“Went here predominantly for the catfish, which was good. Ended up ordering some fried okra, which were delicious - Crispy and flavorful. The gumbo was very good as well.The Shrimp were not that great and completely avoidable.The service was sharp and our server was pleasant and helped us navigate the menu.“

“Oh my GOSH !! Had not been to Z Tejas in years. What a comeback of a Brand ! Went on a Sunday Noon, Awesome entertainment, the service was over the top always with a smile. The Margaritas were tasty, made to order, with a huge selection ! The food was over the top ! Try the Catfish Beignets for an app ! Whew ! As close to New Orleans as yo can get ! What a great relaxed space, very comfortable, and feels like a neighborhood gathering spot ! Much needed in the South I-35 corridor.“

“The food was delicious but took forever and they had us take a seat in a closed section and we had to wait until a waiter noticed us so that was upsetting.However, our waiter was apologetic, professional, funny and so welcoming the experience totally changed.Thank you to him and sorry I forgot your name but when I go back I will ask you and edit this post with your name on it. They need more waiters like you for sure.“

“Ohhhh nice. Caught us off guard. Great atmosphere. Friendly service. Possibly the best Cajun cooking we've tried. Shrimp and grits were epic. Red beans and rice were full of flavor. Had a decent beer selection. Top notch restaurant. Must try.“
