“This was the first time we had been to O'Brien's and what a marvelous hidden gem it was. We were greeted by Pat O'Brien who was so delightful. He made some recommendations for wine pairing and the main course that turned out to be spot on. My husband and I had the special of the evening which was Halibut with a scrumptious sauce that was cooked to perfection. It literally melted in my mouth. Pat also recommended the Basil Vinaigarette with our salad which again was amazing. Can't wait to go back.“

“Went for breakfast on a whim with my wife and chose Magnolia Pancake House. Best coffee we've had since the Hawaiian coffee at Dukes in Waikiki. Chose the Magnolia house breakfast with pecan pancakes. This was our second visit and must say it was definitely worth the morning drive. Totally recommend any of their locations. We have been to the one on 1604 and this last visit was at the Huebner location.“

“This was our last nights dinner in San Antonio and it was the best. We were seated right away, and our waiter Mark was there promptly. We ordered drinks and my wife's drink wasn't quite right. She usually doesn't say anything and just drinks it. When Mark was on his way past (He had a large group in a private room as well) He stopped and said that drink is not right let me have them fix it. That is the mark of an outstanding waiter. The rest of the meal was delicious as was the bread pudding we split for desert. It was raining and chilly so the Hostess got a van to come down and take us back to the JW. This was our best dining experience of the week. We will be back and highly recommend this restaurant. Ask for Mark. He has been there for 13 years and knows customer service.“

“My fiance treated me to a night at JW Marriott as part of my Christmas gift on December 23rd. When we checked in, we were given a coupon that allowed us to get two free beers or glasses of houses wine from any of the bars. We decided to get a beer at High Velocity. The place has a casual feel with many TVs throughout, all of them displaying a game. The biggest TVs are above the bar, and they have ticker below them showing the scores of other games. The server greeted us soon after we were seated. We both ordered a hopadillo. The drinks came out shortly after that. The place seemed fun, so my fiance and I decided that we would come here for lunch the next day. The following day, we showed up shortly after 11. Once again, we were seated immediately. It is important to note at this point that these were special hours for the holiday. I looked up the hours, and it looks like they normally open at 5. The server once again greeted us shortly after we were seated. We ordered more Hopadillos to drink. I ordered the Extra Hot wings, and my fiance ordered the nachos. I am always skeptical when a restaurant says the food is spicy. I have seen too many restaurants that did not live up to the claim. I am happy to announce that High Velocity was able to back up their Extra Hot claim. My fiance also enjoyed her nachos. There is an area on the other side of the bar that has two golf simulators. I suggest this place for good food and service. It would be a great place to watch a game.“

“The baby back ribs were tender, crusty and sweet with tons of meat. The fried fish was corn meal breaded with a light lemon taste. It was a very large filet, and very tasty. Not fishy at all. The sliced bbq sandwich was stacked high with tender brisket. We had all of this served to us within 15 minutes of ordering. Our server was professional and very attentive. “I have now been to the IHOP on Singing Oaks in Spring Branch Texas 4 times. I was waiting for them to open this site for months, as I have always liked IHOP, but this one is setting a new standard for EXCELLENCE! Every time has been superb service and the food is DELICIOUS! All of the staff is friendly and helpful, and it is a joy to watch teamwork in action. Two servers stand out as EXTRAORDINARY -- Rosabella and Kelly. “I eat at this location all of the time because I work very close by, but today the team went far above and beyond helping my mother out for me. My mom can be a lot to handle and ask the wait staff for too much, but she can barely walk because of her knee, but they went out of their way to take great care of her. Bella was amazing and wouldn’t let me tip her too! The other waiter (forgot his name) went out of his way to get my mom a cup of coffee because she was freezing. For someone who works in sales and customer service this means so much to me. I’ve always liked this location, but now I really don’t mind spending have my paycheck eating there. 5 stars all around for this restaurant and staff.“
