My waitress did amazing, gave great recommendations, and never let my water drop too low. Octopus is one of those things that's hard to get right, but here, the ly did it. The hibachi was amazing. The sushi was fresh. Everything i had cost $30! If you feel hungry and in need of some really good Asian food, I highly recommend coming here. I don't visit many places more than once, but I WILL be coming here again.”

“We recently visited the newly opened Carmelita’s Kitchen in Cypress, and it quickly became a favorite! From the moment we stepped onto the cozy patio, we loved the inviting and charming atmosphere. Inside, the décor is well thought out, creating a warm and welcoming vibe.
Our server, Ana, was incredibly attentive and polite throughout the meal. We started with coffee and a delicious tray of shrimp taquitos — a perfect appetizer. The brunch menu is impressive, and we decided to try the chilaquiles and Baja tacos. Both dishes were beautifully presented and absolutely flavorful. Each bite was a treat — well-prepared without being overdone.
For those who enjoy spicy flavors, their salsas pack a great kick! We can’t wait to return and try more dishes and the cocktails. We highly recommend our Cypress neighbors to check out this little gem — it’s definitely worth a visit!”

“Awesome little place! Very clean inside & the service was great! This was my first time here with my brother. First, they brought us some of the best Boracho beans that I’ve ever had! And they also brought us homemade chips that are fried their daily and some sauces and little squeeze bottles. You can dip your chips in the Barracho beans and they are so so good! My brother ordered the chimichanga and it was huge! He couldn’t even finish it and he’s a big guy. His chimichanga had shredded beef in it. I ordered the chilaquillas with fajita chicken on them & they were so incredible! I was sad I couldn’t finish them all! The service was top notch & the food was amazing. I will DEFINITELY be back.”

My drink had the fruit flavored popping boba in it, but with just a normal straw you get the squishy membrane before the fruity flavor. I don't know if boba straws were available or not, but if all they have for drinks, especially the ones with boba, is a normal straw, they need to change that. Everything else was pretty good, but boba included drinks need boba straws”

Three toddlers got their food which came out right away, mom and dad got drinks, and we were made to feel welcome even though it was hard to keep the attention of young toddler children. Felix made it totally possible and was absolutely perfect (as best as it can be eating out with young children). We don't get out often but it's nice to get out every once in awhile. So grateful for the attentiveness and care with which we were shown.”

We get in line through the Tex-Mex insider app and it saves us time from having to wait. We wanted an outside table as it was gorgeous outside as fall has finally come to Texas. We were seated and Anthony was our server. He was attentive, personable and friendly. He was great about checking on us every few minutes. We ordered the shrimp empanadas as an appetizer. They were as delicious as usual. We were not in a hurry and we never felt rushed. We were content enjoying college football on the numerous screens around the bar. We ordered beef skirt fajitas and they did not disappoint. We will definitely be back and will request Anthony if he is available.”

“I have been coming to this China Wok since I was 5 or so. I'm now 29, and this is still my favorite spot for Chinese. It has set a standard of flavor, quality, quantity, and price for me regarding Chinese food. They are always ready to accommodate each order up to their ability, but I've never been told no to anything I requested. The quantity of food you get for the price is the best in town. The inside dining area is small with a couple of tables and chairs. I could go on and on, but it's best if you just try it. My favorite is the house special fried rice, with the add-on of shrimp, egg rolls, and wonton soup.”

“Best new restaurant in Cypress... Ta' Bueno Mexican Kitchen is fantastic and legit! (menu pics included at the end). Three of us chose dishes from the Street Foods section of the menu. I went with the Las Quekas - Lightly toasted blue corn tortillas filled with al pastor pork meat and cheese. Served with a side of charro beans, grilled onions, pico de gallo and salsa. We were off to a great start, it was all really good, even the charro beans were awesome. My son went with the Tacos de Birria - Tough cuts of beef meat are cooked until tender and juicy with flavorful chilies and Mexican spices. Served with pico de gallo on a lightly toasted corn tortillas and cheese, side of consomme, grilled onions and salsa. Pretty stellar stuff! My friend chose Pambazo - Pambazo is a Mexican dish or antojito made with pambazo bread dipped and fried in a red guajillo pepper sauce and filled with papas con chorizo, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and queso fresco. I had a bite and loved it as much as she did. My other friend had the Shrimp Tacos - 2 soft hand-made corn tortillas filled with grilled shrimp, shredded cabbage and chipotle creamy sauce. Served with black beans. We all agreed that this place is quite wonderful! We also had a Michelada with Modelo Especial and I had a house frozen margarita (the margarita are wine based or mpact) but still pretty good. Dessert, was some of the best flan I had in a long time. Perfect texture and flavor. We all definitely want to go back and try more, the flavor profiles are phenomenal here. Excellent warm sala made with fresh tomatoes. Thank you to Keri Ford and Ann Ford for recommending this place.”

For any management that may see this review, I highly recommend Sergio (was not provided a surname) for promotion. Great server! Go Sergio! The fact that I haven’t been to Denny’s in several years this was a great experience. Our chocolate pancake balls that we had as a snack were hot and fresh and super yummy. I told both managers on duty of this experiences.”

I had a very large drive thru order (over $70) which came out really quick with no mistakes. I forgot to order something and tried to go into the lobby which is when I saw the "understaffed, lobby closed" sign, so I went back into the drive thru. Nonetheless, I was very impressed at the staff's timeliness and professionalism despite their circumstances, they deserve a raise or a bonus.

“I went through the drive-thru I ordered my food I got my food hot I got my drink cold with ice very helpful very friendly lady at the drive-thru window. Today 12/15 after being in the car all day I was really looking forward to getting out of the car to eat in the restaurant and use the restroom. However when I got there UPS decided to park in the cross section of the handicap parking spaces, the width of his vehicle prevented me from being able to access the spaces. He was there to eat. This is uncalled for since it would prevent me or anyone else with a handicap from entering the restaurant. Next time this happens I will park in front of his truck and enter the restaurant and eat and take my time until the police arrive and ticket him. The 3 pictures of of his parking negligence. Seeing he only concerned about his self. The last picture is where he was and there were a car parked in the other spots besides the handicap parking spots, the space he was parked in would prevent someone in a wheelchair from getting out.
Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking spaces are available when someone doesn't park in the crosshatch space. I would restrip the spaces and enforce the parking lot. That's a hefty fine.”

The lady working the front counter (I think her name was Ging) fixed it very quickly for me and came to check on me later to make sure everything was good. I also ordered the chicken torta which I was not a fan of. Not sure but maybe it was the creamy cheese it in. Bread was good but overall it was very average.
They have nice picnic benches in a covered area which was great. Service was friendly and the lady taking orders understood English very well.
The food truck is in a parking lot so parking is mostly not an issue.”

One less star for consistency on drinks, they were ok some weak some strong. Maybe bartenders need a little more training/practice. Food choices are limited but is a bar mainly. I will visit again to see if they have improved.”

“I have been seeing this place pop up on my feed for a while with nothing but stellar reviews. I’m kind of a bbq snob so I had to go see what the hype was about. I am smoking a brisket today for Super Bowl Sunday, but for some reason the wife was craving a brisket sandwich. We piled our boys in the car, headed over and loaded up on Have Mercy BBQ. We ordered a brisket grilled cheese, a couple of sliced beef sandwiches, a brisket plate, and pretty much all of the sides they have to offer. The brisket was super moist and tender (I did order cut from the point) with a great bark and perfect smoke ring. The fat was rendered so well! The wife and my older son both went nuts for the sliced brisket sandwiches. My youngest said it was the best grilled cheese he’s ever eaten. Potato salad and Jalapeño cole slaw were great. The egg in the potato salad made it something between deviled egg and potato salad and the Cole slaw was crisp, sweet and tangy with a tiny hit of heat from fresh Jalapeño. The brisket was the star for sure. We like Corkscrew, Truth, Tejas, and all the best bbq spots. I will gladly rank this pit master among those at the top for Texas BBQ! My only regret is waiting so long to go try it.”

I stole my wife's crust handles to mop up some extra sauce and parmesan. We finished off with a Tiramisu and the limoncello cake and they were both amazing. “This place was amazing! We went for the first time and will definitely be back. The eggplant parm and spaghetti with meat sauce were both perfection. I got a lemon drop and espresso martini, which were both excellent. My husband got two aperol spritz and said they were the best he had ever had. The rooftop lounge had a very cool vibe with live music. We also got to meet the owner, Betsy, who was so sweet! Will definitely be back!”

When I went they had 3 beers on tap, the rest are from other local breweries. They have a good mix of beer for sure. I sampled their Amber and Pale Ale, both are very nice. “Tired of having to drive to Brother's Pizza for real pizza, I was excited to see this shop open up near my house. I went in and the place was empty. Nothing on the walls, no music, nothing... it was the most boring restaurant I've ever been to. But, I went for the food, not the atmosphere. I ordered a Greek salad and it was a good size. Nothing fancy but worth the low price. I also ordered a large cheese pizza. It was slightly undercooked and had about 2x the amount of cheese it needed. The crust was weird.. very dense and not fluffy. it's like the cook over worked the dough so it didn't rise properly. Then the pizza was cut into about 12 skinny slices, 6 would have been better. As someone who has made many pizzas I can tell these guys need some more practice. The best part of the pizza was the sauce. Not too sweet and had a good flavor. Did I like this place? Would I go back? Yes and yes... despite my minor criticisms it is still the best pizza in the area. Definitely beats Marcos, Howies, Pizza Hit, and Dominoes in quality and price. I'm confident the things I didn't like will all improve as the employees get more experience, provided the owner stays actively involved in the day to day operations. Give em a try if you are in the area.”

He left, and apparently went to his manager to ask about it because he was new, and I guess because I didn’t raise a stink, the manager sent over a $10 gift card for my next visit 😊 that was very thoughtful. “We always visit the Vintage park location but this time visited the 290 one. It was a week night so got seated right away. Service can definitely improve with hiring more attentive staff. Filet mignon turned out salty but otherwise food was decent. Bathroom stalls were very dirty and trash can was over flowing. The fact that it was a slow night, the manager / staff can atleast pay attention on keeping them clean. The chef that prepared our hibachi was very friendly and kept the kids on our table entertained.”

“Awesome little place! Very clean inside & the service was great! This was my first time here with my brother. First, they brought us some of the best Boracho beans that I’ve ever had! And they also brought us homemade chips that are fried their daily and some sauces and little squeeze bottles. You can dip your chips in the Barracho beans and they are so so good! My brother ordered the chimichanga and it was huge! He couldn’t even finish it and he’s a big guy. His chimichanga had shredded beef in it. I ordered the chilaquillas with fajita chicken on them & they were so incredible! I was sad I couldn’t finish them all! The service was top notch & the food was amazing. I will DEFINITELY be back.”

Three toddlers got their food which came out right away, mom and dad got drinks, and we were made to feel welcome even though it was hard to keep the attention of young toddler children. Felix made it totally possible and was absolutely perfect (as best as it can be eating out with young children). We don't get out often but it's nice to get out every once in awhile. We get in line through the Tex-Mex insider app and it saves us time from having to wait. We wanted an outside table as it was gorgeous outside as fall has finally come to Texas. We were seated and Anthony was our server. He was attentive, personable and friendly. He was great about checking on us every few minutes. We ordered the shrimp empanadas as an appetizer. They were as delicious as usual. We were not in a hurry and we never felt rushed. We were content enjoying college football on the numerous screens around the bar.
