“What a great place for dinner! We were seated at the outside tables with our dog and they even got him a water cup. Our server Alexandria was fantastic and very knowledgeable. She truly went above and beyond to accommodate us and even got my husband a free dessert for his birthday!Coming to the food, the taco salad was very tasty. But man the complimentary chips and salsa was out of the world! Hands down one of the best salsas we’ve had in a long time!!!! If they’d package and sell that salsa, we would buy bottles of it!! “When I heard Los Compos closed, I was so bummed. That charming restaurant in the house, tucked away from the main roads and just incredibly delicious. But luckily Lupita’s is carrying on with their greatness. I learned that many of the same people that worked at Los Compos are now there, so they’re bringing their greatness with them. $5.99 breakfast burritos that keep you filled up until dinner. Can’t beat it.“
“Clean, reasonably priced, and delicious food! Breakfast ends at 11. We were a tad disappointed but only till we received our lunch! We had the beef fajita tacos on flour - delicious! Great flavor and big chunks of meat. We shared snd were full. The small queso and guacamole aren’t tiny. We had more than enough for two. Loved the thin, homemade flour tortillas! Guacamole was freshly made. Chips were toasted and the salsa verde was awesome but too spicy for me. We had tea and water but saw some huge micheladas being served on our way out. We’ll go again for breakfast. Very clean, bright and inviting. Annie was one of our two waitresses, both impeccable with timing and refills on tea, water & chips. Go see them!“

“We moved back to Galveston almost a month ago, and we are so glad to have found Nopalero! The breakfast burritos are delicious, love the bacon they use and the chorizo hasn't bee na greasy red addition- all of our food has always tasted so fresh. Their tortillas and red salsa are so good that I have bought some to go a couple of times. Their taco salad is also delicious. The family works the restaurant, and 10/10 you should give them a try, they've been so kind, their food has been so good and they really want to make this place a success.“
“The brisket is delicious. I tried the tamales some of the best tamales I've had in a long time. They have banana pudding today and that was really good too. I definitely definitely recommend this place. Especially for the brisket and tamales.“
