On a recent visit to Austin, we decided to check out Oakmont Food Company, based on existing OpenTable reviews and were excited to see what they had to offer. We arrived about 5:15 and the place was nearly empty. We sat at the bar and ordered a round of drinks - I had the "Strawberry Fields" and she had the "Lavendar Martini" - both drinks were EXQUISITE. Food was awesome. You better watch out though, if you park in the parking lot behind this building, which clearly looks like it is parking for this place, you will get booted. There’s a lady in a red Malibu that is constantly watching for people who park in this parking lot.

Food is always amazing! Scratch kitchen fresh!!Their pupusas are so good, I can't NOT get them. Service is good and the vibe is really cozy, almost farmhouse-y. Very cute spot with great food. There's even a little play area for kids outside.
