“The food and service here is spectacular. Everything is wonderful, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I usually order birria tacos or gorditas. The prices are a little steep but you get a lot of food and will not be hungry once you're done. The people behind the counter are always nice and smiling. One of my favorite places for lunch.“
“Overall the food has always been delicious. My wife had the chicken enchiladas with green chili sauce and I had the al carbon enchiladas with the fajita beef. Just perfect! We will be back next time we are in the mood for Mexican Food. It does jot get better than this.“
“Our family goes there to eat all the time, the food is delicious!! Highly recommended ? don't wait to try the food, everything is delicious, thank you very much! They are always very kind to people too, see you laterParking: Because of the gas station and the delicious food there is not very many places to park buf believe me the wait is worth it!“
“You definitely get your money’s worth here when it comes to the quantity of food.My favorite is the fusion fries, so if you go here, definitely try that out.I recently tried the spicy korean chicken zoodles (zucchini as noodles), and while it was satisfying at the beginning, the dish ended being quite watery in the end which was a little unexpected.“
“My husband was feeling under the weather and we went to get the soup. He said it was delicious and it definitely made him feel better. Ashley was our server and she was gracious and very detailed in our ordering.Great personality! Will definitely have the soup again!“
“Allie was very attentive. She was checking on us every 5 minutes. She was very sweet. The only problem I had is when we first got here there were plenty of tables outside and we told them we want to eat out there. The gentleman who seated us said he didn't think that was possible. I of course ask why. He said Quote I don't know .? all in all Allie made everything alright.“
“Stopped by from out of town for a conference and decided to see if I could get a good burrito as the other food options in town just weren't doing it for me. Went in for the reviews. As soon as I saw the atmosphere I knew my burrito was about to be fire! I was super happy with my burrito and it was the perfect flavor combo! The service was personable and fast! The lean sauce was the perfect touch to my burrito. Not only did I come back the next day for lunch but plan to be visiting this restaurant everytime I'm in town! Thanks again!“
“I had the shrimp enchiladas and they were good and mild if you don’t like spicy food. They also had spinach enchiladas if you are vegetarian. The berry basil and lavender raspberry margarita were delicious!!! I would go just for drinks and never ending chips and red and green sauce! Go hungry and thirsty and with a designated driver! ?“
“My favorite local Mexican restaurants me and my family go all the time the food is amazing and the staff are really nice and helpful and it never takes to long to get your food in all of my experiences the longest I think Ive had to wait after ordering was only like 10 minutes“
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Our visit to Jimmy Changas was nothing short of fantastic! Dining outdoors on a beautiful day with our family of six and our new puppy was an absolute delight. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff catering to our every need with a smile. As for the food, it surpassed our expectations with delicious Texmex flavors that left us craving more. We're already planning our next visit to Jimmy Changas - it's a must-try for Texmex enthusiasts!“
“It was a nice quiet place to relax between Drs appointments. Nice wait staff. Chips and salsa/green sauce was good. Lots of windows and a nice array of seating. I watched Fox News ? and learned about OJ as I sat down. So that was a memorable experience. they made me feel important and attentive to what made me happy. Sweet waitress. I will go back with my kids.also. or next time I have an appointment I'll go chill by myself. I did not go to the Bar but noticed it was clean, the fruit garnish tray was fresh and bright, she was telling me about margarita specials but I wasn't drinking so they have happy hour I presume. Seems a bit pricey in some areas but if you share bear it works!! Give it a try ?Kid-friendliness: Open floor design, lots of seating, bright and happy with windows and lighting.“
“the good was good.BUT...watch out for the workers, they will.have the little black gloves on..when handling the food.and the money, and shaking friends hands, and visiting friends at thier Trucks.and never change or take off.also constantly taking away making fun of customers..your choice...was there this weekend observed all this while waiting for my order..instant regret to eat the food“
“I absolutely love this place. If there’s 100 fans of this taco truck, I’m one of them. If there’s none, I am no longer alive. The food? Exquisite. The Aqua Fresca? Fresh. It’s a decadent experience. I call in orders and they are constantly so sweet and always answer fast.“
“Love everything about them! The food quality is always fresh and love their customer service. I usually get there late before they close on my way home. I make it a point to go at least twice a week. I have been to many taco trucks but this one is on top! Thank you!!“
“Ate here with a large group and had not been here in nearly a decade. The place was very nicely decorated for Easter but it was hiding the fact that the entire inside needs an update. The service was fast and friendly with no complaints. You still get free queso as part of your chips and salsa. I love the fact that the salsa is warm but it was a little flavorless. The overall food was just ok, not the best Mexican food but also not the worst.Parking: Watch out for the compact car only parking.“
“I had a lovely dinner here last night. My girlfriend and I ordered the combo fajitas, which were incredible. The rum raspberry smash was delicious, but what really stood out was the attentiveness and charisma of Stephen, our server. We felt so welcomed, and taken care of. Between the drink suggestions, and the menu knowledge, we will definitely be back soon, and even more so asking for Stephen to be our server again.“
“Killer tacos. Fresh and expertly prepared meat in fairly generous portions. If you are tired of being bent over on quality and price, then check them out. Hurry before inflation forces them to start cutting corners like everywhere else these days.“
“I was visiting a friend and she recommended this place — listening to her was a fantastic idea. Portions here are Texas-sized and the food was good. The lunch happy hour prices are fantastic. The service in the restaurant is some of the best I’ve ever experienced. I’ll definitely come back again. I clan see this place being very lively in the evenings when a big game is on TV.“
“The Bartenders on 4-4-24 evening. Care about there customers. The most important thing of being a bartender is to talk to your customers. To make them feel like they're welcome. Well the bartenders that night not only talked with all there customers they made me feel very important. That's how to bartend. Not a easy job.but these kids know what they are doing. As a ex general manager of a restaurant for 40 years. Very impressed.“
“Omg the BEST Restaurant ? I've been to other Gringos and wasn't happy and waiting all the time. The waiter was Awesome and made sure my Family and I was taken care of! The service was great on Sunday Evening of February 25th. Drinks were really great I have a new place to eat and enjoy life... The Boss was great he was helping the staff he had and seen that I was trying to order a to go and he came over. Customer service is the best I could ever ask for... They treat people how they wanna be Treated! Thank you and I will return ?“
“This is my favorite Mexican restaurant around. It's a low profile place. No cartoon mascots, just traditional dishes with good flavor. I love the fish dishes. Can't go wrong with tilapia, tacos or "seafood al vapor." Salsa is good too. They come with chips, of course. Borracho beans are nice and flavorful without being too salty. Beer is by the bottle with a decent Mexican and domestic selection. Margaritas are available too, with happy hour from noon to 6 pm. Give them a try if you're looking for something other than TexMex.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in front, manual door“
“Came all the way from Galveston...not disappointed?Chips & Salsa were really good (I'm really picky) so they past the test.Ordered Sizzling Fajitas with chicken and sausage and onions. Omg "Delish". Ok about the bakery...so many it was hard to choose...wanted them all?? ? also "Delish We will be back...Staff was really great and your coffee was fantastic???also. Thank you?“
“Husband and I ate here. We got a couple of combo meals. I don't remember the names of them, but they were only 12 bucks a piece. Their white queso is delicious. The other food we got was good as well. Neither one of us cared for their rice or refried beans. I know it happens sometimes, but I found a bone in my shredded chicken. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. I'd definitely go back.“
“The weekends are very busy in the morning. Head out early because sometimes they sell out the tamales and barbacoa plus the line can carry outside. I believe they open at 5. I go once a month. I typically buy a pound of Barbacoa, a medium cup of refried beans, Pico or salsa and a dozen hand made fluor tortillas. The cost is about $25 and feeds about 4. I am mentioning this because some ppl think they only sell single tacos. They also sell plates and have an area to sit at if you choose to eat their but its not a restaurant so dont expect to get service while eating there and clean up after yourself or simply carry food to go. They have a meat market if you want to take food home to grill or cook yourself. I like buying the fajita meat there, they thin it out for you if asked. The food is good and for me it's cheaper than going out to a restaurant.Parking: If you go during the wknd about 9 AM, parking lot is full.Wheelchair accessibility: No“
“I ordered barbacoa tacos, two flour and two corn... have not tried the flour ones but the corn están bien ricooos! I missed the cilantro and cebolla but is all good, I was lazy to go back, and the flavor was already tasty! I will go back and try the quesa birrias!“
“Wow!! This place has outstanding food. Their tamales and breakfast tacos are the best around. They cook everything fresh and hot. You should definitely give them a try. Their tamales have lots of meat and not much masa- exactly how I like them! The girls are so sweet and give exceptional service!“
“Visited Houston for the weekend and this place is definitely a hidden gem! Couldn’t find a restaurant open past 9/10, in Deer Park, that wasn’t generic fast food. And we were in the mood for tacos. The restaurants location was next to a tollway and a drinks to go shop (drive through). Quite a few parking spots and a little area to eat. Food smelt heavenly. Me and my family each got something different to try. They had a variety of menu options, both pamphlet form and largely displayed on the wall with prices and pictures. The cashier was so kind and patient. She took our orders and name, repeated everything back and even answered any questions we had. They take cash or card. Food was hot and fresh; it even survived a 30 minute car ride back to the hotel and it was still warm! They give a generous amount of food and at a good price. The meats are tender and juicy. The consomes are so delicious, it’s drinkable! The meals we bought satisfied every craving we had. Salty, spicy, good levels of heat. This food will put you to sleep!10/10 we visited the place again! Went another night past 11pm and the food was still beautiful in quality and presentation; hot and fresh!“
“The food at El Toro is great. This is where I come when I want a more authentic Mexican meal. I love love love the Pasole Rojo. The atmosphere is ordinary & when it is crowded, it can be so loud it is difficult to carry on conversations.“
“Had a dinner here in October on a Texas trip. Water is around 97 cents if you want it for a meal. Had 3 enchiladas verdes which includes rice + beans. Good portion size and was not super hot. Place was pretty crowded on Sunday night with what appeared to be local. Overall, good mom and pop restaurant.“
“At first we were skeptical because it’s a food truck with picnic tables but we really needed coffee so we went and the lady said they don’t have coffee but she will make it from her home for us. She brought out her coffee maker and was so accommodating. We then ended up getting half the menu and it was the best breakfast we’ve had here!“
“This is one of my favorite spots pre-Covid!Since then their prices for fajitas for 2 have sky rocketed. Used to be $50 bucks now you’ll be at $75. Just a heads up, so there isn’t any surprises. It’s still one of the best flavor local spots. Just don’t visit it quite as often anymore. The service is typically good, but some servers excel more than others. I’d suggest staying away from the bar sitting area if your not ordering drinks. The queso flamado is my favorite appetizer. Highly recommended for any cheese lovers out there. The fajitas for 2 is our go to, comes with everything you need. Rice, beans, tortillas, cheese, salsa, avocado, lettuce, grilled onions, bell peppers, etc. You can do a mix of chicken and fajitas if you like. We typically add the bacon wrapped shrimp to ours.If you like it quite, avoid the prime time hours. Or ask to sit outside or the back inside. Inside tends to get rather noisy.Wait times aren’t normally to bad.“
“Not only are these wonderful breakfast tacos but the owner and staff were amazing! I purchased 15 tacos and they worked together to get them to me fast! They were hot, delicious, and over stuffed. I will definitely be stopping by more often to buy these amazing breakfast tacos for my staff. Thank you!!“
“Ordered pickup on the app and for some reason got charged twice and kept getting a strange error. After calling the Baybrook location, the person who originally answered the phone was extremely nice and passed me along to the manager (Manny). Manny was also very helpful, polite, and helped work through the problem. Considering what would be an irritating situation, they made it as pleasant and smooth as possible.I've been going to that Torchy’s location (amongst others) for years for the delicious and consistent food, but the service is what will keep me going back long-term. Keep on keeping on team Torchys!“
“Our favorite Mexican Restaurant!! The food is ALWAYS excellent; always served promptly, it is always fresh & hot. Portions are quite generous. They have the best salsa IN THE WORLD. I could practically live on it. The chips are thin, crispy, & served warm. The wait staff is always pleasant- indicating Chuy's also must be a good place to work. We love many items on the menu, but my favorites are the soft shrimp tacos & the chicken tortilla soup. My husband loves the chicken enchiladas & chimichangas. I wasn't kidding when I said it is our favorite restaurant. Their music is sort of loud, but they happily adjust it, if you mention it. The decor is just fun! Love it there! Thank you, Chuy's!!!“
“My wife and I had an adventurous itch, so we decided to try Taqueria Chalupas. We are SO happy that we did! I tried the chorizo and egg. Virtually no grease nor gristle plus beans were amazing. Alejandra gave my wife her favorites. My wife had the cheese enchilada with mole sauce. She thought they were scrumptious. Perfect balance of heat and flavor. We had Tres Leches for dessert, and it did not disappoint! If you don't stop and try this place out, you're missing out on a great experience!“
“As a one day visitor for business. I made a quick stop get fajitas. The salsa is Fabulous! Fajitas chicken & steak were good but only thing missing was bell peppers. The meat you laid on a hugh bed of cooked onions.Other than that I enjoyed my meal & service !!“
“Incredible event set up, service and food. We’ve hosted an annual luncheon at LaBrisas in League City (518) for 12 yrs & we’ve had nothing short of the best customer service with LaBrisas. During our recent event on 2/25, Dustin, our head server was outstanding and went over and beyond to assure my guests were covered and that all aspects of our event were top notch. Blake is a constant strong leader and his example in superior customer service is evident in the training of the all the staff members we have met. The food was excellent, amenities (audio/visual), and space was perfect. We are so grateful for a local business that serves the community so well. Thank you LaBrisas! Please be sure to give Dustin and Blake kuddos for a job well done. With thanks, Jacquelyn Svoboda (Friends Thru the Fight)“
“I order from here quite a bit. I came here for my birthday with friends. The service is excellent along with the food. The tres leches cake was delicious along with the Mole Poblano. I like it here because the its not overly loud and you can easily carry a conversation with your group.“
“Really sweet people, and have great customer service! I love their breakfast tacos, great price and taste! I also enjoy the fact that they’re at a great location right of off hwy 3 & Hughes. They also did some catering for me before and the service was awesome along with reasonable prices ??“
“I ate here twice for lunch last week. Our servers were attentive and the food was good. I would say the only complaint was the frijoles a la charra came out lukewarm so we sent it back to get a hot bowl. Otherwise we enjoyed our experiences.“
“Our first time here...food was great and didn't wait long. Order was slightly wrong & it was totally okay...our server, Arleth went above and beyond and gave us the same order to go, on the house!!! Definitely coming back!! FYI El Sapo is gooood!“
“This used to be Guadalajara restaurant by the old laundry Matt. My favorite waitress in the world works there very long brown hair and it's usually braided. Food is amazing service is amazing... I love it when she brings me My sweet tea in a Togo cup before even asking me. Your the best mamm. Hope you never leave this Lucas's tortillas..Thank you for always having a smile on your face and greeting and serving me forever now. Love my breakfast burrito ? ?“
“This place is the very definition of “hidden gem.” It’s tucked away inside a small gas station. Small place but BIG flavor!! I had two carne guisada tacos after asking for a recommendation, and they did not disappoint. Best tacos I’ve had in a long time.“
“Here’s the thing, we absolutely love dining here at Bullritos. Doesn’t matter what time we visit, the food has always been delicious and fresh. We’ve been coming here for years. I know economy is what it is now but totally disliked that everything is basically “sold separately”. So it’s a lil bit disheartening but we still do love the food.“
“Loved this tex mex place. They have a wide variety on the menu, leaving me wanting to come back to try something new. I had the tacos & they were delicious. Also they have tasty chips & salsa and my friends swear by their margaritas. Everyone's meals looked absolutely delicious & a great place to come with family. Also nothing like their white queso.“
“Roger's is a great place to eat cheeseburgers and some Mexican food. Awesome little place! The staff are friendly and helpful.Parking: There is plenty of parking around the building.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, it is wheelchair accessible.“
“If you eat morons, you're a Moron Eater.Very delicious tacos on the Southeast side of Houston, and open very late as well. The woman serving here was extremely friendly, and we appreciate such a magnificent late night meal. It's not in my top 10 taco trucks in Houston, but there are some amazing ones here, and so the standards are high. When it comes to late night food it is more than worth the drive here, and they are very very good.“
“Our family's visits to Johnny Tamales are always the highlights of our dining adventures, thanks largely to the exceptional service we receive from Roger. This Tex-Mex haven has become our go-to spot, not just for its delicious and authentic flavors but for the warmth and excellence that Roger consistently brings to our experience. He remembers our preferences, suggests the perfect dishes to delight our palates, and ensures every visit is seamless and special. The quality of the food, from the sizzling fajitas to the savory enchiladas, is consistently outstanding, but it's Roger's personal touch that truly sets Johnny Tamales apart. His dedication to customer satisfaction and his ability to make every family feel valued and cared for are remarkable. We're grateful to have found not just a restaurant with great food, but a place where we're treated like family. Thank you, Roger, for making every meal at Johnny Tamales an unforgettable experience. Your commitment to excellence is why we'll keep coming back.“
“True working meat market with a very simple eating area.Mexican food is outstanding.Pricing is amazingly low.Mole sells out by 11:30 daily.Call in orders grab most of it.Parking is free but limited & entry/exit for autos is busy off Center St.Bathrooms are a joke.“
“I really enjoy going to a Mexican restaurant that has more options than the usual stuff. If you are ever in Kemah or in that area, I would highly recommend the spot.Last year, when I went on a cruise, I stayed at the hotel next door and tried this restaurant because they had vegetarian options and I happen to be a vegetarian.I was not disappointed in the least and that's why I made sure to stay at the same hotel this year so I could walk over in the morning and get some tacos before going on the cruise. Not a very big place but the food is awesome.“
