“Mimo has easily become our favorite Italian dining experience. From the moment we walked in to our reservation we were greeted with a smile, true professionals. Our server went above and beyond, offered recommendations and really took care of us. The food was impeccable you can taste the quality of the made from scratch dishes, and the portions were perfect. We sat in the patio on a beautiful Sunday evening we shared a few appetizers including Fritters, the crochette, my daughter had the gnocchi, and my wife and I shared the costasa (ribeye). Everything was delicious, thank you to the kind staff at Mimo.“

“This tiny pizzeria is incredible! The service is terrific, and the simple, but trendy decor feels comfortable and familiar. Their drink menu is also large enough to accommodate most wine, beer or cocktail tastes. The lunchtime pizzas are a thin crust flatbread style that rocks!!! They also offer a personal size pizza and salad combo that's a great smaller option. Dinner and happy hour choices include appetizers and large trasditipnal pizzas. Dishes are priced at about $14-20 and drinks are from $3 (beer) up. This is a really great neighborhood pizzeria. I'll be back!“

“Tiny Champions should be in everyone's rotation of go to restaurants. Not too fancy and stuffy while still being inventive and putting out food that is nuanced. We always pick two familiar dishes and get two new ones whenever we go out there. This time it was the Greens Pizza (the fanciest Cici's spinach pizza) and the braised butter beans for the familiar dishes. One note is reading braised butter beans on a menu may not sound the most appealing but it is consistently the most flavorful dish you will have there. The beans are really savory/creamy and there are crunchy croutons for a textural contrast. They also get some acid in there for a really good balanced bite. The new dishes this go around were the fried quail and the baked feta. The fried quail tasted like some of the best Korean fried chicken you could have. My only issue with that dish is that I need way more of it, like a whole bucket of it with a gallon of their fancy ranch. The baked feta was good, but not something I'd order again. Just not as flavorful as everything else.“

“My favorite pizza spot in Houston. Their pizzas are wood fired which absolutely makes the pizza taste a hundred times better than regular pizza. Their decor is unique and creative and the food is incredible. I believe this is a family business, the staff is very nice and attentive and don’t forget to try their Nutella pizza for dessert it is a must if you go to this amazing place!“

“Good size for a $4.25 slice of pizza! We got chicken bacon ranch and pesto chicken, it was great! We had to wait twenty or so minutes for it but it came out hot and fresh. Unfortunately, got a citation since they only have street parking so be careful and pay attention to the signs. Besides that, will be returning!“

You will need to make sure you get a receipt from the restaurant with a QR code that you will need to scan at the parking meter. “We have lived in northside for a couple of years; we now regret having waited so long to try Rocco's. It was delightful. The porch was pleasant, the bathrooms were clean, and, most importantly, the food was tasty. Our son enjoyed the kids pizza (it's big) and we tried two pasta dishes. The tiramisu was a delight too. “I'll start by saying I ordered through Grubhub. My final price for my meal was a little over $52. I changed my mind twice about ordering one meal for one person at that price but I was hungry. I am a OTR Truckdriver. I was parked at a Truckstop and I don't eat Mickey D's (McDonald's). So anyway, I ordered a 10" pizza which really would have been enough. I also ordered the almost $20 lasagna. I am not a connoisseur of pizza but I must say my taste buds were very much satisfied. Now for this $20 lasagna. For my taste, it was very good and very satisfying. The portion size was larger than I expected. With that being said the price was understandable and for me very much worth it. It was an 8" personal pizza which filled me up, perfectly baked with generous toppings, and a tasty crust which was not too large or too chewy. “We stayed at a hotel and the desk clerk recommended King Pizza and had some coupons. I was skeptical but we like to try new places. The food was very good. The pizza, salad, wings, lasagna, fried mushrooms, and garlic bread were some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Papa John’s was my favorite before. “3.5 to be exact. Breakfast was chicken and waffles which was decent. Waffles were very good and the fried chicken was decent. The next day back for their patty melt. Just ok. The bread looked like white bread (Texas Toast) instead of the expected classic and flavorful rye bread. The onions and cheese were a melted mess without distinct flavor. Overall a miss especially at this price but still was consumed. Both days the "server" was hardly there, strange considering the low low table count. The atmosphere was under construction with no obvious work in progress. However there was a sign on the door apologizing. Given they are walking distance from George Brown convention center and the expensive Hilton with a $30 plus drink breakfast, District 7 is missing an opportunity by not opening earlier (now 10am) to entice some of those thousands of people over for a simple breakfast plate or waffles. I had asked the Hilton front desk for something like this diner but District 7 was closed at 7 am and was not mentioned.“

We didn't go in person so I can't comment on the dining experience itself, but the pizza and pasta were well made and flavorful. “Full disclosure I'm from Jersey and a self-professed pizza snob. I've had pizza in Houston several times over the last few years and it's just not good. When we ordered from here I had my reservations but it was a new place that we've never tried so why not. We were feeding 30 people as we were down here for a robotics competition at GRB. We had 15 pizzas several orders of wings and salads. We were all quite happy with all of the food. I do think the staff is a little overwhelmed on such a large order so late in the evening but they handled it very well. Definitely will return here on subsequent trips to Houston. We have a few vegetarians that we were traveling with and the margarita and veggie pesto pies were outstanding. Also don't sleep on the wings here. The garlic parmesan wings were some of the best I've ever had, lots of flavor and absolutely crispy. Well done Pizza Zquare!“

“My Family has been going here since they opened...2007! I actually can't believe I have never done a review. This is a Family owned place. They accommodate their regulars to the highest. They love new people and welcome them. It is a little untouched gem in our area. You can go there watch a game, get a beer, wings, etc and get the "Cheers" type service. Everyone will know your name. The pizza is so good. I actually ask for extra crispy on my crust. Just preference. The wings are so good. They have lots of sauce options. The other food is good. It's really a diverse menu. All in all. Right now when you feel a little like you need a homey feel when you go out and safe clean place; please consider this place. We came here today to watch college football and the atmosphere is just so cool. Don't we all need that right now. Come visit Jean and Phil! Oh and Sarah and Shannon(great bartenders)! “My favorite chain pizza at the moment but it seems like the bean counters have already infiltrated. Their prices are not the lowest and I would expect a higher quality pizza every time which isn't the case, but most of the time it's good. I've ordered one of their inexpensive sale pizzas and that's exactly what it was, cheap pizza. I've ordered many specialty pizzas and they were excellent but not cheap.“

“It was Sunday when we ate here. There is a very popular buffet, but we decided to order off the menu. We ordered salads and garlic cheese bread as an appetizer. The salads came in a very timely manner, but we had to ask 2 different people 3 different times before we managed to get the bread. I'm sure the kitchen was struggling to keep the buffet stocked and we didn't mind having to ask the first time. By the time we received the bread, the server felt so bad that he offered us a free dessert. That was a lovely apology and much appreciated. “We hosted a bar tab here for a welcome event the night before our wedding and they went absolutely above and beyond. They blocked off some tables outside for us, printed some special signs and moved their regularly scheduled karaoke inside in case it got too loud (our guests loved the karaoke, it was a super fun activity to add to our event). They had asked in the run-up to the event if there were any special labels they could buy or drinks they could prepare, and wound up bringing us some bottles of champagne during the peak of the event, which was a really nice touch. They clearly understood the special nature of the night, were very considerate and wanted to make the evening fun for everyone. They were also very communicative in letting us know how the tab was going and when we got close to the amount we were capping the tab at. Overall, we really couldn't have asked for a more perfect night to kick off our wedding weekend. Joe was super helpful and we are so happy we chose this bar for our event. We'll definitely be coming here more often!“

“Me and my family went and had some wings on Tuesday and some random guy unprovoked payed for our meal, literally never talked to him and he went out of his way to pay for us so 10/10 for the community that the time outs bring to anywhere they are located.
