Came here several times during my childhood and stopped by a few months ago. I'm so glad I did! I enjoyed talking to the waitress. The food is true, authentic southeast central Texas barbecue- if you want the fancy bells and whistles, just go to Austin. I would like to emphasize "authentic"... this is the OLDEST restaurant in BCS, therefore the amenities are NATURALLY going to reflect that! This was a place we stopped for brisket on the way home from the Coast. I enjoyed the old diner atmosphere. The food was pretty good. It was priced at a great value. That was very Appreciated.

Martins BBQ has been around since I was a child and I am 67 now. It had the best BBQ then and still does. My daughter and I went last weekend and it was the best as always. Love it and we will be going back, for sure. I recommend highly.
