What an awesome place. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. My wife and I drive to Lake Charles on a regular basis just for crawfish. Nothing west of Louisiana compares in Texas until we found Pops. We have tried numerous places just to be disappointed. We were greeted immediately with smiles. It felt like we were already friends. Big crawfish; perfect simple boil. The crawfish is really competitively priced. The seasoning is simple, a bit salty/spicy that complements the various parts of the shellfish; no butter or anything like that. Service is friendly and patient.

In a bad year for crawfish when none of the usual stores in central Texas had it, especially with Sunday pickup, we almost resorted to a lowly shrimp boil. Pops Crawfish came through big with some of the biggest and baddest crawfish I’ve ever bought. Good price (all things considered), great people, and a fantastic quality. Only 9 dead out of two sacks on a Sunday is a big win. I’ll never trust our annual crawfish boil to anyone else.
