“The food is ok at best, my family and I ate there this last weekend as a quick stop. We dined in to ensure the freshness of the food would be hot. What we thought would be a great meal turned out to be something that we were all left wanting something else. None of us finished our meal for many reasons. The juice soaked through the buns so fast that it became a soggy mess that actually would have been better off eating with a fork. I asked for no lettuce or tomatoes on mine and got lettuce and no pickles. The flavor of normal was way off on the fries like the oil had not be changed in a good while. There was an overwhelming smell of burnt food at the counter when ordering that was a bit of a turnoff as well which may have caused the partial loss of appetite. Top all of that off with folks taking your order consistently clearing their throat to the point you could hear the congestion really set things off for us. To make things even better, none of the fountain drinks were working and we were stuck to having the lemonade. But as a side note, the lemonade is likely the best thing at this location!“
“I can’t say enough about this special spot. We saw PB&J with Tay on The Texas Bucket List and made sure to stop by when we were in San Antonio. I brought my family of 8, and within five minutes after ordering, we all had our food. The selection of unique PB&J combos was amazing! We each ordered a different version to try. The standouts were The Double Decker, The Elvis, and The Rocky Road. It was a perfect twist on a nostalgic favorite. The bread was soft and fluffy, but perfectly toasted. The different jams and jellies alongside peanut butter and toppings like bacon and banana were delightful! The owner, Jeremiah, is incredibly warm and friendly, and made sure everyone got the full rundown of the menu and all the combinations we could try. We will be back for sure! In fact, we ate so fast that we didn’t even get a picture of the food, but grabbed a picture of Jeremiah and the famous Tay!Parking: Plenty of free parking around the restaurantKid-friendliness: A great place for kids, and adults!“
“A casual diner type sandwich shop with flavors that are anything but casual. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and assisted with some solid recommendations. I ended up going with the pork belly sandwich and french onion soup. I was not prepared. The portions exceeded my expectations. The pork belly had a fantastic crisp to it and was greatly complimented with the spread and pickled onions. My only issue is that I'm going to have to drive back here to eat the rest of these sandwiches.“
“This is one of our favorite spots to eat in San Antonio! We love the reina pepiada, the chicharrones, and the yucca fries. Today, we got almond milk cappuccinos, which had the perfect amount of foam, and we also tried the pernil arepa, so good!“
“I was pleasantly surprised to find an authentic Jewish deli counter in San Antonio. This was possibly the best sandwich I've ever had in my life, I had the cheesesteak with everything and my friend had the Reuben which I tried and was also incredible. To top it all off, the employees were super friendly. I may have to come back every weekend.“
“First time coming here, it was so good! So good i forgot to take a picture! Ive been wanting to go here for months, and it far exceeded my expectations! The girl working there was so nice and helpful. I got the chickpea sandwich and it was delicious, some salt and vinegar chips with it were perfection ? I will definitely be coming back. Easily the best sandwich place in San Antonio!“
“Tried this place for first time and I had no idea how delish the sandwiches are! Love the watermelon tea! Excellent service provided by young man (I believe I saw the name tag spelled Jayden) taking our order,I will be back again to try a different flavor.“
“Subway is an great way to customize your sandwich. The bread is baked daily. The meat is sliced that morning. Vegetables are cut in the morning and stored for the day.
