was running late so I called to change the pickup time. They said the pizzas had just gone into the oven. I told them I understood and would still pick them up later. They called me back a few minutes later to say not to worry; they would make fresh pizzas to be picked later! When we got there our pizzas were just coming out of the oven, and they double-cut them for us. The regular slices of their large pizzas are really big. If you're feeding a lot of people with a selection of pizzas (we ordered seven of the "tried and true" pizzas for 20+ people) it's a good idea to have the pizzas cut into more slices so people can sample different ones.Parking: This place is so popular that the parking lot is not large enough so you may have to wait for a spot.“
“I have been coming here for dinner and brunch since it’s inception and it doesn’t matter what day and what time, orwhether it is crowded or not, whether you sit inside or out, the standard of excellence is held up each time. Every time rather.“
“The BISCUITS!!! They are just so good! If you like biscuits, this is a must try place. They are baked to perfection! Not only are you eating a biscuit, but it’s a biscuit in the form of a sandwich. Could that get any better!?When visiting, there is a kiosk outside where you place your order. Once your order is ready, you will pick it up at the window. For this visit, I had the Bird Bird Bacon! What was really nice was that when placing my order at the kiosk, I was able to select what kind of egg I’d like, and items I would like to add or remove. Very easy to order the sandwich to my preference. The sandwich was delicious, and kept me full until late in the day.I highly recommend! I can’t wait to come back, and try the Firebird Chicken sandwich.“
“The corn tortillas were better than any I’ve ever had. The salsa was fresh, still hot, literally saw them pouring it out of the blender. They only do pastor on Saturday, but the rest of the menu was to die for as well. They said they constantly rotate for whatever is in season. I believe this is the best taco joint in Austin right now and will easily win the argument with anyone by having them go there once and then watch them join the team!“
“The tacos are incredible here. The tortillas are also made fresh each time you order. I had al pastor & barbacoa. Both were so delicious! The meats have really great flavor. I’ve only been here once but I’d definitely return.Found this spot on Yelp’s 2022 list of Top 100 Taco Spots in the USA. It was ranked 89!“
“We made a pit stop at the Salty Sow on our way from the airport to Georgetown, TX for the ellipse viewing. Nothing was disappointing. From the shrimp hush puppies to the duck fat fries and the charcuterie board, no morsel of food was spared. Our party of 6 including 4 year old toddlers also sampled burgers, the shaved beef sandwich and the tacos and everything came out quick, fresh and delicious. We saved the best for last with the raspberry pound cake. I'm a true Southern girl and I normally don't try pound cake unless it's made from my kitchen. But this one was worth it ... They didn't cut corners with Sara Lee. Lol.I'd definitely give this place another go when I return to Austin. Food was amazing, ambience was wonderful and the service was superb.Kid-friendliness: We were seated outside which has table top seating which might not be as great for kids who are just really learning how to balance themselves outside of. High chair. My for year olds did fine but just something to not.“
“Love this place! Such a cool vibe, great drinks and fun atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and bartenders know how to make the BEST Espresso Martinis! Go see Branton at The Cauldron, he is our favorite and will take such great care of you!“
“Wild Austin Vibe with Great Pizza and a Wonderful Pear SaladVegetarian options: There are several veggie pizza offerings and I really enjoyed the Pear Salad which is VegetarianWheelchair accessibility: I didn't use a Wheelchair but I remember that you could go straight to the doors and into the restaurant“
