“Due to power outage at our hotel we ended up going to this delightful Diner. The manager was extremely accommodating to our group and reserved their side room. Everything was excellent from the food to the service. They had a wide assortment of delicious food including appetizers of homemade donut holes the were mouth watering. “We were greeted with a friendly smile and received wonderful service! The waitresses Dawn and Jodie were so nice and helpful! On top of receiveing great service the food was delicious! I got the Nettie's homemade chicken salad which I highly recommend!! My husband got the fish and enjoyed the flavor of it. My kids shared a hamburger and the plate was wiped cleaned! So if your in the area please stop by and you will get a tasty homemade meal and enjoy the conversations with the waitresses on staff!“

“This restaurant is way undervalued. The BEST Mexican food I have had in a long time. Service was great, generous portions. I had the shrimp quesadilla and wasn't disappointed. Doesn't look fancy from the outside, but I'll make sure I go there next time I am in Tyler! You should check it out.“

“UPDATE FROM MY 1ST REVIEW OF POTPOURRI HOUSE FROM 5 YEARS AGO... We were so excited to come back to Tyler for a visit and find that The Potpourri House was open. It had been updated and made more trendy, and although we missed the pretty water fountain inside the eating area (the sound of the fountain ⛲️ was calming) we liked the new updates.I had the portobello mushroom soup, Strawberry salad and chicken salad sandwich trio which was absolutely ?! The soup had lots of mushrooms and had a great flavor. My daughter had the French dip sandwich and fries. The sandwich was piled high with tender meat and served with au joux to dip it in. We had the spiced tea again and although it seemed a little sweeter than last time, I simply asked our nice waitress to put a bit of regular unsweetened tea in with the spiced tea and it was perfect.After lunch, we of course went to walk around the beautiful shop. The ladies were very friendly and it was fun seeing all the colorful earrings, dresses, etc.This is one of our favorite places in Tyler.1st REVIEW FROM 5 YEARS AGO... “We enjoyed The Little Buddy which is 3 fried shrimp and 3 catfish filets. You get fries, coleslaw, pinto beans, and hush puppies. It's a great value. Our server was really great! They have great unsweetened tea. I recommend this restaurant chain.Parking: Restaurant is on a divided highway with barriers. You may need to make a u-turn or two to get there.“

“Our first time to visit the new Tyler, TX location. We had the six oz filet with a baked potato, sautéed mushrooms, and steamed broccoli. They served a small loaf of bread and butter before the meal, which was very tasty. It was a nice lunch.Parking: There is plenty of free parking around the restaurant.“

“I had the most wonderful experience here.Everyone was nice and sweet to me, a lot of establishments have employees that do not know how to respect others, the lady at the front was excellent I got a great seat by the bar, nothing but good things to say about walk-ons.“

“Lily is the absolute best waitress. She had our butter bread rolls & honey butter ready for us upon arrival. Smiles as she's consistently carrying stacks & stacks of used plates. Restacking supplies. Cleaning tables. Refilling drinks. Very friendly and personable. I hope she gets a promotion b/c every time I come here, she's always bustin her butt to help get things done. I left her a $5 origami tip in hopes to brighten her day just as much as she brightens ours when we visit. Oh, and the food is pretty good too ?“

The main parking lot in front of the restaurant is always full, but there is another lot right next to it that's mostly empty.Wheelchair accessibility: You can roll right up to your table.“

“Stopped here for breakfast on my way out of town. I immediately noticed that a lot of the breakfast menu had 3 egg plates with any kind of meat you want. I had the ribeye, eggs, toast and coffee. Discounts for seniors, there are many options on menu for everyone. Nice friendly wait staff made sure we were taken care of. Thanks!“

“This place is pretty good 8/10I'm not to into Mexican food so don't bully me that I ordered the hamburger, but it was probably better than some actual burger places.Now to make this fair the family I was there with said it wasn't bad food and would give it a 8/10.The service wasn't bad either, they were kind and got the food out pretty fast.
