“The atmosphere here is lively and fun, especially if you enjoy 80s and 90s music. The food is generally great, though I did notice a few quirks. For example, I ordered a simple chicken and cheese quesadilla instead of their Cajun version. While they had no problem making the change, I was still charged the full $14 Cajun price, which felt a bit steep for a small 8-inch tortilla cut into four slices with no sides. It wasn’t worth the trouble to bring it up with the waiter since the place was pretty busy.
That said, the live music is fantastic and easily my favorite part of coming here. As for the DJ, I’ve heard him a few times, he can be hit or miss and doesn’t always seem to read the crowd well.
Overall, it’s a great spot with a fun vibe, especially if you’re into live music and a nostalgic soundtrack.”

“Last week I was in the southern part of Texas. I ended up in Laredo at the end of the week. When I checked in to the hotel there was a flyer for Texas Roadhouse, coupons for discount from the hotel. But I can go there at home so I asked the Hispanic person at the counter for a recommendation for a Mexican place. She mentioned a place near the hotel, walking distance even. I assumed being less than 5 miles from the US-Mexico border I was going to get some really good food. That is not what happened. It wasn’t bad food, they were somewhat busy so obviously people frequent the place. I can only assume it’s more of a regional thing that the locals enjoy. The chips were made in house, very hard. The 3 salsas were good so I give them that. My dish was bland, only standout was the refried beans. All of that to lead to the next day, my coworker and I met at the site we were to work at and when lunchtime came he found a place nearby. We were at a busy exit off of the interstate, several gas stations and restaurants but we saw 2 taco trailers parked with customers waiting and changed plans. We parked and went to one and ordered some of the best tacos I have had. 4 kinds of meat, great sauces, plentiful portions. Everything one would and should expect from a taco truck/trailer in south Texas!!!”

“I usually shy away from Mexican seafood on the Texas/Mexico border, but La Laguna was highly recommended by local drivers. The huachinango diabo sauce was fantastic. I was impressed with the size of the Gulf of Mexico Red Snapper. A lot of deep fried options on the menu-in true Texas tradition. They do offer aguachiles and different seafood soups which Is nice to see. Chips and salsas are great. The guacamole salsa was one of the best I ever had. Impeccable service, very nice and tranquilo setting. Truck parking available.”
