“Arguably the best food experience in the greater Houston area. Exciting and delicious! An open mind is all you need! What an amazing evening! Chef and the staff are incredible! Do yourself a favor folks. And it’s even better with friends!“
“I've passed by T-Bone Tom's countless times but never stopped in. We were looking for somewhere "new" for us, so we tried T-Bones, and I am so glad we did. This place makes you feel right at home, it's family friendly, and the food is FANTASTIC! You can eat in or out under the paloopa where there's a live band.“
“Great local eatery serving delicious breakfast. It really hit the spot on a cool spring break morning after doing some fishing down the street. Service was prompt and attentive too. Highly recommend this local establishment that looks like they've been perfecting their menu for a long time. Pancakes were huge and fluffy with my scrambled eggs to order and thick bacon. My son bragged on their coffee which was actually quite smooth and savory. Awesome value! Keep up the good work Skipper.“
“It’s a nice locally owned, come as you are bar. Places like this are getting harder to find nowadays. When they have music on the back patio and the outside bar open, it’s nice, overlooks the bayou. Lots of wildlife. If you want more action go inside. Usually a local band or DJ and almost always folks dancing. Drink prices are some of the best around“
“My Husband and I had Our 23rd Anniversary Dinner this evening and Our Experience was Absolutely Amazing!!!! From the time we Entered the Restaurant til the Friendly Anniversary Well Wishes. Our Waiter was David. He was Very Kind, Professional, Attentive, Concerned, Friendly and Thoughtful! We Never had to ask for anything because he was consistently checking in on Us to see if we Wanted or Needed Anything. Here is where He Went Above and Beyond for Me as a Customer. We asked for To-go Containers (4). When he came to bring them, he had his serving try, the containers and bags. He offered to put Our Food in the containers! I was So Impressed with that because out of my almost 57yrs of eating out, No One has EVER done that! I asked him if he could get a Manager for me, he simply said "Yes Ma'am". Now I'm more than sure he thought something was wrong....but it wasn't. The Manager, John came to our table asking was everything ok. I said to him, "Everything was Perfect. David was Absolutely Remarkable in serving us this evening"! May I also acknowledge two other employees of the restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn't get their names, but it's really the little things that I pay attention to when I'm out for a meal! We were sitting there and the young lady (waitress) passed by us, back stepped and asked if someone had served us yet (David had already taken care of our drink order and appetizer). The fact that she just acknowledged us just sitting there, not knowing, but yet concerned if someone had served us.... Pretty Amazing Young Lady (that really Mattered). The next person I would like to acknowledge is a young man (a different waiter, not assigned to us), passed by and saw My Husband Struggling to get a picture of us. He stopped and offered to take the picture for us! How Thoughtful and Considerate is that!!! Friendliness and Kindness goes a long way to me these days. We live in a very busy world and I've never worked in the environment of being a Host or Hostess (I don't think I have the Personality for it). However, I do Respect the Hustle of it All and I Pay Attention to those who Pay Attention to Me! Dinner at Saltgrass this evening Was The Best Experience I've Ever Had in a Restaurant....EVER! John, your staff that we encountered this evening, Deserve a Standing Ovation (a Raise, a Day Off, a Longer Break, a Gift Card .. something to let them know that Today (on My Anniversary) They Are Appreciated.....And the Food was Great Too (Fried and Grilled Shrimp, Fried Mushrooms, Broccoli with Cheese, Salad and My Husband ordered an Alcoholic Beverage)! Thanks Again David, You Are an Awesome Young Man and We Really Appreciated Your Service This Evening!?“
“Love Jackie's!My Girlfriend introduced me to Jackie's 2 years ago, and I look forward to visiting here when we come back down to visit her Kingdom from Dallas.I love the Crawfish, and highly recommend it!Fun atmosphere and great place to visit with friends and family.Updated review to reflect most recent visit April 2024.“
“Went there on January 1st. This place was dead. Not a soul in sight. The server was wonderful. Greeted me with a smiling face and took care of everything I needed. Food was delicious and bountiful. Prices are fair for what you get, and it was fairly clean in the dining room. Good spot to get breakfast/lunch.“
“Neat restaurant with an aquarium inside a round inner column tank. Although large, the fish are too, so you only see 15 or so: Fish, eel, spotted tiger shark. I think in a way a table outdoors may have been more interesting with a view of the water and live music outside at the boardwalk. The food was better than I expected since I went in with a lower bar due to previous reviews.Gluten free: salmon Caesar salad (no croutons), side of gf fries. They don’t have a gluten free menu but a server was pretty knowledgeable on the subject and helped me decide. This was the best meal I had while in Houston. The staff was friendly and they weren’t busy. You can reserve a table in the Open Table app but don’t bother with notes or celebrations as they were ignored.Food took longer than expected but was very good (except the calamari).“
“My wife and I go to this Chili's a few days a month the food is always very good, and we enjoy the variety of menu items. This time we ordered the "New Philly Cheesesteak" sandwiches. I'm actually writing this as an extremely positive letter of recognition for our server this past Sunday 11/19/23 {2:00pm}, a young man named Chris Garcia. From the time that he greeted us at the table, with his beautiful smile, and caring demeanor, we were impressed. Throughout our meal he seemed to check back with us at appropriate times {not being a bother at all}, but instead to make sure our dining experience was going well. It was during these times we got to talk with him, and this is when his outgoing personality, his thoughtfulness, and good humor shined brightly. He definitely is an asset to this restaurant, and we would not be surprised if some day he moves up the corporate ladder and teaches/trains courses to "Newby's" on proper serving techniques, attitudes and demeanor. We could tell his parents definitely raised him correctly. Mattia {Matt} D'Errico.“
“I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful birthday lunch for my mom ? We were fortunate enough to have the BEST waitress Tookies has to offer, Ms. Kat!! She was attentive, kind, and treated my mom like she was her mom. When my mom wasn't a fan of the spicy chili, she went back to the kitchen and got the not so spicy one and then made sure it was ok when she brought it back for my mom. The food was SO GOOD! And the drink I got was tasty too. Kat even brought out a little birthday pie for my mom, and it was all decorated It was a beautiful day out, and we enjoyed our food, service, and time there. Thank you, Kat, for being an outstanding waitress!“
