“Family owned and operated restaurant bringing authentic Mexican food to New Braunfels. Everything on the menu is amazing, my favorite dish is whatever Oscar recommends. We visit weekly and enjoy every culinary experience. Recommend the Thursday evening cooking class.“
“We visited Lupe’s tortilla this evening for a late dinner and we’re not disappointed! We chose to get a small chips and queso with salsa for an appetizer , the fajita trio for 2 and add bacon wrapped shrimp! All was delicious! The flavor was great! The atmosphere was amazing, the seating was so spacious! It was nice to not be able to extend my hand and touch another table or hear other peoples conversations! We had a few margaritas, blue one was a little strong for me but still good! Price wasn’t bad either $118 and change before tip for all that food along with the amazing service! Definitely will be back!!“
“A nice spot that brought back some fun memories from 1981-1982, when I was a 7-8 year old living in New Braunfels. While the town has grown IMMENSELY in the last 42-43 years, it's nice to see a few of my childhood memories still in tact, and serving up food just as delicious as I remembered.“
“Yesterday was not my first time at Las fontanas but I had to write a review after our experience.I moved from NB 2 years ago but as I visited friends we chose to go back for a small birthday lunch after mass.My friends husband placed an order for an alcoholic drink and Mentone that he was taking it to celebrate his wife's bother and that was the only clue the server caught and brought the team out to sing and offer a free dessert that we all shared at the table.I feel so bad I forgot his name because he was fantastic!!! Took it orders without notes and got them all right - that always impresses meNote: the salsa is served warm and that was the first place I had that and love it!!!!!!They used to have live music on Saturday not sure if it's still a thing but a place il for sure recommend to all who want authentic Mexican food cooked and served with love and care.We also realized that the current manager used to work at a different restaurant amd was in some of the lady's birthday lunch ?Thank you all and stay blessed.“
“Remi did a phenomenal job today...her personality and happy disposition was infectious and inviting that helped transform our opinion of Dos Rios. The food was delicious and the churros were outstanding. Scotty's team all appeared to be working well together which lent itself to the overall pleasant atmosphere and dining experience.“
“I tried just about everything on the menu. The kids menu items suck. But, the regular menu is pretty good. My fave is the chicken fajita. One thing I wish they had was a picadillo (beef) taco. But they don't have any regular beef tacos unless you order from the kids menu. And like I say, the kids menu items are just not up to par. That's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.“
“This place has great atmosphere! I love the indoor/ outdoor patio built around big trees. It's walking distance from the river but also has parking and is wheelchair accessible. Their chips are excellent, puffy and crispy. The guacamole is incredibly creamy. The salsa and queso was the perfect amount of spicy. We loved the sizzling beef fajitas and quesadilla. This place has had been there for years. It's a nice spot to have lunch it dinner after a long day at the river.“
“First of all, this is coming from someone who is very familiar with Chuy’s! Been to TONS of locations, and even worked there for a short time. Food is excellent! Honestly, even better than other Chuys in the area. Nice staff as well! But, let’s get to some head-scratchers that I would like to list for management/corporate. Number 1, most glaring and obvious, why is this location so much smaller than average? NB is a huge town with a crazy tourist surge in the summertime, and this location does not have the space to accommodate. Number 2, everytime we come here, it’s freezing. Even when it’s warm outside. It makes the dining experience uncomfortable because it feels like the temperature is at 55F. Number 3, another entrance and exit to the location is desperately needed, it is nearly impossible to safety get to from the highway turnaround or coming from creekside.“
“The food was just a little bland to me to be worth the cost of it, if you get what I'm trying to say. It's that what we paid was extremely too much for the food not to be on point! The margaritas could have been a little stronger. I haven't drank in 2 years. With 2 margaritas at $16.99 a piece, I should have at least had a buzz but I didn't feel nothing. The hostess was bubbly and nice. The server could have hidden his judgement a little better and done his job. He seemed either annoyed or thought we weren't going to tip him well. As a server myself I know the struggle and all the work that goes into working them tables. He could have been more personable and never should my table have to ask 3 seperate times for a refill if there is only 2 other tables in the whole restaurant and 4 servers. I ALWAYS tip accordingly. Bad service=exact tip Good service= gratuity+ some. He got the order right was the only positive remark about the service. I think the cooks, servers and bartenders should go do some retraining at the Seguin location.“
“$Just tried it for the first time. These tacos are a good size with plenty of meat for $3.99 each. The only thing I was iffy about is the meat is premade sitting in warmer containers. The meat did have great flavor though. We got picadillo & carne asada. Both were good & the full size tortillas are really good. Made on site maybe. The only thing that slacked was the Chile. The red was more like tomato sauce and the green had a weird after taste either lime or it was spoiled idk something didn't taste right about it.. I do want to try the breakfast tacos they have those for 2 for $4. Overall it was good.“
“On a brief trip to NB I stopped through here and got a handful of items for a group. Once i got to our meetup we tore into everything that i had ordered. Nothing was left over, everything was excellent. The top honors go to the spicy brisket nachos though, they were just amazing. The birra tacos took a close second, but dang…. If you happen to be anywhere near here I would strongly recommend checking them out!!“
“One of our neighborhood neighbors had recommended Casa Garcia’s, so we decided to try it out one day while we were in New Braunfels. Casa Garcia’s was great! The chips and salsa were very good.I got the Beef Enchiladas lunch plate and my wife got a senior plate with a shredded chicken taco. Everything was soooo good and tasty! If you’re in the area and want a good place to eat lunch, stop by Casa Garcia’s, you won’t be disappointed.“
“We came for dinner on a busy Wednesday evening. The hosted was very friendly and greeted us right away. We were sat right away, greeted by our server, and everything was great! Food, service, and overall experience was excellent! Carolyn was fantastic and did a great job!“
