“Warm and welcoming was indeed this hide away gem. The home cooked food was good. The service was great! Even the customers who came in were pleasant. It's definitely a wonderful hometown family/friend feeling. Pork chops were seasoned well. Chicken strip was hand breaded and Definitely not prefrozen. Try them out !! I will definitely return soon such to experience the hospitality and try the daily dessert.“

“This is now a TOPS in my food establishments to venture to. Highly recommend this establishment to look into open this in Dayton. Dayton is booming like Mont Belvieu is. If you don't open here, I WILL still drive 30 minutes to Humble but closer means more money. I spend $13. and make 6 awesome sandwiches out of the large take home containers. Went there Feb 2nd and Will go back today. Not waiting for Feb. 22nd (that special you had for February). This is crazy but I couldn't stop eating that Fruity chicken salad. I will have 1 or 2 sandwiches TODAY but have to drive to Humble first.“

“Always excellent fish and shrimp. The " You call it" is a great choice for two, and the price is very reasonable.Parking: It is just a park and get out to order. The entryway and gravel drive are full of large pot holes that are impossible to miss them all. You must go slowly and carefully to enter the parking area.“

“I met my grandson there to exchange some paperwork. Candy was our waitress and she was amazing. She honored our wishes to just visit and she was most helpful and encouraging. She brought us more of your delicious rolls. It was the beginning of a very successful day. The reason that I only gave you three stars for atmosphere is because it was very loud in the restaurant and I had a little trouble hearing my grandson! You need more waitresses like Candy!!!!“

“1pm in the afternoon it was a quiet time, not busy at all. Had all you could eat fish fry for 2. Our meals were hot and appetizing with 3 fish filets, fries, hush puppies, and cole slaw. We did not care for the slaw. Loved the ambiance, soft music, and scenery with a view of lagoon. Had interactions with Steven, Edgar, and a young lady, and all were very friendly and professional. I am looking forward to the next visit for their Sunday Brunch 10-4pm.“

“So nice! Always has fresh food. This is the best Hartz in the area. They forgot to ring up one item so he just gave it to me. It's hard to find customer service like that anymore. Any other place would have just rang it up and charged me.“

“I eat A LOT of chicken, and I can't understand the 4 star rating of this place; better than Raising Cane's in price, flavor, atmosphere, and service.7-tender meal was about $14.50, enough for 2 people to share if you're not starving to death. All the food is delicious: tenders are excellent and not loaded with an excessive amount of breading like Cane's, so you get more chicken and less filler.Fries were fresh and crispy. The house sauce isn't as good as Cane's sauce but the fact that there are something like 15 sauce options MORE than makes up for it.Very nice porch to sit on if the weather is good.David provided excellent customer service.Only note is that the Texas toast could be thicker. However, it's well made with butter and garlic. Maybe add a 2nd piece of toast for the bigger combos?“
