When I arrived, the owner greeted me and sat me down at the only empty table. Took my order and brought me coffee. I started talking to him. Very nice man. Told me about his service in the navy, his work in the railroad. He sat down with me and ate a banana, probably his breakfast, and made feel like I was part of the family. “Chela's likely happens to be one of the best least heard of Mexican restaurants in San Anton'. The location on St Mary's near the San Antonio Zoo is better known, but the one on Broadway is unfortunately all too easy to miss. Still, I recommend it for the quality food, and portions they don't skimp on; even their tacos are sizeable. The location on Broadway at least is in need of cozying up, but for now, the food and friendly staff will have to do.“

“While in San Antonio we got a tip from the captain of the river walk boat ride to go to Teka Molino if we wanted to try good puffy tacos and Tex Mex. We wanted to go to a place the locals go to and not a tourist trap. Glad we followed up on this recommendation. The puffy tacos, enchiladas, beans and rice, etc were some of the best we ever had. The quantity of food was more than we could eat. Made for a great second meal. The person at the counter helped explain the options on their menu and followed up afterwards to see how we liked their food.
